I just purchase an iPhone 4s and it seems like some dirt has accumulated in the ear piece. I was wondering if I could use the edge of a paper or a toothpick to pry some of the bits out of it. I just wanted to make sure that the metal backing was durable enough to withstand me prodding at it without getting damaged.
I have an iPhone 4. My bottom speaker and front camera do not work. I've taken it to an at&t store and they attempted to repair it, but were unsuccessful. I was wondering if apple had a solution or if I could trade in my phone for a new one.
Is there any meaning to the LED turning green behind the top front speaker? It has turned green a few times only when my phone was plugged into a car charger and it froze up?
i recently erased my iphone 3gs to factory settings (due to some issues), and i restored/upgraded to OS4.It has the old bootrom. How do i jailbreak this thing now? From what i read, 3gs models can be jailbroken if they have already been jailbroken from a previous version. Is this correct?
I Never owned a white iphone, How hard is it to keep it clean under normal use?Folks that have owned white iphones in the past, How hard is it to keep it clean under normal use? Would you get it in white again?
Why can I not clean up my iPhone?I have a songs and movies that I no longer want to carry with me. To delete them I have to somehow remember what I want gone, go to iTunes delete them and resync. Then there are apps Calculator, Stocks, Notes, Weather.Apple thinks they are great and was me to keep them, no way at all to delete them. Even though I purchased apps that do much more when I scroll through the apps I need to see the useless Apples' Apps.
I spent several hours cleaning up my contact list on my iPhone 3GS. Will they either be deleted, or added to by my previously backed up list on itunes, when I re-connect to itunes?
I have usage of 4 GB of others on my iPhone. I want to know if there is any app I could download and see where is the use for and be able to delet the file?
I suspect there may be a few 3rd party apps secretly installed in my iphone. Yesterday, I got one app keep prompting for one of my email password and even though I chose to cancel it, it insisted to prompt me and locked everything else out. I ended need to do a reboot. After reboot, the app never came back which make me even more suspicious. So, is there a way I can reset the iphone 4S to original state and I can re-install any app I want and not install the ones I no longer use?
I've got a 32gb 3GS, which is jailbroken. It's version 3.1.2 with a modem firmware of 05.11.07It's been jailbroken with Blackra1n but not unlocked (no need).. I've got a new phone now and would like to sell this as a jailbroken phone. Is there a method I can use to clean the phone of all my data but not lose the jailbreak?
My phone was stolen out of my bag, it was dead. So he/she had chearged and posted a picture on one of my social media accounts basically taunting me?Â
I bought a new one so I have that cleared up and I am not worried about that, but I have a GREAT deal of passwords and important information on there, just hoping there is another way to erase all said personal information from my phone. Like many others, my request to erase is still pending, is that just because they have not connected to wifi? And if he/she goes weeks without accessing wifi does this mean he/she can see all personal information on there?
I want to clean the junk files and cookies but will those web pages that I've opened in Safari being delete after clicking the "Clear History and Website Data" button in Setting?
I did a clean install/set-up-as-new to iOS 4.0 GM on my 3GS last night and, upon launching Skype for the first time, got the message that they only support it on unmodified versions of 3.0, 3.1, etc. that I was used to seeing when the phone was JB'n. Did this message come up merely because I'm running OS 4.0, and Skype is planning to release an updated version to coincide with the public release of OS 4.0, or is there some truth to remnants of JB or old Skype plist files persisting through a clean restore?
I have a few apps I've paid subscriptions too (ForeFlight, MobiTV, etc.) but I plan on doing a clean install of iOS 4 when I get my iPhone 4. Is there any way I can retain those subscriptions on a new install?
I've been speaking to AT&T reps for days now about this issue, and today one of them told me something different which hasn't been considered on these forums. It's probably nothing, but for those of you who are having really slow/spotty 3G browsing speeds even with 5 full bars of 3G, did you guys restore your iPhone 4 from a back up or did you set it up as a new iPhone? i don't know if there is any kind of relation between this and the issue, but it doesn't hurt to speculate. I myself have restored from a backup and I am experiencing this issue hardcore. The AT&T rep recommended that I restore the phone and set it up as a new iPhone. Is anyone who set up as a new phone also having this issue?
