Jun 20, 2012My iPhone 4 internal speaker isn't working. It worked just fine around 2-3 in the morning then 16-17 hours later, I can't hear anything when people call or I call them, even when I check my voicemail. Only way I can hear is if I put it on speaker or use headphones. I've tried cleaning out the headphone jack and have gotten no luck.

BB Bold 9000 :: Internal Speaker Not Working At All?
Jun 7, 2010I just put made my first call with the BB. The speakerphone works fine, but the smaller speaker that goes against the ear doesn't work. It does work on my wife's 9000 (bought at the same time from the same place). I've tried the increasing the volume button on the side. My profile is set to normal. I've tried going into the phone application and making sure mute was off, and default volume set to 75%.It does work normally when I put headphones in during a call.Any suggestions, or is it defective?

Jul 21, 2012i cant hear incoming calls or any sound from my phones internal speaker which we usually use to hear calls where as if i switch to the external speaker or plug in the headphones than i can hear it. i dont dknow whats the problem and am really worried please help. i showed the phone to a repair shop as well they checked the speaker and its perfectly fine everything else is working fine i have done the factory reset and tried to fix the problem thorugh software update as well but problem still persisits

I can use the loudspeaker or handsfree kit but the internal speaker has stopped working. Could it be a software issue or is it likely to be a hardware one?

Feb 14, 2010I'll tell you there is no water damage or dropping of this phone. Its been workin like a champ up until tonight.. received a call and i couldn't hear anything, speakerphone works as normal, but the ear speaker does not. Anyone care to shed some light on how this could randomly happen w/o dropping or water damage?? Looks like i've got to change the whole midplate now.. which makes me extremely unhappy.

May 15, 2015I can play the files through the file manager but not the google play or the default music player. I have even downloaded third party music players with no luck. I tried moving the files around to the default music folder, and even the folder with the samsung song that came with the phone. No luck.
My last phone (nexus 4) recognized the files instantly, even found the album art and organized all of them no matter where the files were located. I really don't understand what the problem is, I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade.
Would putting the files on a micro SD card work at all?

Apr 7, 2012I was only hearing music played out of the left channel, either with or without headphones and also when played through a dock. Go to Settings : General : Accessibility and slide the L - R slider to the middle. Now the music plays out of both the L and the R speakers. (If you tap the mono button there, then you will also hear sound out of both speakers, but you won't hear stereo effects, so don't do that).

May 19, 2012My iPhone 4s has ceased playing music via the speaker, though the ringer and speakerphone still work, as do the headphones. When I attempt to play music, I am given the choice of the Dock Connector (which is selected) or the AirPort Express we use to relay our wi-fi signal from another part of the house. I first noticed the problem trying to play a potty training app for my child - we could see the video but couldn't hear the sounds or songs.

Apr 12, 2012Recently my Iphone 3GS is having problem when playing music. There is no sound from the built-in speaker. However when making/receving calls the sound from the speaker is fine. I noticed that when I press the volume up/down button, there is no volume level indicator position on the screen, the circular button is missing (attached is the screenshot of the situation). However when a headset speaker is plugges in, the volume indicator level appears fine.
I had try restoring the iphone as a new iphone using my mac (from itunes) but the situation persist.

Mar 12, 2012After about 90 minutes straight of playing spoken-word podcasts and music from my internal iPhone 4S speakers at top volume, the music now crackles when played at top volume. This change happened mid-song, when the unit was just sitting untouched on a counter. At first top volume was not as loud as it was previously, but the unit seems to have regained the functionality. I've reset the unit twice. Any idea what happened and—more importantly—how I can fix it?
