My one month old xperia has a problem, sound volume of bottom speaker is much lower then speaker on the top. Actually i don't remember if it was like that always or happened during my usage. It's so quiet that I need to apply it close to the ear to hear it as much as top speaker.

But in the night when i was playing songs.. The bottom speaker suddenly just started sounding cracky. Too cracky. Cant even listen to songs at half of the volume. Even notification ringtones are sounding cracky..
Since I got my Z2 earlier this year I haven't been overly impressed with the speak phone cababilities of the phone.
For a couple of months now I have noticed the bottom speaker is noticeably louder than the top one. At first I thought this may be normal but now I don't think it is.
It seems that after one of the updates, the max speaker phone volume is much lower than before. I liked being able to turn it up, especially in the car dock.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a white Z5 Compact for a week and have now noticed that the bottom speaker is much louder than the top, ruining the stereo effect. I am sure it did not come this way out of the box. I didn't notice until after the recent firmware update (32.0.A.6.152), but cannot know whether this is the cause of the problem. I went through the hassle of factory reset and the phone still has the problem. I haven't subjected the phone to any physical trauma at all and will be returning it.

I received my Nexus 6 from Amazon. It seems as though the top speaker is considerably louder than the bottom. When I flip the phone upside down, it is still the top speaker that is louder.
When I turn the phone to landscape mode, it is the right speaker that it louder. I flip the orientation to where the former right speaker is now the left and vice versa. It's the same problem where the right speaker (the former left speaker) is still louder.
I have no sound coming out of my iphone 4s at all!

So the other day my phone (Xperia Z3) was working perfectly fine. I was able to hear people on phone calls and noise came from that speaker. The next day, the speaker was completely silent when i tried to talk to someone and the only way i could do this was by having speaker phone enabled so it would come out of the other speaker. Now i don't know about you, but it's a bit awkward out in public.
Firstly, i have had my screen replaced before, by a third party repairer who i have been to for all other phones, and when i got it back, the ear speaker was distorted if on the maximum volume when listening to music or watching videos, so i never have it on full volume. Unfortunately, because i went to a third party repairer, Vodafone will now have to charge me for the repairs so i want to try as many things as possible before i have to fork out a bunch of money to get it repaired.
I just received my Z5 and noticed that my top speaker is about twice as loud as my bottom speaker. It's ruining the 'stereo' effect of the phone, as when listening to media one speaker is overpowering the other.I'm assuming this could easily be fixed with a software update ...

Last weekend I installed the "Stutter Fix" and it solved a few problems I had and I love it! The problem now though is that when the phone rings or a notification comes (SMS, email etc), if I have the headset plugged in, no sound comes out of the phone's speaker. It only comes out of the headset and that wasnt the case before. When the headset is not pluged in the speaker works fine, so there is no harware issue or anything like that. I have the headset pluged in 90% of the time so I really need this feature. I looked at the settings and such but I didnt find anything that could change that and put it back as it was. I dont want to flash a new ROM again.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI know that this issue was reported before, but I need to inform that it is not solved (or we are dealing with a regression bug): [URL] .... use Xperia Z2 (D6543) and sometimes when I answer a call, it goes straight to loudspeaker.
This problem does not happens often (so it is a pain to reproduce it), but is seems to happen when I receive a call while the phone is in standby for a long period (about 4 hours).
When that happens, the loudspeaker button does not display as selected, so to disable it I need to double hit the button to change the audio output (the first hit re-enables it, and the second disables it).
Currently, I am using Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and Google Chrome 42.0.2311.111. I did not try to disable Chrome yet, but I am afraid this is not an option for me. Instead of this, I would be glad if this issue became addressed by Sony developers again.
My speaker seems very quiet compared to my wife's phone which is exactly the same. Iv done the YouTube tutorials but no luck there. Other than swapping it with her in doors, is there something I'm missing.

I tried the speaker test using "Home Back Back Home Back Home Home Back", but looks like the speaker is dead. There is absolutely no sound. I stay at Mysore and need to get this repaired at the service center.
