I was only hearing music played out of the left channel, either with or without headphones and also when played through a dock. Go to Settings : General : Accessibility and slide the L - R slider to the middle. Now the music plays out of both the L and the R speakers. (If you tap the mono button there, then you will also hear sound out of both speakers, but you won't hear stereo effects, so don't do that).
I can not get the sound to come through my speakers in the car with the aux cord. The cord works fine for a mp3 player, but the sound just plays through the phone speakers on the torch. I have tried to find where I can switch it on the phone, but have not yet found that option.
My iphone 4s has been updated to the iOS 5.1.1. Since then it will not play music or give a text message alert sound. We have restored the phone, we have toggled the mute switch, and we have rebooted using the home button and power down and nothing has worked. The volume does not adjust, there is no sound bar when pressing the sound control buttons along the side of the phone. When double tapping the home button on lock screen there is no sound bar. It will ring on incoming calls and the Speaker phone does work while in call. All of the volume controls will work correctly when the headphones are in music plays, text tone works, video sound works but as soon as they are removed it reverts back.
I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat). Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker. So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.
iphone 4s won't play music or video audio thru speaker in phone.¬ Headset works, siri works, speaker mode works during calls with access to volume control.¬ Without headset,¬ no audio or audio control.
I can't hear my messages well when I play them back on Speaker Mode. I covered the right speaker as a test, and could hardly hear anything from the left speaker. When I covered the left speaker, the right one was pretty loud. Is that normal?
My iPhone 6 Plus is less than a 2 weeks old but since day one its speaker sounds distorted.¬ ¬ The ringer or alerts or even the new email alert have a popping or clangy sound to them.¬ Is this a software issue or hardware?¬ My phone is uptodate and Ive tried hard reboots to try to alleviate the problem but it didn't fix the problem.¬ Should I try to restore it?¬
Without a headphone jack inserted, or plugged into a speaker using the port my iPhone 5 16gb will not play any audio or video. It just freezes the phone when you try to play something for about 5-20 seconds and then does nothing.¬
If a pair of headphones are plugged in then everything works perfectly. Same is true through the charging connector. My ringer is also currently not producing any sound.¬
This has been tested on the following apps and is the same on all:¬
- Facebook App
- BBC iPlayer
- Absolute Radio App¬
I have tried a a setting reset and a full restore. It does not matter whether I am on 3g, 4g or Wifi. I have had the phone about 5 months. It was a replacement from from my insurance company.¬
My iPhone 4s has ceased playing music via the speaker, though the ringer and speakerphone still work, as do the headphones. When I attempt to play music, I am given the choice of the Dock Connector (which is selected) or the AirPort Express we use to relay our wi-fi signal from another part of the house. I first noticed the problem trying to play a potty training app for my child - we could see the video but couldn't hear the sounds or songs.
Recently my Iphone 3GS is having problem when playing music. There is no sound from the built-in speaker. However when making/receving calls the sound from the speaker is fine. I noticed that when I press the volume up/down button, there is no volume level indicator position on the screen, the circular button is missing (attached is the screenshot of the situation). However when a headset speaker is plugges in, the volume indicator level appears fine.
I had try restoring the iphone as a new iphone using my mac (from itunes) but the situation persist.
I am having sound problem with my Xperia Play. when I make or receive calls the ear speaker does not work, when I switch to hands free speaker I can hear the other person perfectly, I reset the phone but the fault still persists.
After about 90 minutes straight of playing spoken-word podcasts and music from my internal iPhone 4S speakers at top volume, the music now crackles when played at top volume. This change happened mid-song, when the unit was just sitting untouched on a counter. At first top volume was not as loud as it was previously, but the unit seems to have regained the functionality. I've reset the unit twice. Any idea what happened and‚ÄĒmore importantly‚ÄĒhow I can fix it?
My Iphone's speaker doesn't work, it means that there is no ringtone when someone call me, and there is no sound when I play the music. I turn off the mute botton, so there should be sound. How to deal with this?
I have an iHome Bluetooth speaker and I also have a new Bluetooth surround home theater. Now, I know it is a bit of a stretch asking if I can connect both Bluetooth. I would like to know if it is possible to use the headphones jack without muting it, so that I can connect it to my Bluetooth as well.
I was on the shower and a bit of water hit my iphone 4s specifically on the ear speaker, though it is still working ear speaker is not and cannot play music/ videos using the speaker, but I can use the speaker when talking to someone on the other line, its either that or I use and earphones. What do I need to do?
