I'm sure the other day when i was in an SMS thread in the stock messaging app i noticed words to the effect of '<contact name> is typing a message'. Surprised me as I thought only services live Whatsapp and FB Msgr did this? Am i halucinating? And if not, to how this works over SMS?

View 7 Replies View RelatedBasically my phone was fine when I got it a week and a half ago and then it started, when I touch the keys at the bottom or type the vibration is on low but there's a loud buzz when I touch the keys. I've tried turning the vibration intensity up and down and the buzz is still there. I've seen other posts on google about this but nothing to say what happened after they complained. My partner has the same phone and his only makes the buzz sound every two or three types. When the phone rings it's the same. I tested it against a note 3 and there was no noise when the keys were pressed with the vibration on.

Indeed while typing this sort paragraph it's taking longer because the keyboard is entering letters for me. I have already rebooted the phone reinstalled software and was OK for a while. But now it's back. Impossible to go on to Facebook as I can't scroll down without opening every link.

I tried all the options in sound settings, I tried all the options in the vibrate, but still the same.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had W350i which had a CD of PC Suite which had the facility of typing long SMS by connecting mobile phones with PC and then type from computer's keyboard long SMS but how can I do it now, I have Xperia X10 Mini Pro, I don't know that PC companion has this facility because it is too heavy to install as my web connection is not good enough? Is there anyone has the solution? It has 2.1 Android.

Ive tried restarting the phone, installing a different keyboard and clearing the keyboards cache.
when typing with the physical keyboard, the Z and the Y is changed. So the Y is next to the U and the Z is next to the X. How can I change this? I want to have it the other way around.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've recently started getting a problem where my text message program freezes if my phone turns off the screen (i.e. me being inactive for a while). When I get back again it says I can either wait for it to respond or terminate the process. If I wait it unfreezes, but it is still very irritating that it happens every time.
And who's incredibly stupid idea was it to make long SMS messages into MMS-messages? I have problems with my messages not being sent properly, or being sent only partially, all the time. Is there any way to change back so it just adds more text messages instead of converting into MMS?
I use the standard text messaging program that came with my X10 mini pro, and I'd rather not switch since I found it quite good until after recent updates when I got these problems.
my os is now android 2.1 . the vibrate notion is somewhat costly for the battery. especially for someone like me who does a lot of calls..

When I try to do this I ensure the phone's keyboard is locked i.e. the screen is lit and the slider with a lock on the left and the speaker on the right is on. I have wallpaper on the home screen and the clock is displayed. I have tried this with the screen unlit, I have tried this in safe mode, I have tried this with the old sim in, with the new sim in, I have tried this in safe mode - everything. If the power lock button is touched it locks and the screen darkens, hit it again the screen lights no problem. However it does power down again very quickly if no buttons are touched tried to set this for the longest time possible - makes no difference. At present I'm running Android 2.1. which I upgraded to last month.

I turned off the battery status with stamina and percentage of battery cause of overcrowded status bar!!So I have to use during battery saver pro battery indicator instead of Sony(it's just a little circle with percentage).
Anyway to hide 1&2 icons??
I've just had a small update to my Z3 and the status bar has reverted to a blue colour rather than the transparent that it usually is. It only occurs when using the Google Now Launcher, and is fine using the Xperia one..
