View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't send pictures taken from my new BB Bold 9900 to my desktop, it kept saying "File Transfer Failed to find service." But I can send files, without any problems, from my desktop to my phone.
I am a new BlackBerry user so I don't know if I', doing something wrong.
I have a 9900 Bold and I unable to get BB Desktop Software to work. Have tried uninstalling old version I had for my 9300 - but this is not happening either. A note comes up stating that my Mac, running 10.5.8 needs, to be ungraded yet I was able to make it all work the first time I synced the phone last weekend but not since I also have no service books - my provider has not sent them 4 times but none arriving. Means I can receive emails but with no send button, can not reply.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a BB9900 running device software 7.0. I also have BB Desktop Software 6.1.0.36 installed. I run Windows 7. I am trying to connect my computer to my BB using bluetooth so I can sync wirelessly. Bluetooth is enabled on my 9900 and my computer is a "paired device". However when I use the Desktop software and try to "add a bluetooth enable device" it can't find my phone. Also when I go through Devices and Printers on my computer I can see the phone (bluetooth is enabled on the computer) although there is a driver problem identified that windows can't fix.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to find out why the Desktop Software is recommending me to update my OS7 version, and also to downgrade my BBM software. Whenever I go to Device->Software Updates on the phone, it says my Blackberry is upto date (7.0 Bundle 1315). And I already installed the new BBM update a few weeks ago(version 6.0.0.129). Note my carrier is T-Mobile. Can anyone inform me why I get update recommendations on the Desktop program and not the phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9900, which I sync via version 7.1 of the Blackberry Desktop Software to my desktop PC, which is running Outlook 2010 with Microsoft Exchange 2007. The one area that does not sync is the calendar. Changes in my desktop sync to the Blackberry, but changes in the Blackberry will not sync to the desktop. I have checked the settings umpteen times and had others check them. i have removed all Cical entries on the Blackberry. I have completely re-set the Blackberry and settings.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, I just upgraded to a new Bold 9700 w/ Desktop Mgr 5.0.1.
I understand the complications some experience with this, and have diagnosed nearly everything (firewalls, virus protection, USB connection works, full/clean uninstall of old DTM, etc, etc.).
The unit is recognized by my PC and DTM. I can successfully search and download software updates, but I continue to get this error about "Your computer must be connected to the internet to perform this operation." It's maddening!
I use a stand alone PC running XP and using Outlook 2003. I'm not on any network. Don't use BES. I transferred all data from an old 8130 to this with no problem, I just can't get the initial sync to happen.
The only remaining solutions I've read about (although don't really understand) are:
1. ensuring COMM ports 80 and/or 443 are open to the device. How exactly do I do this? Really, I have no clue what that means.
2. Finding an old version of Destop Manager (4.2 and earlier). Got a URL handy?
3. changing my bberry router configuration. This sounds drastic, but at least it's a workaround.
I upgraded my Bold 9700 and when I try to sync I get:Intellisync cannot log onto exchange server. Please check server access or provide a valid password?I tried to uninstall the new desktop 6.0 and it says there is some kind of error so it will not uninstall.I reinstalled over the 6.0 and that didn't[t work either?

I have tried deleting both items several times then reloading but it just shows no lists to sync. I can load the music by downloading onto the SD card but it is so annoying as it has worked, I think it may be a microsoft problem blocking but Im not sure.

will not sync calendars - says available applications are none, ASCII, Yahoo
did sync contacts but left some out and does not update
I used to be able to sync my calendar from outlook to my Bold no problem. Now, the sync routine within the Blackberry Desktop application just skips calendar sync completely, nothing in the log file, just gives a little beep. Tasks, contacts, memo all sync fine. I have updated all device SW (5.0.0) and desktop versions. I have done hard resets, combined all calendars to one, etc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been working on this now (i.e., researching blogs, google, etc.) for hours and it is NOT going well! I have a new Blackberry Bold 9900 that I need to sync with MS Office Outlook 2007, particularly the contacts and calendar. I am using OS7.1 Bundle 921 (v 7.1.0.267 Platform 5.1.0.230) and Desktop Manager. The config setting in DM for Contacts Account shows only Windows Contacts, with no option to change to Outlook. When I then attempt to sync, the process wants to add all the contacts in my BB to some unknown address book on the computer. My BB shows my BB contacts as "default", whatever that is. My frustration is mounting exponentially. I am a converted iPhone user that really wants to give RIM a chance, but this isn't going so well.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter my most recent sync with my Toshiba Satellite laptop, all of my old appointments disappeared. I think that there was an option to do this and I am sure that I did not do this intentionally. It has never happened before on previous syncs. I am running software 7.1 Bundle 998 but do not have Outlook on my laptop. I am pretty sure everything is backed up in a .bbb file from the date of this sync. The question is how do I restore all of these old appointments to my calendar from this file or elsewhere.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using DM6 for the last week or so and am very disappointed. It does not seem to remember the last time that I synced or backed up. The only time it remembers is the first time I synced my BB with it. Not such a big issue for syncing, but I like my BB to backup weekly...so once a week has passed after the first sync, it wants to back up every time.
DM 5.0.1 worked flawlessly, but since I am using Outlook 2010, I can't go back.Come on RIM, you can do better than this.Any suggestions on how to get DM to remember when it actually backed up or synced?
