I just got my photon yesterday night and when talking to others it sound like the phone is hollow and my voice is echoing back through the shell of the phone. I noticed this also after i check the store floor model and seem's the same issue(both were defective?). Callers on other end hear me fine, so it's not there phone or the service.
View 4 RepliesI bought my photon in July 2011. when I make calls I have repeated problems with people hearing me. They say my voice fades in and out or sounds like I am in an echo chamber. It doesn't matter where I am at, home, office, on the road. It happens to everyone. It started with my first photon. I was told an upgrade was coming to fix it. Upgrade provided no fix. Phone got run over (don't try this, it ain't that tough), new photon arrived, right out of the box, same problem. Sprint gave me another photon. As I drove out of the Sprint parking lot making my first call, same problem. If I plug my ear buds in, the problem immediatly goes away. Neither Sprint or Motorola have any answers. Does anyone have similar problem? Any fixes? I do not believe it is the phone but I have no ideas.

View 10 Replies View Related1st major one is occasionally I cannot hear the callers but they can hear me, second the web browser has heavy delays when loading a page. For example the page will load 25-50%(according to the status bar) and then freeze and then fully load in one burst. I am updated to the latest software 45.2.7. MB855.Sprint.en.US I also remove my battery almost daily and restart my phone daily.

During ALL calls people complain to me that they hear their voice echoing all the time. This problem remains whatever I have tried to do (activate/deactivate the Voice Clarity option, with/without handsfree).
I have an issue where everyone I phone from my Z5 Compact complains of a voice echo.
I know this issue existed on previous Xperia phones but can't find any mention of it online in relation to the Z5.
I cannot here voicemail no matter what I do. Phone volume is at max, I tried to use the speakerphone etc. There is a very faint recording volume that you can hear if it is absolutely quite and you listed to it 2-3 times. Phone is at the latest update. Is there any way to adjust the volume?

I am not able to hear the voice of caller. But the caller was able to hear properly without any issues.However, When I try to call any customer care phones, I am able to hear the automated voice too.It does not to make sense to me why I am not able to hear the callers' voice (only if it is humans).

It can't even recognize me saying "yes".My previous phones were a WinMo Treo Pro, preceded by a Palm OS Treo 750. Both had decent voice recognition. I was actually impressed with the WinMo recognition quality, although the functionality was limited.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem on and off since getting my Photon, but now I can't seem to fix it after power recycles, battery pulls, and uninstalling new apps.
When I press the microphone key on the keyboard to use voice dictation, all I see is the microphone with a red line through it and a message above that saying "Voice Initializing" and it just hangs there. I've let it do that as long as five minutes, but with no success. I can still use the Google voice search bar and the voice commands app, just can't do voice from the keyboard.
I have an issue with the Photon when it is in the car dock and I am listening to streaming audio such as Slacker or Pandora. If I use my Bluetooth headset and press the button on the headset for the voice commands, the Photon sends a very garbled voice control prompt to the headset. The prompt that says "Please wait. Please say a command" comes across extremely garbled. This does not occur if I am not streaming audio, nor does it occur over the regular phone speaker.

If you are in the middle of sending a text message and using the voice input and talking to the voice input when a call comes in, the voice input is abandoned, the "answer/ignore" screen shows for a second. But before you can answer, the keyboard comes back up and covers it up, so you can't answer the call. And then the keyboard is stuck on the screen. "back" doesn't make it go away (so you still can't answer the call). Even if you go to the home screen, the keyboard is still on the screen. Stock phone, not rooted, all updates applied, etc.

i just bought a motorola defy plus upgraded it to android 2.3.6 and i have a real problem here.... when i call a friend or anyone else i can hear my voice repeated after just like an echo (feals like im talking in a tunnel) however this only occurs with gsm calls through the handset if im using the hand free there is no echo also if im doing an internet call through skype or viber i dont hear this echo

Ringtones work and other sounds on the phone work fine but I have the feeling it might be the internal speaker. =/ I have found that I can put a person on speaker phone and I can hear them but when I take it off I can't!

The issue started about a month ago and gradually occured more often, and now it's basically happening every time I place or take a call: I can hear the person at the end of the line, but they can't hear me when I talk. Also, perhaps that's not related, whenever I plug it in my dock to listen to music, there's no sound coming out - I tested the dock with an older iPod I have lying around and it worked just fine. I first thought it was some interference issue and tested from various places, to no avail. It's basically useless as a phone.. Since it's out of warranty (it's a little over 2 years old), I wonder whether I can even get it fixed without paying about the same amount of money I would need to shell for an iPhone 4.

Recently bought a X3-02 with firmware version 5.65. All of a sudden I cannot hear anything on the handset during the call.Loudspeaker and headset works fine.The headset icon also does not appear on the phone. Tried resetting to factory settings as well but did not work.

When I make a call, the person on the other end answers and I can hear them but they can't hear me. This also happens occasionally when someone calls me. I can hear them but they can't hear me. I have good reception, 4 or 5 bars. I haven't accidentally hit the mute button with my cheek. I try turning the mute button on and off with no results. I have shut the phone off for a while and then started it up and there is no improvement.
Today I was probably able ot only talk to 60% of the people that I tried dialing. There is one person in particular that I have to call multiple times per day for business and this happens 95% of the time with her. I depend on being able to use the phone; I'm in the life safety business. As far as I can tell, everything else works, other apps work just fine. I can text and email, surf the net, etc. I have an iPhone 4 version 6.0.1 (software?). It doesn't seem to matter if I am on a 3G or E network. The problem persists. No, I don't want to update the iOS, the GUI is butt ugly (Steve would be turning over in his grave if he saw this iOS) and everyone that I know that has an iPhone 4 and has done the 'upgrade' has had problems with slow operation and battery suck.Â
