When I sync iPhone calendars (Outlook) using iTunes none of the appointments made on the phone transfer to laptop. Appts made on laptop do transfer to iPhone. How can I fix this so both update?

I option+clicked the restore button to point it to the backup that was made today, but when i go to the "/Users/username/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/backup" folder there are no clickable files to select. Am I looking in the right place? How do I restore from that most recent backup? I would like to do it without having to completely restore my phone again.

On installing itunes on my new laptop, I was Not able to sync over wifi (had the wifi sync optioned selected)Not able to transfer music from new laptop
I just want to retain all the apps(including progress) and the messages etc. I have a backup of my songs, so I can put them in itunes +iPhone again.

I am new to WP7 and Lumia 800. I found that all my calendars (google, livemail, exchange mail) can only show the past 2 weeks appointments in calendar.
e.g. today is 1/1, I can only see the earliest appointment on 18/12 (last 2nd Sunday)

ever since unpacking, my laptop wont recognize my new iphone 5S 64GB. I tried reinstall several times of itunes and assorted apple services and drivers, restarts of win7 64 bit ultimate and iphone too, no luck. I tried different ports for USB (without other things attached), different sides, different cables - nothing.Â
All other ipads and iphones we have connect perfectly and are recognized in itunes. I even had a home 64bit version of win7 on same laptop, and it is recognized there, but I cant do anything with that version since its damaged. I tried all apple support steps in several documents. I even tried parallel connected iphones to see how the new one behaves in terms of charging (charging also doesnt work) and I got this:Â
1. both iphones start charging on laptop restart.Â
2. both stop charging in middle of windows loading.Â
3. When windows are loaded, old iphone normaly recharges and is seen in itunes, new one not. New one from the box NEVER had option to trust computer.Â
I hear a pluging and unpluggin sound when I connect my usb or lightning connector for that new iphone. but nothing further. I tried stopping and restarting services etc...Looks to me like my iphone remembers my laptop AND win instalation and doesnt want to connect to them.Â

It also allows me to have a color coded system in my calendar (work is one color, personal is one, etc), see the picture.This is probably the place where I'm different than others, I started keeping it on the BB before setting up my outlook calendar, yahoo calendar, or either of my google calendars. Is there a way to sync from the phone to the other calendars without ending up deleting my BB calendar inputs or ending up with duplicates or ending up with all of the events under one calendar.I hope that makes sense. I have got the iphone 5 - 7.1.2 software update and I managed to go as far as making a custom made ringtone that shows in itunes as an m4r.
When I try to sync my phone it doesn't pick up the ringtones tho. I tried unchecking and syncing and then checking and syncing again but its not working.
