Xperia Mini/pro :: ST15a Showing Up-to-date Status With Old 2.3.3 Build?

I recently bought this phone, The Xperia mini st15a and i have to say it was completely worth my money! Making that aside, i must say i found it odd that, when using the SE Pc companion software to update my android build from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 the Supportzone says my mobile is already up to date, when it is clearly showing an outdated build and kernel ( 4.0.A.2.377) how can i get my mobile to be up to date?P.S from time to time i notice the flicker when the light sensor senses a decrease on light, but its barely noticeable.

I have an xperia st15i with ICS 4.0.4 build 4.1.B.0.431 but in my country Colombia this phone doesn't work with the 3g netwotk on my mobile network operator, Can i flash an st15a ROM to my st15i phone? will this change 3g bands?

here do you find the build date in the D3?I was sure i saw it in the settings menu however i checked there the other day and not there so i cannot remeber if i did see it there or not does anyone know of a way to gete this information

I need to check the SIM lock status on my phone, but I'm having problems. When I try to do this I ensure the phone's keyboard is locked i.e. the screen is lit and the slider with a lock on the left and the speaker on the right is on. I have wallpaper on the home screen and the clock is displayed. I have tried this with the screen unlit, I have tried this in safe mode, I have tried this with the old sim in, with the new sim in, I have tried this in safe mode - everything. If the power lock button is touched it locks and the screen darkens, hit it again the screen lights no problem. However it does power down again very quickly if no buttons are touched tried to set this for the longest time possible - makes no difference. At present I'm running Android 2.1. which I upgraded to last month.

i have the date settings set as 31/12/10, it has this setting on the widget and on the notification bar but when it locks the format goes to 12/31/10.This is on the android 2.1, which came on the phone, not upgraded and i have twice used the repair function through pc companion and it still doesn't seem right.Is this normal?

I put a new sim into my daughters xperia mini pro but after i turned the phone back on, the date was reset to 31/1/1980 and the time was 00.00. The phone is set to 'use network values' for the date and time so i cant understand why it is showing the wrong date and time

I recently acquired a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro second hand, and on using the phone I discovered that it still had android 1.6 installed. I want to upgrade it to 2.1 and after scouring the internet for help I installed both the PC companion and the update service on my computer. However, whenever I connect my phone to my laptop both programmes say that the phone is up to date (even though it is still android 1.6). I even used the update service to reinstall the software on my phone, but still no luck.On the Sony-Ericsson product blog, my phone's SI number 1238-0204 is on the update rollout list, so I should be able to upgrade right? I'm using my O2 simcard inside a phone that is supposed to be locked to Tesco Mobile according to the box, but it works fine. Do you think that is why I can't upgrade?

I use Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro (Gingerbread and updated). Since I use Facebook App for Android on my Xperia Pro for posting status message, I never see that Xperia Brand appears on status message indicator on the bottom of the status, e.g. 1 minute ago via Xperia. Whereas, other Xperia smartphones such as Arc, Mini Pro, etc, no problem was found (the brand appears).

In the older versions the data enabled/disabled icon disappeared every time I cleaned the notifications on the status bar, but after updating to ICS it's stuck. Only changes from enbled to disabled, and touching on it opens the settings, but there aren't any options to turn it off or hide it. Or I'm missing the option somewhere?

After updating my sk17 to 4.0.4 my status bar began to freeze. Every time i close applications - time stops, and every icon that was in bar stuck there. I asked some people, they told me to root my phone and replace some files. But I don't have much experience in rooting, so i am afraid of spoiling phone. Set my status bar back without rooting my se?

I really happy of with my brand new Xperia Mini. However I just noticed that when downloading the videos I took with it onto my PC, the creation date of the file is no more the date when I shot the video but the date and time when it was imported on the PC.Whatever the way I tranfer the video I lose the right date: either accessing via the Windows Filer Manager or via Media Go.Strangely enough there is no such issue with the pictures, where date and time are the right one.

Xperia mini pro Android 2.3.4 . I keep getting the message that my phone is running low on memory. As a consequence, it will not do certain app-updates (like Facebook) and seems to be running slower each time. I have a 16 GB SD card installed so I should have plenty of memory. I moved all APPS which can be moved to the SD card.I have tried un-installing various apps.

I connected my phone to my laptop using the usb cable, just wanted to copy pictures etc as per usual. PC companion said there was an update, followed the instructions including holding the back button down while reconnecting the cable. Halfway through updating there was an error, and laptop and phone both froze. Laptop is working now (after force shutting down by taking out the battery), but phone is neither on/off, instead there is just a flashing error signal of an exclamation mark ! inside a triangle, next to a graphic of the phone.I've tried restarting the phone, charging the phone, pressing both the on & home key, and taking out battery and sim card... nothing has worked!

what the current Build is for the 1.6? My device has Build R2CA016 and I have seen where some people on here have a later build. I am in the U.S. and when I try and see if there is an update to the build, Companion tells me that my phone is already up to date on the latest software.
