My Xperia Mini Pro has just passed 12 months old, it is in pristine condition. Randomly, the speaker has stopped working, it hasn't been dropped or had contact with water. I can use the loudspeaker or handsfree kit but the internal speaker has stopped working. Could it be a software issue or is it likely to be a hardware one?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'll tell you there is no water damage or dropping of this phone. Its been workin like a champ up until tonight.. received a call and i couldn't hear anything, speakerphone works as normal, but the ear speaker does not. Anyone care to shed some light on how this could randomly happen w/o dropping or water damage?? Looks like i've got to change the whole midplate now.. which makes me extremely unhappy.

I tried the speaker test using "Home Back Back Home Back Home Home Back", but looks like the speaker is dead. There is absolutely no sound. It worked just fine around 2-3 in the morning then 16-17 hours later, I can't hear anything when people call or I call them, even when I check my voicemail. Only way I can hear is if I put it on speaker or use headphones. I've tried cleaning out the headphone jack and have gotten no luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just put made my first call with the BB. The speakerphone works fine, but the smaller speaker that goes against the ear doesn't work. It does work on my wife's 9000 (bought at the same time from the same place). I've tried the increasing the volume button on the side. My profile is set to normal. I've tried going into the phone application and making sure mute was off, and default volume set to 75%.It does work normally when I put headphones in during a call.Any suggestions, or is it defective?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI plugged my x10 into my Macbook Pro with Sony Bridge for Mac installed and the touchscreen suddenly stopped working. When I unplugged the cable the touchscreen remained unresponsive but then after a while it became responsive for half a minute before going off again. All this time the phone keeps telling me I've got new email coming through but I don't know where that email is. Now I'm getting texts but I cannot read them.
How can I get my touchscreen to work again? This appears to be a software problem? Can I read or export SMS messages without using the touchscreen?
I would erally need to back up my SMS if I need to wipe the phone but so far have not found a way to do this. I have never updated the system of the phone so I assume it's still in the original factory OS.
i installed the bluetooth file transfer app from the market and it worked fine for a couple of goes, then my 6 yr old got hold of my phone and i am not sure if he altered some sort of setting and it is now not sending out files (it says on the recieving phone, - connection dropped- ) it is also now not connecting to other phones. Is there anyway of finding out what had changed so i can fix it, would a reset work if so how to do it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have the BlackBerry Style, and am with Telus. I haven't upgraded to the newest OS but I have the one right before the current one. I have lots of free space on my phone and have no other apps than the ones that were installed on default.I have had absolutely no problems with my phone at all since day one, on Febuary 2011, until this evening when I came home from easter dinner and opened my phone (it was at half battery) and it made a beep and all of the displays went black and the keyboard light went off. I tried rebooting with removing the battery and placing it back in but nothing happened. I plugged it into my charger and I got a little red/orange light on the top right corner and left it for a half hour.
I returned after that and opened it to see if it reset and the internal and extrenal screens were black, no light on the keyboard, and the light had gone out when I took the charger out. Thinking it may have just been turned off I tried the power button to no avail, and then tried the battery reset again with the same results. I have tried this a few times now and the closest thing I have had to see it working is on the internal screen a little grey picture in the center of a battery with a lightning bolt in the middle, which is also grey. I assumed that it may have just been dead and was not getting power so I plugged it in when I saw the image and it just stayed like that for another hour until I tried to reset it once again. Nothing seems to be working. It doesn't make any noises or anything, it is almost as if all power to the LCD screens and keyboard is dead, but foor some reason, sometimes the light on the top right corner of the external screen will stay solid.

The SD card and SIM card is fine the phone just won't turn on. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. Now, sometimes the external speakers of the mobile phone stop working and for the same, I went to Nokia care 3 times (infact, this happened thrice) they rectified it, but it has started again. My phone is still in warranty but I am afraid that once the warranty is over, they will start charging for the service. Is there any way to get a new phone from Nokia ?

So there I was, watching video on my iPhone 4s without the headphones in when all of a sudden there was no sound coming out of the right side speaker! I tried to clean the speaker with no luck. I powered the phone off and on, I reset the phone to the factory settings, I even tried to restore the phone from iTunes via my computer. All attempts to fix this failed, I would also like to add that this phone has never seen a drop of water nor has it ever been dropped on anything harder then a pillow. I treat this phone like a new born baby, so why would my speaker suddenly stop working after two and a half months? I've spent hours on the internet looking for solutions, and it doesn't even appear to have a "mute" option just options to turn sound on/off and up/down.

After the first day, the external speaker stopped working. I can hear sound via the earbuds, but it does not ring, nor have any audible notifications. Did hard reset, soft reset, several times, and still no sound. I have a replacement on order, but they won't have it to me for another week or more! Imagine having a phone that doesn't ring for over two weeks.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy sensation is a few months old and loud speaker has stopped working. I took it to Vodafone who did factory reset and software upgrade which made no difference.
I contacted HTC and they sent the phone back saying its been water damaged and sent me a picture of red indicator. Now I can confirm that phone has always been its case and never been put in water, there are no signs of water mark etc.
HTC are not listening and I don't have insurance. I have asked customer services to raise it further.
I might be barking up the wrong tree. Is it worth doing anything else, may be contacting Vodafone again.
I have bought the Atrix 4G in February 2012 and my warranty has expired in JuneRecently the earpiece speaker on my phone has stopped working and the local motorola service center advised me to replace the flex cable that houses the earpiece speaker. Can someone let me know where I can procure this flex cable in the US? Is it available for online ordering?

I can not hear it ringing when someone call, but if I see someone calling and I answer the call they can hear me and I can hear them fine. I also can't not put the caller on speaker at all , I also can't hear my music or gaming apps. When I turn my phone on or off it does not make a sound as well. I have turned the phone off and turned it off by pressing the top button and home button at the same time and that did not work. I checked the volume and the mute button and the volume is up all the way.
