Following the latest software upgrade I get the message when trying to sync my Bold 9900: "Caught_com_error exception. Description():-2147023151 (0x800706D1): ErrorMessage(): The procedure number is out of range.source()null)".
View 2 RepliesI have a jailbroken & unlocked (used RedSn0w) 3G running 3.0 that I want to upgrade to either 3.1 or 3.1.2 so I can run a couple of applications which require 3.1 or higher.
I've searched around and haven't found what I consider straight forward information. So my question is do I use the Pwnage tool to modify a 3.1.2 firmware and then restore from that, then use RedSn0w to unlock again?
If I use the Pwnage tool to create a custom IPSW, do I tell it to activate or not?

what happens when I receive my shinny new iPhone 4?
I currently have the iPhone 3G and of course lots of apps, videos, music, contacts and so on.
I pre-ordered the iPhone 4 for delivery, So, when the new phone arrives, do I sync my old iPhone 3G and then plug in the new iPhone 4 and restore from the iPhone 3G backup?
I am asking because I don’t want to screw-up the new phone when I get it.
I'm wondering when the OS 7.1 update will be released for 9900 users on the Rogers network.

I believe I want to restore my 4 with my current 3gs settings in order to save everything; I am also giving my 3gs to another non iphone user on my family plan so I need to wipe my 3gs and get it ready to be activated by them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received a Bold 9900 handset via RIM EPP program. It came with installed software version 7.0 Bundle 2395(v. 7.0.0.579, Platform 5.0.0.735). I am having trouble with using Appworld and among other things sudden resets to handset. Have tried couple of time to upgrade the handset to 7.1 software using both desktop manager as well as OTA mode, it always tells me you have latest build installed. if there is a way to update this handset as it is not working very well for me at present.

At one stage it went back to the "backing up data" screen and re-backed everything up. Note that I did the upgrade on the device without using the desktop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9900 battery life has significantly worsened after the recent OS 7.0 Bundle 2406 upgrade. I had previously struggled to get through the day on one battery charge, but I typically could make it for a day with general business email use, limited calls and no internet browsing. Now after the recent 2406 upgrade, I only get about 50% as much battery life. Additionally, the small centre black box with the rotating white second hand is now a regularly occurring feature throughout the day, and I have had to pull my battery out to reboot my BlackBerry much more often. I have since stripped out all the apps, cut back on all other battery draining features (screen brightness, wifi, Bluetooth, gps, etc), and moved to 2G to extend my battery life. I was already unhappy with the poor BlackBerry Bold 9900 battery life, but after this latest upgrade, it's now unacceptable for business use when it only works for 1/2 a day. Hopefully this is a recognized RIM battery life issue for the Bold 9900 that's being quickly addressed.

I have a new Blackberry Bold 9900 that I need to sync with MS Office Outlook 2007, particularly the contacts and calendar. I am using OS7.1 Bundle 921 (v 7.1.0.267 Platform 5.1.0.230) and Desktop Manager. The config setting in DM for Contacts Account shows only Windows Contacts, with no option to change to Outlook. When I then attempt to sync, the process wants to add all the contacts in my BB to some unknown address book on the computer. My BB shows my BB contacts as "default", whatever that is. My frustration is mounting exponentially. I am a converted iPhone user that really wants to give RIM a chance, but this isn't going so well.

I think that there was an option to do this and I am sure that I did not do this intentionally. It has never happened before on previous syncs. I am running software 7.1 Bundle 998 but do not have Outlook on my laptop. I am pretty sure everything is backed up in a .bbb file from the date of this sync. View 3 Replies View Relatedi've got a brand new bold 9900, recently upgraded to the latest OS7 version. However when trying to sync by BBerry Desktop Software it starts ok but suddenly pops "error trying to open the device data base", then jumps to the next screen and finishes the whole process.
I realized that TASKS app doesn't work on my device. It prompts the error "Uncaught exception: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException".
My problem is somewhat simple but I can't figure out how to solve it.From the Desktop Manager, I upgraded my blackberry 9780 to the OS Version 6.0 with the usual procedure.cAfter all that, my emails sync didn't actually synched. Since then, each time I try to start the Emails Setup Initialization, it ask me to activate my email accounts. You check the ones who want and it asks you to Verify the email by entering your password what I gladly did multiple times. When I press Verify it simply crash and say it's unable to Verify.Well, I tried to roll back before my upgrade. The rollback worked but didn't solved my problem.

It went through all the motions ok and then at the end it came up with the usuall t/c's to confirm so i clicked on " I agree" and thats where it has stuck ? So now I have no fb on my phone .
