BB Bold 9700 :: Clear Plastic Cover Available / Recommended?
Feb 21, 2010It's been a LONG time since I've posted here, although I've been on HoFo and RFD a lot more. I just got my Bell Blackberry Bold 9700 and I'm so excited.
Gonna upgrade from a curve 8330. I used a clear plastic cover for my 8330 to preserve it, is there a cheap one available for the 9700, is it recommended because of the rubber/leather style rear cover?

Apr 7, 2010I have bought a nokia N86 for about 2 months, but one time the handset dropped on the ground and the outer cover got broken. I went to ask for a spare part but I found it expensive. What made me hesitating is that someone told me that the preinstalled cover is much better than the one I buy from the nokia care service. Is that right? Shall I go and replace my cover or just stick with my cover?

Apr 9, 2010i had my n900 for a while now.camera lens cover(top part) has peeled off from its glue and the wire makes the cover open and close came loose by itself. i have the warranty but i do not want to send my phone just for the cover for 2 weeks. is there any place on web that i can order the lens cover only and replace it my self. its very east to remove since its plastic base.i only have the blue base on the phone now and it is loose so its keep opening the camera mode. very annoying. please help.

Aug 25, 2012So, I've always been on the stock GB rom it shipped with and had no issues. I decide to update to ICS but since the update doesn't show up in PC companion or Update Service or OTA, I get flashtool and the stock .431 ftf and flash my mini pro (SI 1249-0751) to ICS (and also plug in a fresh new 32GB microSDHC card to celebrate). A bit laggy, crashes of the contact viewer when searching throught the dialpad, but that's okay, I can use a different launcher (Zeam) and dialer app (Dialer One).But when I open the camera app and try to take a picture with the front camera ...... there's no option. It's gone.
Another camera app, no front camera.Skype recognises only the rear camera. No front camera.I open the service menu (*#*#SERVICE#*#* i.e *#*#7378423#*#*) and test the secondary camera, and it says "This device does not support the function". The primary works fine. All other supported features work fine. Light sensor (next to the front cam) responds too. (But the Proximity switch doesn't. Not sure if it should. Perhaps that could hint at a hardware problem with the connections from the bottom half to the top slider part.)
I scout the forums and find that there's some some strange relationship between the SD card and the front camera for the Ray (or some other device) . With the old SD card, still no luck.I downgrade to GB. Still not working. Front cam missing.I unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom (CyanogenMod 9.0.0 Stable mango).Still not working. Front cam missing.I reinstall GB, relock the bootloader in the hope of an OTA update and do finally get one (to ICS). I update it. Still not working. Front cam missing.I don't think it's (gulp) hardware. There hasn't been any drop onto a hard surface.

Nov 14, 2012I have a ST15i with Android version 4.0.4 and the build 4.1.B.0.587, when i click the camera button in the main screen i am able to see the back camera view and there is not front /back camera toggle button. i did the factory reset almost 5 times, but no result, is there any patch to solve this issue, due to this i am not able to use Skype Video calls.

Motorola Atrix 4G :: Speaker Only Works When The Battery Cover Is Off?
May 6, 2011Lately I've noticed that I've been missing a lot of calls and texts, which I finally realized was from the phone not producing sounds. The only way I can get the speaker to work is to either remove the battery cover, or to apply pressure to the bottom of the cover while it is on (or pressing on the speaker grille) so I'm assuming it's some sort of physical connection issue. I don't understand why it would work with the battery cover off though if that was the case, so would a new battery cover fix everything? Or am I stuck with a vibrate-only phone until my next upgrade?

Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Left Speaker Volume Decrease?
Sep 20, 2011a while back my xperia mini started with this annoying (and weird ) habit to slowly decrease the volume on the left speaker when playing music. It starts out as normal balance but after a few songs the left is starting to go down to a very low level. Not muting it completely though. It doesn't replug the headphones or even restart the phone. When I give up and leave it for a while it returns to normal though...for a while. Do you think it's hardware or software based? Since it takes a while for the volume to go down I feel it can be difficult for a support to properly analyze it. I'm running stock android 2.1-update1. I've tried different music players but it stays the same.
