View 6 RepliesI got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been facing this problem this the last couple of months.. whenever I travel and get into the roaming network, my phone doesnt connect to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because of which i cannot use BBM or any other internet based application. As soon as i am in local network, it gets connected to BIS. I have tried everything..data service while roaming is on.. have switched off phone, removed sim and restarted. Last evening I visited Vodafone store, the guy put my sim in another blackberry device and it got connected to BIS. However its doesnt get connected on my device. He suggested me to do a data wipe which I did, still am unable to connect to BIS.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a bold 9000 and I can not connect to the internet. Carrier is AT&T and I live in the North East (NYC area). Worked fine up until yesterday (Jan 25). Now gmail, facebook, browser - none work. I've tried the battery pull, turning on/off the network, run a diagnostic test from mobile network options. In the mobile network test i get the volling anomolies "Blackberry PIN-PIN: No" and it says can't connect to my email (gmail).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased BB Bold 9000 from [URL]Order No 3620273, complaint no. 3718457 etc.Naap tol after so many calls and complaints declared warranty as only 6 months. BB service centre at Jammu (J&K State, India) is refusing to service this set as it is outdated. Naaptol is also giving standard reply that they will call back in 24-48 hours. No reply from naaptol no action by Blackberry service centre.

I have to take the battery out at night to charge because the usb charging port is broken, and when I put it back in the following morning I get the following error message: "Supplementary Service Error: General Error. Along with getting the error, I'm being charged anywhere form $0.60 to $1.10 each morning. I've tried restoring the phone and deleting all the third party applications. I was hoping someone could solve this problem for me.And one other thing, it just started doing this. I've had the phone for about four months, and I just recently started getting the error.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently got a BB bold that's unlocked from ATT. I do not have the Blackberry plan, I only have T-zones. I am able to surf the web and such using opera mini. All my weather and internet radio applications work fine. The only thing I can not get to work is MMS. I can receive but not send. Says no mms service book.I found a generic T-zones service book that I installed to the phone using DM. Unfortunately the service book does not contain the MMS book. Where can I find or add this service book? There must be a way. Is is possible for someone else to send me their service book and have that work?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have been unable to connect to blackberry services when using wi-fi.everything works normal using the mobile network.when i check the connection status while using wifi it says blackberry internet is not connected however i can access Internet and browse the internet while all this is going on. its just the blackberry services which are affected.

All went well, except when I open up the Desktop Manager to sync my calendar and address book, DM gives me the following error message: The default service for your device's "address book" is no longer available. The new service for synchronization is "blahblah@wrongemail.com"
I have five email addresses linked to my Bold (yahoo, gmail, live, etc) and I want it to sync with my work address book and calendar (not blahblah@wrongemail.com). It had no problem doing this before the wipe...
I have gone in to options/advanced options/default services and changed both options (CICAL and CMIME) to my work email address, but I still get the error message. I even went so far as to delete all five email addresses and start adding them from scratch...making sure that I added my work email address first...figuring that may set it as default.

I love the Curve, but am starting to have issues with long periods of watching the hour glass, but also mechanical age issues, like a metal pin that poked through the 5/D key.My only complaint with the Curve, other than the amount of time it spends thinking about itself, is that I could never use weatherbug or any of the weather apps, they just ground everything to a halt.

I had used a handheld upgrade link only to discover this message: BlackBerry® Device Software v4.5 is not supported by your wireless service provider. Now the reason why this is complicated is because I do not know what the service provider is for the phone. I am simply attempting to restore it. I have made several attempts at wiping and factory resetting via JL_Cmder but all attempts have failed because the program cannot hold a connection with the Bold. Can someone please help?

It is originally a telstra device (it's covered in Telstra logos and on start up it has the telstra splash screen). I purchased it from a man in New Zealand, who himself purchased it from the person who had it on your network, so finding any information about the original owner is nigh impossible.
I just want to know if the unique blackberry PIN is still connected to your company. I have the PIN and IMEI numbers registered to me with the my current carrier (telecom new zealand), also as a precaution I have upgraded the OS to my carrier branded version 5.0.0.592 (bundle 1004,platform 5.2.0.57), (this is the latest version my carrier supports).
Interesting things to note is that when connected to a wireless (wi-fi) connection with internet access, many of the applications can also access the internet. I am not connecting to any enterprise server, the VPN settings are disabled, the APN settings are set to direct.telecom.co.nz with blanks for both the username and password. I have tried deleting and resending the service books many times (each time followed by a"hard-reset"). I have tried wiping the device several times. The dataservices option in the mobile network options menu is turned on, is reading as the correct carrier, and is tuned to the right network mode (3G & 2G).
The browser option, under advanced options, which in turn is within the options menu, has only one setting, "Default browser configuration:" which is showing a blank space, and does not give the option to change it.The exact error says that
"Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries.Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device.
I have problem with upgrading my Bold to OS 5.0. I already try upgrade through DM and Apploader.exe (removing vendor.xml) but no luck so far. It seems that the new OS won't pop up for some reason.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a noob so please forgive me ..i had a booting error yesterday where the red light stuck on with a black screen and i had to pull the battery (luckily for me it revived) sadly after it loaded i realized i lost all my contacts however this happened when my brother soft reset it when it was connected via usb to the pc so i guess some current interference buged the loading process.
Then today i soft reset my bold i got a white screen with app loader i believe 523 error reset or something, i cant quite remember but i think thats it however i hit either the end key or the enter key (sorry to so vague guys i got scared) ....after i pressed those buttons it began the reboot cycle ...loaded up and has been fine ever since..just wondering if you think i should upgrade my Os or just leave it i am on 4.6.0.162...
after i downgrade to 4.6,i can't upgrade back to 5.0 i've tried to download a 5.0 from blackberry.com or through applicant loader to upgrade ,but still can not upgrade to 5.0
