I have just become the second owner of a Samsung S5, really good condition cosmetically however I there is no sound coming from the speaker. I have reset it twice and still no luck.
View 4 RepliesWhenever I play music through my phone, with or without headphones, there is a sporadic noise that sounds similar to a record skipping, but more distorted. It is not the two tone beep others have posted about, nor is it the usual problem with headphones. The sound occurs in multiple audio apps. The default music player worked fine up until about a week ago (maybe two?), then the noise started. At first, a secondary app worked fine, but today that started making the noise as well. Force quitting the default app worked for a while, stopping the noise when I started the app back up, but now it goes back to the noise almost immediately. What this noise is or how to stop it permanently?

View 17 Replies View RelatedNever noticed this before so im not sure if its normal, but noticed today when i for example shut off a video or i activate the speaker with any other sound, the speaker stays on for 1-2 secs making sort of a hissing sound followed by a small click. Its not a very loud hissing sound. Just wanna make sure its normal and not a faulty speaker.

Did hard reset, soft reset, several times, and still no sound. I have a replacement on order, but they won't have it to me for another week or more! a week ago i got an mms whith a sound, ever since then whenever i put the phone down after making. receiving a call or miss call this sound that was in the mms plays! i deleted the mms but it still plays. today i noticed when i go into the media files and open / close the video camera or vocie notes recorder then it also plays.
how can i remove or deactivate this sound?
recently i noticed that the sound is not comming from my i phone 4s so i needed to restore it as it was earlier. So i decided to do it by restoring it without itunes. Now it is taking too long to restore it, it is still going on since 3 hours .

I have the iPhone 4s and have been having trouble with the audio. So far I have't had a problem with siri, income calls or my alarm but I am not getting any audio for anything else (ex music, netflix, youtube, etc) I have tried all of the suggestions I could find but so far nothing has worked.Â

I have been using nokia e7 for nearly a year now until two days before it suddenly went wrong. There is no sound at all from the speaker no matter I received calls or sms. I recently purchased an HTC M9+ for my dad. This is the first HTC device in my family. The device looks good, in terms of design, premium material and overall look and feel. Its just one day, therefore too early to give feedback, although the camera and its features are amazing.
The only issue that I am facing is its boom sound speakers. The sound is very low. HTC M8 & 9 and famous for its boom sound dual speakers, therefore I presume, it should be loud. But in this case the speaker sound its crap. Whether I set mp3 as a ringtone, play mp3 in the music player or play youtube. Its not even closer to my Lumia 930 and my mom's Galaxy S6 edge's mono speakers. I expect these stereo speakers to complete outperform the mono speaker of Lumia and Galaxy smartphone
How can I enhance the sound? I have checked, everything in the settings?
Apart from the GPS giving inaccurate results and no sound through the speaker a rather odd problem has raised it's head.
When I download an app from Google Store or use one of the built in apps and I start to use the app apart from no sound the phone will switch off and restart, however if I plug in the headphones the app will work fine and with sound through the headphones ! except GPS apps.
How about the in-call volume and speaker volume in coming update 2.3?
