So I have a 4s running 7.1.1Â suddenly all audio whether speaker or not on regular phone calls does not work.Â
Facetime, music, audio recording and playback all work. Tried reinserting the sim card and did a full restore and no luck.Â
My Iphone's speaker doesn't work, it means that there is no ringtone when someone call me, and there is no sound when I play the music. I turn off the mute botton, so there should be sound. How to deal with this?

What do I need to do?

I installed the application pro version (mod Note :unapproved app store removed) for my Samsung s6 edge and removed the lite version and thought that i could sync from dropbox or google drive but it never synced from those applications and I have tried for a very long time to find all my important recorded calls that i never received back in many different ways.

All application sounds and notification sounds will not work through the iphone speaker.When a speaker or headphone is plugged in, all of the sounds will work.

Phone was 18months old. Intermittent problem from 1 yr. Able to make/receive calls but other person not able to hear me. However voice recorder still working so not sure what's causing problem. Genius bar unable to help but person next to me with same age phone had identical problem. Tried all suggestions on message boards with no sucess.

This afternoon my speaker on my phone stopped working. I can not hear it ringing when someone call, but if I see someone calling and I answer the call they can hear me and I can hear them fine. I also can't not put the caller on speaker at all , I also can't hear my music or gaming apps. When I turn my phone on or off it does not make a sound as well. I have turned the phone off and turned it off by pressing the top button and home button at the same time and that did not work. I checked the volume and the mute button and the volume is up all the way.

My carrier says that one speaker is for music and the other is for speaker phone. But not true. I still only hear from one speaker.

The sound on my iphone wont work with text messages and music but works with calls and headphones. Didn't do anything to it was just sitting there and it happened so i dont think a setting changed. and the volume bar wont show up when i press side buttons or in the music?

Ive seen people complain about speaker phone automatically being on when they answer the phone. However my problem is sort of the opposite. When I am on a call and using speakerphone is randomly shuts off. I dont realize it until its the other persons turn to talk and I can hardly hear them.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am posting on my friend's behalf as she is having phone troubles that started yesterday out of nowhere. During the day she was making / receiving phone calls fine and noticed no problems with her phone. However in the evening she took a call and couldn't hear anything until she turned on speaker phone. Since then we have not been able to get any phone calls to come out of the normal earpiece, just from the speaker. It almost seems as though it is a weird setting or something as the phone seems to be aware of the problem. Whenever she answers a call now it is immediately set to speaker phone when she hits the button to accept the call. If we then turn off speaker we can no longer hear the caller. I looked through all the settings and can't find anything. She assures me she never dropped the phone between the last normal call and the first time she had the problem.

Usually when I watch YouTube videos or play music through the music app its more than normal loud. But now ever since my Bluetooth device connected to my droid turbo (Bluetooth has been turned off to watch videos) the speaker isn't loud at all. However, I cannot hear any sound coming out of the earpiece or speakerphone and the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me and the iPhone shows that we are connected. I use apps like Skype and Viber and I am able to make and receive phone calls fine. I can hear the caller and they can hear me. I restarted my iphone, I did a hard reset. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just recently used the Voice recorder on my 5800 XpressMusic (FW 31.0.101) phone & I've notice something weird. If you select Options > Settings > Choose memory location > recording Quality > High
Then record something, then select 'Options' > 'Go To Gallery'
No mp4 files (the format 'high' is recorded in) are shown. Yet it's fine if you set Recording quality to 'Standard' (WAV) or ' MMS compatible' (AMR).
I'm still waiting to get my iPhone 4 in the mail. In the mean time I had a couple questions about facetime someone can hopefully help me out with. since facetime is supposed to be wifi only (for now) is it possible to start and execute a facetime call without a data plan (or with cellular data turned off)? I would assume so. What about starting a facetime call without ANY minutes or without a SIM card? If it's over wifi, do you even need minutes or a phone number? I would love to basically use facetime as you would use skype or ichat. I don't want to give my phone number away or need someones phone number to facetime. I just want to videochat over wifi. Also, I heard something about needing a text messaging plan in order to start a facetime call or an international facetime call, is this true? What about international facetime calls? Let's say I'm in the states and want to facetime with someone in London, do I need to have international calls enabled to face time or will absolutely ZERO (0) minutes be used if i directly start the call as a facetime call?
