I put a new sim into my daughters xperia mini pro but after i turned the phone back on, the date was reset to 31/1/1980 and the time was 00.00. The phone is set to 'use network values' for the date and time so i cant understand why it is showing the wrong date and time

X10 Mini 2.1. How do yo set the correct time down to the right second? Whatever I try its like 30 seconds off. I try setting it 30 sec early compared to real time, and also 30 sec late. But it still changes minute when the real time says like 18:15:30 (hh:mm:sec). I am setting it to manual and Im using the TV as an indication for the exact time. But the phone always changes minute about 30 seconds wrong, no matter how I try.

Right from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently acquired a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro second hand, and on using the phone I discovered that it still had android 1.6 installed. I want to upgrade it to 2.1 and after scouring the internet for help I installed both the PC companion and the update service on my computer. However, whenever I connect my phone to my laptop both programmes say that the phone is up to date (even though it is still android 1.6). I even used the update service to reinstall the software on my phone, but still no luck.On the Sony-Ericsson product blog, my phone's SI number 1238-0204 is on the update rollout list, so I should be able to upgrade right? I'm using my O2 simcard inside a phone that is supposed to be locked to Tesco Mobile according to the box, but it works fine. Do you think that is why I can't upgrade?

The time zone is correct under settings and it eventually fixes itself... but it is really strange. When I send a text while the time is off the time stamp on the text is also off.

However I just noticed that when downloading the videos I took with it onto my PC, the creation date of the file is no more the date when I shot the video but the date and time when it was imported on the PC.Whatever the way I tranfer the video I lose the right date: either accessing via the Windows Filer Manager or via Media Go.Strangely enough there is no such issue with the pictures, where date and time are the right one.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe Time randomly changes by hours and minutes. This morning it was off by 3 hours plus some minutes. I am in the correct time zone and the Date & Time is set to Automatic; Time Zone is New York. I have another iPhone 5c in my house hold and it does NOT experience the same issue. Both iPhones are using the same Apple ID. I have not reset the phone yet because I will lose all previous text messages etc. I m also not able to connect to yahoo mail when the time is off and I am forced to send Text messages as opposed to iMessage, which has caused problems with my contacts NOT being able to text me.Â

I'm in a blackberry group with some friends and we have two problems.
Firstly our Administrator's (we only had one) blackberry was water damaged and so she had to get a new blackberry. So now we can't assign anyone to be the new administrator.I'm not sure if she fixed the water damaged phone or just threw it away I just know she got a new phone.
Secondly our message times don't correspond with our blackberry time i.e if I type a message at 11:02 it shows up as 2:02.
I have a Xperia x10 mini pro and it was working fine up untill now. It swicthed off and when i switched it back on , it just loads till the Sony Ericsson Logo, and Loops the whole time . It does not want to go past that stage.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy X10 mini/pro hangs all the time. It hangs during following conditions -
1. Receiving calls - kept phone idle for some time. Getting a call on the phone.. and stuckkk!!! It hangs, just like that. Screen does not respond at all to the touches. And cannot pick the incoming call at all.
2. Already on a call - already on a call and get another incoming call.. trying to hold first call and pick up second. But again.. STUCKK!! Cant do anything since the screen does not repond.
When the phone hangs, cannot evne shut it down since shutting down requires you to hold the shut down button - which gives Menu (silent, airplane mode, shutdown etc.) and you cant select Shutdown option since the screen is not responding to touch.
So only thing you can do is remove the battery and put it back. This worked for some time, but now I have replace battery 2 to 3 times before the phone starts responding to touch again.
I read of some forums that other people too have faced this issue and even software/firmware upgrade has not worked. Is this issues due to a bad piece or with all X10 mini/pros?
I have a x6, mentioned time in delivery reports is not correct, some times refer to one hour later than delivered time!

It was pretty slow before, but now it's unusable. I have tried app killer applications and tried deleting messaging history but it just can't seem to handle a simple request.
I love this phone, there's no other phone out there with the same design and shape, but I'm getting seriously fed up as this is not the first problem I've had. I think I will try a different manufacturer next time - SE have let me down.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Google Nexus 5 running Android 5.0.1 and have recently noticed that the time assigned to pictures taken with my phone are all time-stamped five hours later than when the pictures were actually taken. By time stamped I mean the time shown when I pull up the picture's details.
Given that it's exactly five hours off it seems to me that it's probably a time-zone issue. However, I've checked the settings on my phone under Settings/Date & Time and although both the date and time are set to Automatic Date & Time and Automatic Time Zone, the grayed out text below are showing the correct date, time and time zone. This makes sense since my phone displays the correct date and time across the board except for the photo details.Is this something that can be fixed by adjusting some settings I'm not aware of?
