Jul 13, 2011I need to check the SIM lock status on my phone, but I'm having problems. When I try to do this I ensure the phone's keyboard is locked i.e. the screen is lit and the slider with a lock on the left and the speaker on the right is on. I have wallpaper on the home screen and the clock is displayed. I have tried this with the screen unlit, I have tried this in safe mode, I have tried this with the old sim in, with the new sim in, I have tried this in safe mode - everything. If the power lock button is touched it locks and the screen darkens, hit it again the screen lights no problem. However it does power down again very quickly if no buttons are touched tried to set this for the longest time possible - makes no difference. At present I'm running Android 2.1. which I upgraded to last month.

May 4, 2012I use Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro (Gingerbread and updated). Since I use Facebook App for Android on my Xperia Pro for posting status message, I never see that Xperia Brand appears on status message indicator on the bottom of the status, e.g. 1 minute ago via Xperia. Whereas, other Xperia smartphones such as Arc, Mini Pro, etc, no problem was found (the brand appears).

Oct 21, 2011In the older versions the data enabled/disabled icon disappeared every time I cleaned the notifications on the status bar, but after updating to ICS it's stuck. Only changes from enbled to disabled, and touching on it opens the settings, but there aren't any options to turn it off or hide it. Or I'm missing the option somewhere?

Making that aside, i must say i found it odd that, when using the SE Pc companion software to update my android build from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 the Supportzone says my mobile is already up to date, when it is clearly showing an outdated build and kernel ( 4.0.A.2.377) how can i get my mobile to be up to date?P.S from time to time i notice the flicker when the light sensor senses a decrease on light, but its barely noticeable.

May 10, 2011I was having problems with my x10 mini pro over the weekend when sending texts, it was being really slow and kept saying there was a problem with the messaging application and asked me if i wanted to "force a close" or "wait". I chose wait everytime and everything seemed ok, except for being really really slow. Today I got the same message when sending a text, but it didnt give me the option to "wait" and I had to press "force close". Well, it then showed me as having NO text messages in my history....I have lost them all. I went in the Vodofone shop and he said they are gone for good....does anyone know anyway I can get them back? Some of them are really special to me and I hate the thought of losing them all like that with no warning

Dec 25, 2011After upgrading my Xperia X10 mini pro all my notes disappeared even though I did a back-up. I had(hopefully still have somewhere) a lot of important information stored there. This topic has already been issued at this as well as other forums, without any reasonable solution. My notes were stored in Notes which is an original feature of the phones software. Is it really impossible to retrieve them anyhow? Aren't there a way to wind time backwards and undo the upgrade? Where and in which format Notes files information is stored? Are they saved at the SD card?

Mar 20, 2012Xperia mini pro has this cool animation when you press the switch off button...it turns the screen off (puts it in stand by) by closing the screen to the middle with a little white flash. I recently noticed that it is gone, it does not appear any more when I turn my screen off. I have tried changing the animation settings under "display" category but nothing happens.

I use telkomsel as the telco provideri update around December 2011 (?) to 4.0.2.A.0.58.In February this year or close to that, there is a permanent notification to update the FW to x.x.062. because i don't have time yet, I just let it stay that way. end february I went to US and will stay here in US until next april.for cost reason in US I used AT&T.after using AT&T for awhile, i just realized that the update notification is gone, i try to check trough setting> about phone> software update.and it say my phone is up to date. my guess is the x.x.062 is not yet approved by AT&T or something like that.my question is this: "will the notification update show up again when I'm back in Indonesia and switch the SIM card to my previous telco provider; Telkomsel?i'm only interested to update the phone back in Indonesia, just to make sure i'm not messing with anything.

Jan 8, 2012 I recently purchased a used, unlocked Motorola Atrix off eBay from a reputable seller (over 5000 feedback & 100%).Having put my o2 sim card & micro SD card into the Atrix, I plugged in the charger & left it for a few hours.I then turned it on & followed the instructions for creating a MotoBlur account & setting everything else up.Once I started getting use to the layout, I then realised there was no status bar at the top of the screen.I've hunted thru menus & tried several factory resets but no status bar.I got in touch with the seller who told me to download the Software Update program from Motorola.
I've now tried the UK retail, the UK Orange (it was originally on Orange Network) and the US AT&T & each time it gives me the option to reinstall but fails after 23% with "Error - Update has not been completed" during which time the phone has rebooted & locks up at the initial ['M' Dual Core] logo screen. Only a battery pull resets it.
Has anyone come across this situation where the status bar doesn't exist?

Then took some today, and somehow mysteriously they have disappeared...or at least turned into an icon looking like a sign of a broken mountain... How to retrieve these pictures, if possible?!
