I have a 7230 slide phone - does anybody know why I tend to get an echo on calls so whilst I am trying to hear the person on the other end, I can also hear what I have just said, so very annoying
During ALL calls people complain to me that they hear their voice echoing all the time. This problem remains whatever I have tried to do (activate/deactivate the Voice Clarity option, with/without handsfree).
Has anyone had this issue with their torch yet? do i actually need a refurb already! getting echo voice when on calls. listening is amazing but i can hear my voice buzz rather annoying.
I thought i set things up right in making my Gmail account the primary one that my BB uses to send/receive mail. On the main menu there is the icon of the mail folder, and the similar looking one with the small Globe next to it. Both folders appear to receive identical messaging. On my prior Sanyo handset with Sprint, I just used a standalone Gmail-Mobile app. and didn't do any 'push' type configuration...which would be fine for me with the BB. Is there some reason that there are essentially 'two mail folders' or can i eliminate that situation? Also, I use this gmail account as a sort of catch-all for my business's domain email address - i simply have that one set to Forward to Gmail. So, if I send from my 'regular (mail@domain.com) i will typically get a reply to both my regular DN email box, as well as a forwarded one to the Gmail inbox.... However, since assiging Gmail to my BB, i've found that i get random bouncebacks on my email clients on my office and studio computers when i send to certain recipients whom i routinely send stuff to. I can't help thinking it's something to do with the BB.It seemed more prevalent when i was using the Gmail Mobile app on the BB, so i stopped using that- and now just get the Gmail on the BB as my mail account. how to clean this up and is there any known issue about using Gmail Mobile app. - Like, if i wanted to deactivate it as my BB mail account, shouldn't i be able to just use the standalone app. for my email access or...am i missing something?
I just got my photon yesterday night and when talking to others it sound like the phone is hollow and my voice is echoing back through the shell of the phone. I noticed this also after i check the store floor model and seem's the same issue(both were defective?). Callers on other end hear me fine, so it's not there phone or the service.
I am facing a serious problem with call quality with my Sony Xperia Z5 Dual. Specifically, when making GSM calls the other side complain about echo, which remains during the entire duration of the call. This doesn't happen when I use headphones or make calls through Skype or Viber. FYI, removing one of the two sim cards does not solve the problem.
I am not sure if this is a hardware or a software issue.
Lately I've been getting an echo on my phone. This is with incoming calls only. The echo is my voice and I can hear it quite well. Fido thinks it is the phone or possibly the Sim card.
Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5, Factory Unlocked, Non Jailbroken
In some of the tutorials regarding N900, they show this Bounce evolution game. I have recently bought a N900; can someone tell me how to get the Bounce evolution game?

Have a really bad echo every time someone calls me. I can't hear it at all but whoever calls says the echo is very bad on their side. I've tried taking off the cover and that doesn't work.
ive had two people tell me that they were hearing an echo/repeat of what they were saying on their end of the phone, and i heard it once on my end. Not sure whats going on here, but what can i do to resolve this issue. I need a phone that is reliable and not causing people to hang up/get frustrated because its echoing on them and making it hard for them to understand me.
I have a brand new Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, when I make/receive calls, the person at the other end has an echo from my phone. THIS is not the case using a bluetooth device to make the calls with. What to do ?

I've bought nokia 7230 slide with 3G. I have activated GPRS connection. The integrated browser is working. But other applications are not able to connect to net. Not even the opera browser. I've tried everyhting. I tried to switch on the cookies and disable security notifications. But they r not working.Currently I'm having BSNL connection.Even i can connect the phone to computer and use it as modem to connect the net. It is also working there. In the opera mini case it says check ur internet settings. I downloaded a new version of opera even it doesn't work it says "the product is not from an authorised supplier. Allow the connection."
I recently bought the Nokia 7230 unlocked in Germany because it really appealed to me in terms of features and the right price. When I returned home to the US and dropped in my AT&T SIM card, everything works okay except for any packet data or internet connection. Whenever I try to access any sort of data connection, it shows "Subscribe to Packet data". I have an unlimited Data plan with AT&T which allows internet access. Now, I wasn't expecting a perfectly smooth transition bringing a Europe-market phone to the US where the 7230 isn't even sold. After a 3-way phone call with AT&T and Nokia USA, they felt that because I could not edit or add Access point settings and AT&T doesn't sell the 7230, there was no way to make the packet data connection work.Does that conclusion sound right? It's not a huge setback to lose internet but I was looking forward to the upgrade in internet capabilities from my previous 6350.
I've just purchased a 7230 on the Vodafone network here in Ireland. The Right Selection key is set to go to Vodafone Live - which I don't want but I can't seem to change the option. I have done the usual menu>settings>my shortcuts but only the left selection key, navigation key and home screen key come up as options to change. Is this a model issue or a network provider software issue?
Several days ago I bought this mobile phone. I made photo and attached it to some contact. I expected to see this photo when the person will call me or vice versa. This photo is displayed during call BUT it is in very small size, in micro size . There is no sense to to attach photos to contacts if it is not possible to understand who is on the photo.Probably I am wrong. May be I need to setup something.Did sombody have same expirience? Could you please help me with this issue?
Why will my 7230 only accept names in the contacts with 10 characters or less? I have seen screen shots of the 7230 in phone review websites that show contacts with more than 10 characters. Also will not allow me to use small fonts in Contacts.
my wife has nokia 7230 and can receive photos via text,i have same phone but cannot receive photos by text can anyone help please. It just gives me a web address to view on my pc.
I have a lumia 900. Is there a way to send certain calls right to voicemail? I use my cell phone for my business and I get telemarketing calls on occasion (Business phones are exempt from DNC). It's nice to send future calls right to voicemail. My android phone used to have this feature and I have tried with Nokia to no avail.
I have had a Nokia 7230 for about 3 months or so. In the last few weeks 2 hairline cracks have appeared in the top right hand corner of the top half of the phone. In the corner where the light illuminates to inform you of a call or sms. There are also another 3 cracks forming in other parts of the same casing. The phone is well looked after and has not been dropped or knocked. I have spoken to O2 who I bought the phone off but they have advised that their technicians will view it as physical damage and just return it. I was also told that this is not common at all. It appears that the thin silver coloured band on the top part of the phone has a weakness.
I want to install the "fring" application on my Nokia 7230. Unfortunately, this handset is not listed in thier site at http://www.fring.com/download/default_PC.asp
I've tried to download from the link obtained by signing up in their site. The name of this set isn't there either. I've downloaded all the files, one by one, listed there corresponding to various nokia model and when I tried to install, I got the error message "File format not supported".Is there any compatible handsets available so that I can download the softwares listed for it?
The same is the case when I tried to download the "SBI freedom" software for mobile banking. (http://mobile.prepaidsbi.com/sbidownloader/downloadapp.jsp#none). I've even tried their GENERIC VERSION with no luck.
