Its about 2 months, that I bought the new X10 mini. All of a sudden the speaker has stopped working. I tried the speaker test using "Home Back Back Home Back Home Home Back", but looks like the speaker is dead. There is absolutely no sound. I stay at Mysore and need to get this repaired at the service center.

I can use the loudspeaker or handsfree kit but the internal speaker has stopped working. Could it be a software issue or is it likely to be a hardware one?

Previously everything is ok.When answering a call without a bluetooth device/handfree, I can't hear anything from the phone until I need to use the loud speaker always. Otherwise, I need to use the bluetooth all the while.
View 4 Replies View Relateda while back my xperia mini started with this annoying (and weird ) habit to slowly decrease the volume on the left speaker when playing music. It starts out as normal balance but after a few songs the left is starting to go down to a very low level. Not muting it completely though. It doesn't replug the headphones or even restart the phone. When I give up and leave it for a while it returns to normal though...for a while. Do you think it's hardware or software based? Since it takes a while for the volume to go down I feel it can be difficult for a support to properly analyze it. I'm running stock android 2.1-update1. I've tried different music players but it stays the same.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought my Xperia SK17a a few months back in Vancouver, I then moved to Mexico, I unlocked it here in Mexico and it has always worked fine except for one thing: when I plug in my headphones I can hear my media just fine, but then if I unplug them the phone won't detect that it no longer has the headphones and so the sound and media will keep playing as if it the headphones were still plugged, obviously I can't hear nothing coming out from the built-in speaker because it keeps sending the sound to the 3.5 mm jack. Sometimes I can make it work, this will only happend if I shut down my phone or if I slightly plug in my headphones on the jack but not enought to get the music , after I do that I can hear a constant "tap-tap-tap-tap" as if someone was knocking the door, however I can't always do that or it dosn't always works. I can also hear that "taptaptap..." sound when I record or make a call and have the built-in speaker working, such speaker stop working the second I plug in and out my headphones and if I record a video with the headphones plugged or the speakers not working I can no longer hear such tapping on the video. Also, if i plug in the headphones I can no longer hear anything during a call, but they can indeed hear me, If i want to hear the other person I'd have to plug in my headphones or pray for a miracle to happen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy sk17i mini pro received an update (Build Number 4.0.2.A.0.62, i believe?) a few days ago and since then when making/receiving calls the loudspeaker is always on by default, rather than the ear speaker. This didn't happen before. This isn't a major problem but now I have to switch to the ear speaker during every phone call. (By the way, the loudspeaker volume is superb!)Is there a way to set the ear speaker to default for phone calls?

I have currently installed GB (generic) on my X10 which is rooted and have xRecovery installed. Last weekend I installed the "Stutter Fix" and it solved a few problems I had and I love it! The problem now though is that when the phone rings or a notification comes (SMS, email etc), if I have the headset plugged in, no sound comes out of the phone's speaker. It only comes out of the headset and that wasnt the case before. When the headset is not pluged in the speaker works fine, so there is no harware issue or anything like that. I have the headset pluged in 90% of the time so I really need this feature. I looked at the settings and such but I didnt find anything that could change that and put it back as it was. I dont want to flash a new ROM again.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had a white Z5 Compact for a week and have now noticed that the bottom speaker is much louder than the top, ruining the stereo effect. I am sure it did not come this way out of the box. I didn't notice until after the recent firmware update (32.0.A.6.152), but cannot know whether this is the cause of the problem. I went through the hassle of factory reset and the phone still has the problem. I haven't subjected the phone to any physical trauma at all and will be returning it.

Wi-Fi doesn't works, I have tried resetting to factory settings, update to Android 2.1 and do a 'Repair' suggested by SE Support and not succeed. The phone tries to connect and after several seconds a message appears 'obtaining adress' and nothing happens until it disconnects by itself. It happens in all cases even without WEP security.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had my Mini Pro less than two weeks and the back key is unresponsive intermittently. The menu key can also play up, but not as much as the back key. The only thing that gets it working is turning the phone off. I thought it may be the screen protector but have taken it off and it is still there. I have not used the phone as anything but a phone (no internet browsing at all, have not even connected to the internet) so not sure whether firmware will help as it is new and could not have been damaged remotely?

Bought a SK17i about 1 year ago, I was perfectly happy.. Then after some time the touchscreen responded slower as normal. Helpdesk advised to do system update. Problem seemed solved, but returned after some time again. I removed pictures and movies and emptied out the inbox, phone worked normal. Last month it just failed on me, it just stopped working.. I get no respons from the touchscreen, tried recalibrating & system update & even hard reset ( advised by sony helpdesk) without result! When I slide it open to use the keyboard, the display flips and I can navigate with the arrows ect so the phone seems still fully functional except for the touch screen

The native backup solution of Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich, ICS) is not working on my setup.
On my windows command line:
adb backup -apk -shared -all

Normally a phone with ICS should ask me to allow the backup process. But on my phone just nothing happens.Is this behavior "Unable to launch full backup confirmation" desired by Sony?What is the Sony way of doing a full backup of my phone?
Yesterday i saw i had a text message and wanted to read it. When i slid to get lock of half way it stopped, flickered and got back in begin posistion.Since then i cant use my touch screen. Battery removing and such doenst work. Cant do a repair cause cant use my touchscreen to get in required usb modus.
