Im just wondering, if the upper and lower speaker of Z3 should be equal in sound. The upper speaker is more powerful than the lower speaker (with or without sound enhancement)
View 3 RepliesMy one month old xperia has a problem, sound volume of bottom speaker is much lower then speaker on the top. Actually i don't remember if it was like that always or happened during my usage. It's so quiet that I need to apply it close to the ear to hear it as much as top speaker.

After unlocking the phone from stand-by the brightness is noticeable lower than the one I set, without adaptive brightness on, and after a short period of time, usually under 30 sec, the brightness goes up to the level I set it, and stays like that as long as the display is on. This problem repeats randomly, but very often, maybe 80% of the cases. The difference in display brightness when this happens is probably 10% - 15% and is very annoying. I already did a factory reset and a fresh install via PC Companion with no results. The phone is 2 months old, no major software update until now so I can't tell if it's a software or hardware problem.

Speakers are working fine, i can hear reminders, alarms, listen to music. the only thing when i recieve phone calls they are always on mute mode. although if my speaker are on i can hear it from the head set. how to repair it. i took the device to Axiom but instead of repairing it they offer me to pay half of the price of a new device and get another one!

I have a dumb question.i just got home with my new storm 9520.when i play a music i hear sound from only 1 speaker of phone that is under the phone. ( the place from we speak while on call)is it suppose to be this way?.i thought there must be 2 speakers for sterio sound one on top from where we hear a call and one at bottom from where we speak on call.

The speaker phone has a LOUD hissing sound whenever I dial out. By "speaker phone", I mean that when I dial a phone number, I click on the "Speaker" button in the dial pad to have a hands free phone call. This is an essential feature for me as I have phone conference meetings where I need to be using the computer and thus need my hands free.
The hissing sound is consistent and remains there for the entire call. When someone speaks it is reduced but when silence comes back, the hissing takes over
In two years of using the 920, I NEVER had an issue with the speaker phone in thousands of conversations, even after I upgraded to Cyan.
However, from day one, the 1520 speaker phone has a background hissing sound. Even with a 4 or 5 bar LTE connection (I live in DFW). Lowering the speaker volume to 5 (from 10), lowers the hissing sound but does not eliminate it.
As there are no audio controls (other than the Equalizer)...
I can't really seem to find the actual term, but the case is every time I unlock my phone the speakers seem to turn on for a moment, then shut down again, the problem is I always have the phone on vibrate, nevertheless this sound keeps appearing after doing certain actions, it's like a static noise, followed by a sound that resembles the speakers powering off. It's almost unhearable unless you pay attention, otherwise the speakers are flawless. Could fix some actions displaying it by going to settings, sound, and unticking pull-to-refresh sounds, however, the sound persists on unlocking screen.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I have my headphones plugged in, the music plays both in them and still comes out from the phone. This also happens with conversations... When my headphones are plugged in, the sound from the other person speaking comes out loudly from the phone, so everyone can hear it! This does not happen when the headphones are not connected. Then the sound just comes from the phone, and conversations are more quiet.
I have tried different headsets, earplugs and speakers, the problem is the same with all of them. I have tried looking at the settings, both on my phone and other applications. For the first time, my Bionic started making a sound, somewhat between a slow crackle and a tick (although not perfectly regular in timing), that was audible with the phone setting on a sofa cushion. It sounded like it was coming from the area of the mic, but I suppose it was coming from the speaker on the rear near the bottom. I was not actively using any apps at the time, although Google Music and Pocket Casts had both been used (via Bluetooth headset) earlier today.
I tried sleeping the phone and waking it up, and the sound resumed. Power off, waiting a minute or two, and then power on seems to have fixed it, at least for the 10 or so minutes since I restarted it. For the record, this phone has been nearly 100% reliable -- the battery cover has never been off since leaving the Verizon store, about a week after launch.
I bought my xperia z3 5 days ago.. Today in the mornin i just gave it just a lil shower under tapwater. It was working properly whole day. The speakers were working properly..
But in the night when i was playing songs.. The bottom speaker suddenly just started sounding cracky. Too cracky. Cant even listen to songs at half of the volume. Even notification ringtones are sounding cracky..
As we all Active users know our dear water resistant phone has one problem. The sound of speaker dims down drastically after exposing to water. And the reason for this is this membrane on the back cover, cuz when you remove the back cover the sound becomes normal.But ofcourse im not doing it yet, cuz i don't know what's the real purpose of that rubber, cuz the water gets in between both covers anyway. Maybe its something against pressure i don't know. Maybe someone knows the purpose of this rubber, or maybe someone has tried to remove it and can share their experience.
