View 2 Replies View RelatedOne day I was listening to my music on my iPhone and the phone dropped on the carpet (nothing hard) and after that when I took my headphones out, the phone no longer works on speaker and the loud sounds dont work unless the headphones are plugged in.

When I have my headphones plugged in, the music plays both in them and still comes out from the phone. This also happens with conversations... When my headphones are plugged in, the sound from the other person speaking comes out loudly from the phone, so everyone can hear it! This does not happen when the headphones are not connected. Then the sound just comes from the phone, and conversations are more quiet.
Â
I have tried different headsets, earplugs and speakers, the problem is the same with all of them. I have tried looking at the settings, both on my phone and other applications. I have also googled it, and I have tried to restart my phone.  And I have checked if they really are inserted correctly. What I can do? I just want to hear my music in piece and keep my conversations for myself.
Â
I also checked this link:Â [URL] .... but it did not solve my problem ...
When i am having a call with my headphones on,if i removed the headphones the call is on speaker, how can i turn off this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSound in speaker while headphones connected?Calls ringtone and messages notification sound go from speaker AND heaphones at the same time [ New.however I was hoping there would be an improvment of some sort in the meantime.
Â
Behavior right now:
- Plug-in headphones (original XperiaZ2 gear)
- Play music
- Notifications mute music in headphones (but no ringtone is played), ringtones are output through speaker (Why? I cannot hear them there, since the original Xperia headphones are noisecanceling ... :-/ ).Â
- Same goes for alarm-sounds too!
Â
Now imagine the following: You sit in a train / bus / whatever public transportation, and you know you're tired and think "I better set an alarm, so I won't miss my stop". Even better, I plug-in headphones such that my alarm won't anoy my fellow passengers. Great idea! But wait, with this "feature" you won't just only anoy other people but also miss your stop since YOUÂ don't hear the alarm, but everybody else does..Isn't there a better solution, than just mute all sounds aside from music? This in fact only solves the "anoy"-part, which is the littler issue in the above case.
I have just purchased a Sony Z5 (2 days old), when trying to listen to music through a headset or via Aux to Aux in the car, the music also comes out of the phone speaker.  I have cleared the data from the SMART CONNECT app and i have done the usual IT solution of turn it off and back on again, but this hasn't worked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my Xperia SK17a a few months back in Vancouver, I then moved to Mexico, I unlocked it here in Mexico and it has always worked fine except for one thing: when I plug in my headphones I can hear my media just fine, but then if I unplug them the phone won't detect that it no longer has the headphones and so the sound and media will keep playing as if it the headphones were still plugged, obviously I can't hear nothing coming out from the built-in speaker because it keeps sending the sound to the 3.5 mm jack. Sometimes I can make it work, this will only happend if I shut down my phone or if I slightly plug in my headphones on the jack but not enought to get the music , after I do that I can hear a constant "tap-tap-tap-tap" as if someone was knocking the door, however I can't always do that or it dosn't always works. I can also hear that "taptaptap..." sound when I record or make a call and have the built-in speaker working, such speaker stop working the second I plug in and out my headphones and if I record a video with the headphones plugged or the speakers not working I can no longer hear such tapping on the video. Also, if i plug in the headphones I can no longer hear anything during a call, but they can indeed hear me, If i want to hear the other person I'd have to plug in my headphones or pray for a miracle to happen.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy new Lumia 1020 was connected to wifi when I began setting it up. I got a data usage warning message the next day, so I made sure it was still connected to wifi - then I got another warning message advising me more charges were being applied to the data plan. I called ATT and explained and was told that the 4GLTE runs all kinds of stuff in the background that uses data and to turn the data off. I did - since then, no more data usage - however - it will not stay connected to wifi after a time out unless it is plugged in. It still shows that its connected to wifi but its not.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter I unplugged my headphones today the headphones icon at the top right next to the battery indicator remained. when I take a call I can't hear the person on the other end unless I have headphones plugged in. Also when I play music it won't play on loudspeaker because it thinks headphones are plugged in. i should mention as well that in the past day the phone had trouble recognising when the headphones were plugged in but a quick reset fixed this previously. I've also tried 3 different pairs of headphones.
I have had this phone for 6 months and never had a problem with it before. Is this a hardware or software issue and is there a way to fix it? I've reset the phone as well as hard reset the phone a number of times.
I get static noise when I plug in specific pairs of headphones into my HTC one m8. When I try them with my other devices, I don't hear any static noises. Is there something wrong with my device?

Last night I was listening to musc on my Lumia 920. I unplugged the headphones and wnet to use the phone a few minutes later. no sound comes out tof the speakers now the headphones sill work great, but it I cannot make a call without my headset now. I know the phone thinks the headphones are plugged in, because the sounds settings allow me to adjust the equalizer (w/o headphones plugged in this option is not available).

I have a new S5 and notice when I plug in headphones the notification sounds are still audible from the phone speaker. I had an S3 and S4 and I'm certain when I plugged my headphones in the ringtones, etc were no longer audible. The were heard on the headphones along with the music or whatever I was listening to. Why this may be happening?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a really bad problem with my Galaxy S5. My S4 was fine until I updated to Lollipop, so I think that's the problem.
I'm playing music with headphones plugged in, Whatsapp notification sound plays through speakers.
That's fine.
BUT suddenly during notification, the music ALSO plays through the speakers for a few seconds! This is really frustrating because I receive messages throughout the day and don't want everyone around me to be disturbed with what I'm listening to (in library, on bus, etc.).
Nothing I try works.
Before Lollipop, Whatsapp notification would play on speakers and audio still through headphones. That was fine.
Just wondering if this is a bug or intentional? Whenever I have my headphones plugged in and I get a text notification (or any notification really) the noise plays through my headphones and through my speakers on my N5. Is this intentional and is there any way to stop this? I only want the noise coming through my headphones when they're plugged in.

I've had my handset for just 3 days and the sound has stopped working. It works fine when I have headphones plugged in but nothing without.I'm going to try a factory reset in case an app I have installed is preventing the sound but I must say I'm pissed off as I've spent a lot of time customising it and getting it exactly as I want it...Anyone else had this? On another forum it says it might be the headphone socket sensor, so I tried plugging and unplugging headphones several times to no avail...
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the last week or so I've noticed, much to my embarassment, that sometimes the speaker is playing whatever music I'm listening to with my headphones plugged in. This is really frustrating in cubeland, as I hate to be a noisy neighbor, especially when it comes to sharing music. The fix is relatively simple, but temporary and annoying: restart the phone. This has happened every day I've used my headphones at work for the last week or two, and I'm getting tired of it.
So, my question to everyone is: Has this happened to you, and do you know if this is a software or hardware issue? Should I get this thing swapped out under warranty, or should I just wait for the next software update?
My iPhone 4 has developed a problem - I get no sound at all, not through the speakers, or by plugging in the headphones.Â
No app sounds, no key sounds, no phone call sounds - nothing! Â
I've tried cleaning all the fluff out of the headphone jack and the dock connector, I've also tried a full restore.Â
One other odd thing that happens is that if I open the Music app, it has now started cycling forward through the track listing by itself.
i cant get handsfree speaker on anymore, it goes to headphones
