IPhone :: Can't Delete Appointments Made By Others
May 8, 2012
if somebody makes an appointment, invites me, I accept. It is in my calendar. Then I change my mind and want to edit or delete this event. I dont get that option, how do I do this?
When I sync iPhone calendars (Outlook) using iTunes none of the appointments made on the phone transfer to laptop. Appts made on laptop do transfer to iPhone. How can I fix this so both update?
I set up the VPN and synch the calendar with our company's Exchange server. I have no information about the Exchange server, and no way to make or suggest any changes to it. In short, the company has blackberries tied to the server, and doesn't want to support employees using iphones to get email and calendar info.
Even so, the sync was working; I checked that it synced in both directions - appointments entered in exchange came to my phone, and appointments entered on my phone got added to the Exchange calendar. I set the calendar to have yellow dots next to the appointments to tell them from my personal appointments. Then today I turned on the VPN, opened the calendar, and all my new appointments I had entered on my phone throughout the day were deleted. Appointments that show up are now marked blue, and all my yellow appointments are gone.
Since I don't use iCloud and hadn't plugged into iTunes, I'm assuming those appointments are irretrieveably lost Did the admin change the Exchange server or did I somehow mess up by assigning a color to the calendar other than the default?
I tried to delete a few recurring appointments from my calendar. When I view my calendar the appointments still appear. I attempt to try and delete the appointments again and I receive the following message:
Appointment deleted externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed.Does anyone know how I can delete my appointments and not have them appear? In some cases, the same appointment is listed twice.
I have a new 8530 used for work. I went into the calendar options on the device and told it to keep calendar appointments forever (learned the hard way from a previous Blackberry) and yet when it syncs the calendar it wants to delete appointments older than sixty days everytime I try to sync.
I've looked all over the boards here for options but so far I think I've done everything anyone suggests. I really hope this isn't just something I have to learn to live with or a price to pay for having a Blackberry. We don't use Enterprise Server yet, so my device syncs by plugging it directly into my computer at work.
This is not the same problem as the earlier post today from the guy getting this message in error. I have a car hook-up that uses the dock connector into my CD changer and it works just great. It was originally for an older iPod so it doesn't charge my iPhone 3Gs but I'm OK with that.
Every time I plug in however I get "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone". I know it's not made to work with iPhone, I understand what it's telling me and I'm happy with that - is there some way to permanently dismiss this message?
My iphone4 has recently made a call by itself! I have a 4 digit passcode lock, not sure if it has happened before but will be checking my 'recents' list in future.
The call was made to someone in my contacts and lasted for nearly 7 mins......I have also experienced the disappearing songs problem and had to reload part of an album from my itunes library on pc.
So I just got an iPhone yesterday , to make an apple ID I used my email address. It told me the email is already in use , even though I never made an apple ID before but anyway it told me to change the password for it ,So I went and did that but it seemed like somebody else had been already using my email address as their apple ID because when I went into manage account , firstly the name was totally different , the address was Canada's and a phone number was there too and security questions were asked in French. Now that sort of freaked me out, has someone hacked my email address or what ? And why would they use my email address as their apple ID why couldn't they use their own ? Btw I didn't change any information on the account yet just Incase I had to report it to apple ( and I'm still not able to use it as my apple ID)
I have an IMAC, 2008 intel model. It accepts all DVDs I have but will not load some DVD's I just had made from VHS tapes. The company says that their MACs load the discs ok and they local apple store loads them ok. They also load on my windows XP machine ok. But on my IMAC they go in the slot grind a little and then are ejected again. Anybody got a solution to this?
My phone was slowing down, so i restored it and chose the wrong backup (i did not see the backup that was made today). I option+clicked the restore button to point it to the backup that was made today, but when i go to the "/Users/username/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/backup" folder there are no clickable files to select. Am I looking in the right place? How do I restore from that most recent backup? I would like to do it without having to completely restore my phone again.
I have got the iphone 5 - 7.1.2 software update and I managed to go as far as making a custom made ringtone that shows in itunes as an m4r.
When I try to sync my phone it doesn't pick up the ringtones tho. I tried unchecking and syncing and then checking and syncing again but its not working.
I also can not choose to manually sync my phone. Whenever I click the button for it it disappears.
I just upgraded to a Iphone 5 c and bought new ringtones. Did the update 8.1.1 and all purchased ringtones disappeared. After talking to Apple about the problem, I was told they would not credit my account because they are aware of this problem.
Info: iPhone 5c, iOS 8.1.1, My iTunes purchased ring tones gone
Ashikase has a new app in Cydia called Last App. It keeps track of your most recent app and allows you to switch quickly between it and the foreground app. Optionally it will background the current app when switching. It's perfect for playing a game while chatting with friends on Beejive or for quickly checking that tutorial without losing your place in Settings.Activation is through libactivator, so there are plenty of ways to invoke it. I've got mine to switch on swipe-in from bottom-right.Ashikase has also made Kirikae libactivator compatible, so it can be similarly activated. I've now got Kirikae set to invoke on swipe-in from bottom-left.Much faster than holding home.
When a contact on my iphone 4 is updated it puts at the top of my contact list. Also all music is in the 123 category. You can see in the pictures what problem I am having. How do I fix this?
It seems iphone's calendar automatically deletes past appointments. It won't even let me make an appointment for something that happened in the past. I need to reference old appointments though so is there some way to make the iphone save old appointments or at least ask me? It has nothing to do with syncing to my computer as I rarely do that. This is really annoying. My old Palm would save everything and it was great since I could go back and see the last time I went to the dentist, etc.
I have a Verizon iPhone 4s running IOS 5.1.1 (9B206) managed by Mobile Iron and synchronizing with an Exchange Server 2007 SP3. It appears that certain calendar entries, which are present when viewed in Outlook, are not synching over to the iPhone. The only pattern I have been able to establish is that most of the appointments in question are calendar invites from other parties. The interesting thing is that the majority of appointments that are invites from other parties synchronize over to the iPhone fine, and I have worked through a number of test scenarios, but can't seem to pinpoint the cause of the issue. I have read through a number of threads and it seems that this has affected others as well, but no proposed solutions I have tried thus far seem to fix the issue.
My iPhone 4S has been damaged on the lateral metal bezel (made of aluminum): can I send my iPhone to apple for repair assistance? Because if I send my phone to a shop, I'll lose the warranty.
I had the same Notes on both my iPad and my iPhone. Some made on the iPad and some made on the iPhone. Now adter syncing in iTunes I seem to have lost all my iPad made notes on my iPhone. I still have both sets of Notes on my iPad.Also I added my MobileMe email address to the list of my email addresses I have in Mail on my iMac. My MobileMe emails were then sent to my iMac including all my notes backup both from my iPad and iPhone. So my Notes are not deleted or lost, just none of my iPad notes are now on my iPhone.Read the support BB's are now VERY confused what to do to restore my iPad Notes on my iPhone. On iPhone, I only seem to have: All Notes / On My iPhone / my MobileMe email address While on my iPad, I have: All Notes / From my Mac / my MobileMe email address My iPhone is 3GS. My iPad is a 2, both running the very latest iOS. Sync almost daily, never had this problem Think it occured when I added MobilMe to Mail on my iMac, but don't know for sure!
I have a reoccurring problem with appointments that are set in Outlook that will appear immediately on my iPhone calendar, but when I check back later sometimes the event has been deleted from my iPhone calendar but not from my Outlook calendar. It's driving me mad. Some of the times it does this is when I send an invite through outlook for an event to another user. The event will appear on my iPhone calendar but once the other person accepts my event invitation it will disappear from my iPhone calendar, but remain on my Outlook calendar. It doesn't do this everytime, but seems to be when I notice this happening the most.
On my phone settings I have the outlook calendar set as my default calendar. My iPhone is also synched with two gmail accounts a Hotmail and an icloud account. The only calendars I actually use however are my Outlook and the the iPhone calendar.
I feel like I should be able to schedule meetings and calls for specific contacts from the contact information screen. No button is present for his on my screen. I want to be able to look up "Bill Smith" and see his information and then schedule a call or meeting with him from that screen.
