Xperia Z2 :: Sound In Speaker While Headphones Connected
Feb 23, 2015
I have a question I want to know if it is normal that when I have connected the headphones listening to music incoming calls can be heard on the speaker and headphones but the sound is low ...
The sound on my phone wont work. My music wont play, you cant hear the keyboard noise or the lock noise, and when someone calls i cant hear what they are saying unless I put them on speaker or put headphones in. When the headphones are plugged into my phone, the sound works fine! i would like to know why the speakers ownt work anymore
my blackberry wont play no sound. where the volume meter is there is a headphone icon next to it even if there aint any headphones plugged in and when i take the headphones out nothing plays and when im put them in i hear sound, sometimes though it plays den stops then plays.
I have a Calypso SP bluetooth headphone. My phone shows it's connected to the device but the sound from music player still come out from the main speaker. When i got the sound to the headphone, there's this crackling sound coming out. I have tried pairing and unpairing the device a few times, but the results are still the same. It doesn't have any problem when paired with my galaxy s.
Sound in speaker while headphones connected?Calls ringtone and messages notification sound go from speaker AND heaphones at the same time [ New.however I was hoping there would be an improvment of some sort in the meantime.  Behavior right now: - Plug-in headphones (original XperiaZ2 gear) - Play music - Notifications mute music in headphones (but no ringtone is played), ringtones are output through speaker (Why? I cannot hear them there, since the original Xperia headphones are noisecanceling ... :-/ ). - Same goes for alarm-sounds too!  Now imagine the following: You sit in a train / bus / whatever public transportation, and you know you're tired and think "I better set an alarm, so I won't miss my stop". Even better, I plug-in headphones such that my alarm won't anoy my fellow passengers. Great idea! But wait, with this "feature" you won't just only anoy other people but also miss your stop since YOU don't hear the alarm, but everybody else does..Isn't there a better solution, than just mute all sounds aside from music? This in fact only solves the "anoy"-part, which is the littler issue in the above case.
I have just purchased a Sony Z5 (2 days old), when trying to listen to music through a headset or via Aux to Aux in the car, the music also comes out of the phone speaker.  I have cleared the data from the SMART CONNECT app and i have done the usual IT solution of turn it off and back on again, but this hasn't worked.
I've only had this phone for a couple of weeks and thought I'd give the radio a go but it comes up saying 'Please connect the headphones or handsfree. They work as the radio antenna.'. I am using the headphones that came with the phone.
I bought my Xperia SK17a a few months back in Vancouver, I then moved to Mexico, I unlocked it here in Mexico and it has always worked fine except for one thing: when I plug in my headphones I can hear my media just fine, but then if I unplug them the phone won't detect that it no longer has the headphones and so the sound and media will keep playing as if it the headphones were still plugged, obviously I can't hear nothing coming out from the built-in speaker because it keeps sending the sound to the 3.5 mm jack. Sometimes I can make it work, this will only happend if I shut down my phone or if I slightly plug in my headphones on the jack but not enought to get the music , after I do that I can hear a constant "tap-tap-tap-tap" as if someone was knocking the door, however I can't always do that or it dosn't always works. I can also hear that "taptaptap..." sound when I record or make a call and have the built-in speaker working, such speaker stop working the second I plug in and out my headphones and if I record a video with the headphones plugged or the speakers not working I can no longer hear such tapping on the video. Also, if i plug in the headphones I can no longer hear anything during a call, but they can indeed hear me, If i want to hear the other person I'd have to plug in my headphones or pray for a miracle to happen.
My phone rings, gets message notifications etc all normally. The problem I have is when I watch videos or want listen to music and play games etc, I get no sound unless I use headphones.
My xperia ray has good sound quality on the external speaker regarding hights. Female voices for example sound fine. But on a good headphone (i use the beyerdynamic DTX 101 IE and tried others) heights quality is sub-par. Now i am wondering, did Sony use bad hardware here or bad software? Is there any chance this can be fixed with an update?I really like the phone but this bothers me a bit especially as the phone plainly has the technology to recreate the sound adequately (the speaker works fine).
At work I use headphones, and I want phone calls etc. to call with sound only in my headphones, and call silent when headphones are disconnected. As it is now it rings from the speakers of the phone, even if headphones are connected. Â I have Android version 5.0. I have tried to use Smart connect but that doesn't work at all. For example I have set it up to start Spotify automatically when the headphones are plugged in, and also set the volume to normal, but when I plug in mye headphones nothing happens....
I am having sound problem with my Xperia Play. when I make or receive calls the ear speaker does not work, when I switch to hands free speaker I can hear the other person perfectly, I reset the phone but the fault still persists.
Am I really hearing some not so good quality here. Its just that I am having trouble understanding the one whom I am speaking to. I hear the sound as if my phone speaker is covered with a pillow.
Today i notice that i have this problem:Â URL....but on my bt speaker. Was fine when last tested couple of days ago.My Karbon Onyx speaker screams of pain now, even at lowest volume(unless 0 when its silent as in linked problem above) , while sound on my sony mdr-as800BT seems fine. Have not yet tested in my car.I seem to have all kind of volume related problem with this phone(z3) , earlier this...
When I have my headphones plugged in, the music plays both in them and still comes out from the phone. This also happens with conversations... When my headphones are plugged in, the sound from the other person speaking comes out loudly from the phone, so everyone can hear it! This does not happen when the headphones are not connected. Then the sound just comes from the phone, and conversations are more quiet.  I have tried different headsets, earplugs and speakers, the problem is the same with all of them. I have tried looking at the settings, both on my phone and other applications. I have also googled it, and I have tried to restart my phone.  And I have checked if they really are inserted correctly. What I can do? I just want to hear my music in piece and keep my conversations for myself.  I also checked this link: [URL] .... but it did not solve my problem ...
I bought my xperia z3 5 days ago.. Today in the mornin i just gave it just a lil shower under tapwater. It was working properly whole day. The speakers were working properly..
But in the night when i was playing songs.. The bottom speaker suddenly just started sounding cracky. Too cracky. Cant even listen to songs at half of the volume. Even notification ringtones are sounding cracky..
Im just wondering, if the upper and lower speaker of Z3 should be equal in sound. The upper speaker is more powerful than the lower speaker (with or without sound enhancement)
As we all Active users know our dear water resistant phone has one problem. The sound of speaker dims down drastically after exposing to water. And the reason for this is this membrane on the back cover, cuz when you remove the back cover the sound becomes normal. But ofcourse im not doing it yet, cuz i don't know what's the real purpose of that rubber, cuz the water gets in between both covers anyway. Maybe its something against pressure i don't know. Maybe someone knows the purpose of this rubber, or maybe someone has tried to remove it and can share their experience.
As of the 5th of May, the sound from the speaker and sound jack has had random crackles in any sound that is played, either from someone ringing me, an alarm or just from the music player
I've had my handset for just 3 days and the sound has stopped working. It works fine when I have headphones plugged in but nothing without.I'm going to try a factory reset in case an app I have installed is preventing the sound but I must say I'm pissed off as I've spent a lot of time customising it and getting it exactly as I want it...Anyone else had this? On another forum it says it might be the headphone socket sensor, so I tried plugging and unplugging headphones several times to no avail...
For the last week or so I've noticed, much to my embarassment, that sometimes the speaker is playing whatever music I'm listening to with my headphones plugged in. This is really frustrating in cubeland, as I hate to be a noisy neighbor, especially when it comes to sharing music. The fix is relatively simple, but temporary and annoying: restart the phone. This has happened every day I've used my headphones at work for the last week or two, and I'm getting tired of it.
So, my question to everyone is: Has this happened to you, and do you know if this is a software or hardware issue? Should I get this thing swapped out under warranty, or should I just wait for the next software update?
