View 5 RepliesTurn off the Google app TalkBack, the icon is a big HAND orange and white colors. This app is causing an echo when you use your Galaxy S5. Problem was, you can't hear the echo yourself, but the person you talk to will complain about an echo. I would get the echo when I went to speakerphone, but other owners may have this issue on regular speaker too, I don't know, but just turn off the TalkBack app, it's interfering.

After 8.1 update, when listening to music via wired headphones, inbound text announcement will notify me, spoken response of ignore will result in audio resuming on headphones AND back speaker concurrently.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently realized my Nokia lumia 900 can no longer ring, play music, or make any sound what so ever. I tried playing with some head phones and pulling them in and out pausing and unpausing while music was playing which I read in a forum can fix this problem.no luck..i realized there was a small piece of paper/lint in the headphone jack and pulled it out with a toothpick.this is driving me crazy.. Next thing I will try is doing a factory reset...anyone have any ideas or experience with this ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nokia Lumia 920 three weeks and I am not disappointed. So far, other than problems that will be corrected in the next update, I am experiencing a low volume, when talking with someone in the loud speaker. Even at 30/30, I have to become closer to the phone to ear what the other person is saying. The problem seems to be related to the calls in the using the loudspeaker only because when listening to music or videos the loudspeaker volume seems to be ok.
View 4 Replies View RelatedTrying to call using my Lumia 800 today and I can't hear or be heard by anyone I call. Loudspeaker works, and so do my headphones. But my mic doesnt work at all. It's pretty much brand new (my dad used it for a few days but didnt like the QWERTY keyboard for texting) and i remember getting a phone call a day or two ago and it was fine.Anyone have any tips or tricks i can try before i send it off for a repair?I'll be phoneless until its fixed because non of my spare phones take micro sims.. and my past experience with sending phones for repairs involved long waits to get them back..
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so my phone is **bleep**ing up. It happened earlier when I noticed that I got a call and I could not hear anything or speak. However when I turned the speaker phone I could hear everything but Im not sure if the other person could hear me because the call ended. Now no sound comes out of my phone speaker. EXCPET FOR THE TEXT NOTIFICATION. That still goes off and sounds perfectly. So the speakers cant be broken. Also I used the voice commands and it said it could not hear anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a white Z5 Compact for a week and have now noticed that the bottom speaker is much louder than the top, ruining the stereo effect. I am sure it did not come this way out of the box. I didn't notice until after the recent firmware update (32.0.A.6.152), but cannot know whether this is the cause of the problem. I went through the hassle of factory reset and the phone still has the problem. I haven't subjected the phone to any physical trauma at all and will be returning it.

My one month old xperia has a problem, sound volume of bottom speaker is much lower then speaker on the top. Actually i don't remember if it was like that always or happened during my usage. It's so quiet that I need to apply it close to the ear to hear it as much as top speaker.

I can only periodically make calls normally by placing call and then putting phone up to my head and listening to phone ring, and person answer. For whatever reason then the phone will behave erattically. It will only let me make a call using speakerphone.I cannot put phone up to my head and listen through earpiece, and the phone doesn't black out when putting up to my head.I guess the proximity sensor doesn't work or is buggy. Also, sometimes when I double tap on the Home button/key to start voice dialing I should be able to hear the phone ask me what I want to do, but I can't hear anything but I can see on the screen that It is asking me a question - but can't hear anything as I normally should. Then, a few hours later it all works beautifully.I have rebooted the phone, taken out the battery and put it back in, hard reset the phone.I even have just now taken my screen protector off and the phone worked for a few calls as it normally should - i put phone up to my ear and screen blacked out and I could hear other person on earpiece. Then about an hour later none of that worked.I could only use the speaker phone.the phone didn't black out when making a call and putting phone up to my ear, and the double tap home button/key invoked the voice dial interface but i couldn't hear the voice/phone prompt like normal. and confirmation of my commands
The level 2 tech support at moto didn't help with any more troubleshooting than what I have already done.Which is: restart phone...reset phone to factory settings (hard reset) wipe all data off phone...taken off screen protector...none of this worked and produced consistent results to say that any of these procedures produced a positive change in the phone.I am within my 30 day trial period of this phone purchased from Motorola.
I bought bold 9790 four months back during June'12. When i make a call, handset speaker is not working and i am not able to listen to the caller when it is in handset mode. When i opt for speaker mode, i can listen to the caller. Is there any option which would've got changed by mistake OR is it speaker related problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAs of 3pm today my ear speaker stopped working but only when I make a call. I can still hear my music and sounds and ringtones but when I connect to a call it doesn't work at all.
I have tried the windex/alcohol method, tried the plugging in and unplugging ear buds, tried the turning on and off the speaker phone and still nothing works. I also tried a hard reset and still have the same problem. The only thing I haven't tried is a full blown retsore and was hoping to get an answer here before trying to restore the device. I have an iPhone 3Gs. Anyone here have any tips or thoughts as to why this stops working on calls only and works fine on everything else?
I can hear the keypad when dialing but as soon as I hit "Call" the speaker just stops working.
is there seriously no way to control the speaker volume during calls that i dont want the entire world to hear?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from an S3 to an S5 a few days ago and I'm loving it so far. One thing that's bugging me though is that whenever I'm using my phone as an actual phone (Who actually makes phone calls anymore, right?!) there is an annoying buzzing/rattling/almost kind of like distortion) when the person is talking to me. It usually goes away if I turn the volume almost all the way down, but this is obviously not a practical option since I'm not always making phone calls in a dead silent room.
The speaker phone works fine. This only happens when I'm using the earpiece. Is this normal? Is it related to the camera autofocus sensor rattle? Are the sound vibrations from a person's voice enough to set off the rattle? It's really annoying as I tend to make phone calls a lot and I don't like using speaker phone or a headset. This was never an issue on my S3.
