I have been using the Xperia mini/pro for a little over a month. Took lots of pictures - no problem. Then took some today, and somehow mysteriously they have disappeared...or at least turned into an icon looking like a sign of a broken mountain... How to retrieve these pictures, if possible?!

My z2 has a camera problem. initially worked fine , then stopped taking photos - they show as broken files and can't be opened. I factory reset the phone and the camera worked for one day. it then stopped taking photos - when you take a pic, it shows the little orange circle going round and round , but then doesn't store the photo. Yesterday I cleared the cache and this appeared to make it work. The camera now takes photos, but I cannot message or bluetooth them - just says could not add item. I tried to transfer them to my computer , via usb and they all show as broken files , but with the .jpg extension , so not the lost.dir problem. Any better camera to download thru playstore that works well ...

Both start with ".thumbdata--" and are followed by a number, one is 348 MB and the other is 470 MB in size! My card has 16GB capacity I delete them but they keep coming back whenever I use the camera, the gallery or change the wallpaper.
I allready re-installed the ICS and reboot my phone so this is not a solution
where the photos and videos are saved and how can I change this path?I supposed and hoped that was on /sdcard/images but it is not the case. I would like to work with this files via usb.I simply can't see any kind of advanced configuration for the camera, there are some application that can do that?

What I could do to avoid this happening in the future? This phone takes good photos but why they keep disappearing.

A few photos each day will suddenly slowly disappear. The photo's thumbnail remains intact, but the photo itself will just show a partial block of the image with the rest just gray, or odd lines. It began with photos on the internal storage, so I moved them to the external sd card, and it happens there as well. I've tried other gallery apps and sending them to the computer, but it appears they are permanently corrupted. (Other than the easy response of factory reset)

I tried to import them from Mac and PC, but a message said "An error occurred while importing. The item ‘IMG_3810.JPG” was not imported."
Can si the size and the name, but can't do anything. I tried to recover the backups with some programs, couldn´t fpund those photos. I think the photos could be damage.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated Music Unlimited today from version 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 and it... just stopped working.If I'm online, it starts loading but at 47% it says that it can't connect to the server and the application exits.But the best part is that I cannot even use my offline playlists... if I start the application while offline, it says that I must be online to activate offline playlists! Incredible but true.

My phone, which is already updated to ICS build .431, still has not received .587. Over 2 months to release a MINOR update? Really Sony? What's more, .587 doesn't include a fix for the broken LED notifications? You don't fix the most talked about bug on your forums in the next ICS release? I'm not buying your excuses. My phone is unlocked, unbranded, bought sim free. over 2 months (and counting) to release a minor update is unbelievable.You have failed at this whole ICS software release, and for that reason, I will be looking elsewhere for my next phone.

I was having problems with my x10 mini pro over the weekend when sending texts, it was being really slow and kept saying there was a problem with the messaging application and asked me if i wanted to "force a close" or "wait". I chose wait everytime and everything seemed ok, except for being really really slow. Today I got the same message when sending a text, but it didnt give me the option to "wait" and I had to press "force close". Well, it then showed me as having NO text messages in my history....I have lost them all. I went in the Vodofone shop and he said they are gone for good....does anyone know anyway I can get them back? Some of them are really special to me and I hate the thought of losing them all like that with no warning

I had(hopefully still have somewhere) a lot of important information stored there. This topic has already been issued at this as well as other forums, without any reasonable solution. My notes were stored in Notes which is an original feature of the phones software. Is it really impossible to retrieve them anyhow? Aren't there a way to wind time backwards and undo the upgrade? Where and in which format Notes files information is stored? Are they saved at the SD card?

I recently noticed that it is gone, it does not appear any more when I turn my screen off. I have tried changing the animation settings under "display" category but nothing happens.

I use telkomsel as the telco provideri update around December 2011 (?) to 4.0.2.A.0.58.In February this year or close to that, there is a permanent notification to update the FW to x.x.062. because i don't have time yet, I just let it stay that way. end february I went to US and will stay here in US until next april.for cost reason in US I used AT&T.after using AT&T for awhile, i just realized that the update notification is gone, i try to check trough setting> about phone> software update.and it say my phone is up to date. my guess is the x.x.062 is not yet approved by AT&T or something like that.my question is this: "will the notification update show up again when I'm back in Indonesia and switch the SIM card to my previous telco provider; Telkomsel?i'm only interested to update the phone back in Indonesia, just to make sure i'm not messing with anything.

As a consequence, it will not do certain app-updates (like Facebook) and seems to be running slower each time. I have a 16 GB SD card installed so I should have plenty of memory.
