I have just upgraded to to OS 7.1 and since then only the speaker is active, i cannot use the phone nor headphones. On a call i only have the optioon to use the speaker, i cannot change back to the phone itself.

I didn't use the earphone until now because I wanted to try if it has a mic and to try it if it works when I call someone. When I tried to test it by playing music in my media, only the left speaker was working. My beats earphone works tho, I even plugged the blackberry earphones on my laptop to make sure if its the phone's problem or the earphones' problem and its the same thing. Only the left side was working. Its so new and I didn't even used it till now.

I am having trouble with using Appworld and among other things sudden resets to handset. Have tried couple of time to upgrade the handset to 7.1 software using both desktop manager as well as OTA mode, it always tells me you have latest build installed. if there is a way to update this handset as it is not working very well for me at present.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 9700 that I got back in December, and I have a problem.Just today, my 9700 started exhibiting a strange problem whereby it will not produce ANY sound at all for not only incoming calls, texts, e-mails, etc. but also it won't play any sound if a play an mp3.I've done numerous OS reloads, tried different versions of OS, but nothing.
What I have found, though, is that if I push in on the screen slightly, it will produce sound. Why is this? Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

At one stage it went back to the "backing up data" screen and re-backed everything up. Note that I did the upgrade on the device without using the desktop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9900 battery life has significantly worsened after the recent OS 7.0 Bundle 2406 upgrade. I had previously struggled to get through the day on one battery charge, but I typically could make it for a day with general business email use, limited calls and no internet browsing. Now after the recent 2406 upgrade, I only get about 50% as much battery life. Additionally, the small centre black box with the rotating white second hand is now a regularly occurring feature throughout the day, and I have had to pull my battery out to reboot my BlackBerry much more often. I have since stripped out all the apps, cut back on all other battery draining features (screen brightness, wifi, Bluetooth, gps, etc), and moved to 2G to extend my battery life. I was already unhappy with the poor BlackBerry Bold 9900 battery life, but after this latest upgrade, it's now unacceptable for business use when it only works for 1/2 a day. Hopefully this is a recognized RIM battery life issue for the Bold 9900 that's being quickly addressed.

The issue I am getting is frequently mobile is getting silent automatically No ringtone is ringing, when I am getting incoming call only display is coming, when I am receiving call I cannot hear anything. So everytime I have to switch off mobile and remove battery and restart the phone again, for sometime everything is working fine but after some hours again getting silent.
When I make calls and recieve calls, no sound comes from the earpiece at the top, the volume level is maxed out and nothing. Then when I go and press the speaker it works. The phone is only 1 week old... the only thing installed is battery doctor

Lately when placing and receiving calls I cannot hear anything put dead air. No ring tone when calling out, or the voice of the caller when accepting a new call. To fix the issue I have pulled the battery. However, a few hours later the issue will start again.
I recently purchased an HTC M9+ for my dad. This is the first HTC device in my family. The device looks good, in terms of design, premium material and overall look and feel. Its just one day, therefore too early to give feedback, although the camera and its features are amazing.
The only issue that I am facing is its boom sound speakers. The sound is very low. HTC M8 & 9 and famous for its boom sound dual speakers, therefore I presume, it should be loud. But in this case the speaker sound its crap. Whether I set mp3 as a ringtone, play mp3 in the music player or play youtube. Its not even closer to my Lumia 930 and my mom's Galaxy S6 edge's mono speakers. I expect these stereo speakers to complete outperform the mono speaker of Lumia and Galaxy smartphone
How can I enhance the sound? I have checked, everything in the settings?
Apart from the GPS giving inaccurate results and no sound through the speaker a rather odd problem has raised it's head.
When I download an app from Google Store or use one of the built in apps and I start to use the app apart from no sound the phone will switch off and restart, however if I plug in the headphones the app will work fine and with sound through the headphones ! except GPS apps.

I recently realized my Nokia lumia 900 can no longer ring,play music, or make any sound what so ever. I tried playing with some head phones and pulling them in and out pausing and unpausing while music was playing which I read in a forum can fix this problem.no luck..i realized there was a small piece of paper/lint in the headphone jack and pulled it out with a toothpick.this is driving me crazy.. Next thing I will try is doing a factory reset...anyone have any ideas or experience with this ?
