So my z3's screen broke (again), and I need to get all my information off there, most importantly contacts and text messages. I plug in a usb cable to my pc. The phone comes up in my computer. I open it. There's nothing there. Just the message "this folder is empty."
I have hidden files set as visible, I've tried 3 different usb cords, and reset both devices several times. WHAT DO I DO?
My Storm fell and the screen cracked and now it only displays a black screen. I am able to get it recognized with the Blackberry Destop Software but in order to fully access the device I need to unlock it, which I can't because the screen is broken. What can I do in order to access the documents that are NOTin the media card?

I don't want to shell out money to have it fixed (+-$100) because I'm almost due for a phone upgrade on my contract.I tried using the data cable but when I connect it to the phone I can't choose data transfer or ovi suite etc. since the screen input is broken.Is there any way to access the (internal) memory of the phone? I basically just need the photos and contacts.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI shattered the screen on my Nexus 6 the other day and the screen is totally black, just a few bleeps of light if I connect/disconnect to computer, that's it. The problem is, when I connect to my computer via USB, the Nexus 6 shows up in my drives, but there's no files showing at all so I can't download all the pics/videos off of it, it only charges. I assume this is because it's not in MTP mode? But I can't switch it on since I can't even see the screen. The phone itself works apart from the screen being dead, rings for calls, texts, charges and even bluetooth connects to my car when I start it up. I just can't view the files on my computer to download them .
how to get all these pics/videos off of this thing? I have my daughters last 6 months of her life on this phone, including her recent birthday part etc...etc.. and I really need to get all that downloaded somehow before I even think of sending it in for a replacement. One thing that came to mind is mirroring it to another device which I read online, possibly with Chromecast or via another type of cable but I'm not sure if I could actually operate the phone in order to put it into MTP mode that way though.
I broke my Sony Xperia screen , havent backed up anything, however I can still access my data when plugging it in via my laptop. The one thing is: I wanted to find my 'notes' on the note app but I can't find them in the internal storage or the SD card. I really, really need them because they have some important information on them. Where can I access them?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I turn my Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon phone on there is blackness all over the lock screen, where the numbers are is completely blacked out. There is no way for me to enter my password. I want to connect it to my windows PC via USB cable to backup contacts/text messages/emails/documents I've created/photographs. My verizon cloud is full so there are some things on the phone that I need to backup. It seems like every software I have tried needs you to enter the phone password first and enable USB debugging mode. I cannot do this because the screen is so blacked out I cannot see any of the numbers, the OK button, or the delete button.

I got the insurance replacement phone on Monday, and realized that my SMS backup app decided to save the backed up texts on the phone's internal memory instead of the sd card, like you would expect it to, as you are backing things up in case something like this happens...I went to retrieve the file from the internal storage by connecting it to my computer and here is the weird thing that happens when i do that:
When I go into Computer on Windows 7, it shows the motocast removable drive, and two other ghosted removable drives, that would normally be the MOTO and sd card drives, but for some reason it says that they ccannot be opened because a disk needs to be inserted into the drives..I have no idea what I can do to get around this and access the internal storage.
I've had my Xperia Z3 from T-Mobile for the last 8-9 months, no issues till, well, today when I decided to test if the phone was really waterproof (1.5m for 30min as per the specs). Verified all slots were tightly closed and used for about 15 minutes taking some pictures and video underwater (approx 50cm deep), no problem at all. After those 15 minutes however the screen stopped responding to inputs. It was still displaying content though (camera), just not responding to inputs.
I was able to reboot the phone by pressing power + volume up for a few seconds. The phone seems to be rebooting fine but the screen is not displaying anything now. I can see the screen is backlit, and if I press the volume up or down buttons I hear the usual beeps, but the screen is not displaying anything at all.
My biggest issue now, besides what seems to be water damage on my display, is that I need to recover my phone data (images and some docs) as soon as possible. I tried connecting it to my PC via USB to access the internal storage and get what I needed, but my phone has a swipe code and since the screen is not displaying anything I can't unlock it for my PC to see it.
I have a X10 mini with a broken screen, and I want to read my messages.The problem is PC Companion is asking me to slide down the screen and choose "USB Connection".

The phone still works, however inside the LCD display has some strange black lines and a piece of the display remains black. I sent several emails through the SE website. The first reaction was that i had sent an email to the wrong support, and that they have forwarded my message to the appropriate support dept. From that request i haven't heard anything yet ( 1 week ago). Since i bought my phone online, the phone originated from Hong Kong. So i sent an email to Hong Kong support. They replied to update the software using the SEUS. I sent them a reply that updating the software didn't help, but i have not received another reply since. I also sent another support request to what i believe is the right support for my location (Aruba, Caribbean), but i didn't get a reply, not even a confirmation of my support request.

Now it's almost exam time and I have lots of notes on it in The memos. Is it possible to get these memos?I connected it to my computer to move The data from my phone to my laptop, but it had a password and as people with passwords know, you need to enter it twice to connect. My phone is broken, and there is a diary app that i logged each day of the progress of my son. Its very precious to me and i wont give up on getting to that app. Tge screen is broken, tried 3 replacement screens and it wont turn on. Tried new batteries too. Plugged it into a computer and it wont come up. There is a slight buzz sound when its plugged in, not sure what that means. All i need is the entries on that app.

I can't seem to find settings to access the screen menu when on a call, it won't let me change volume or anything! I was able to set the power button to hang up when on a call but the screen stays dark and I can't access it at all.

I've been waiting for this to be added for to long.

I've forgot the screenlock pin of my Sony Xperia Z2, the smartphone is stock so i don't have the bootloader unlocked so i can't go in recovery mode.
From Sony PC Companion i can't do nothing because i must unlock the phone.
From Flashtool i can't do nothing because i have USB Debug Mode set to OFF and i can't enable it if i can't unlock the smartphone. Otherwise if I can set the phone in Flashmode or Fastboot Mode.
Just went to check how the battery was doing and I got the above message.
I've tried restarting and also clearing the general app cache.
I recently broke the screen on my nokia 5000. I don't care about the rest, I just need to be copy my girlfriend's number over from my phone onto my sim card.
I can get to her name in the contacts menu, as I've managed to call her with the screen broken, but am not sure how to do anything from there.

They need repair estimate. Called Samsung and they only have one 3rd party repair shop in Montreal. So I have to ship it to them,and then wait for 2 weeks to get an estimate. Telus said, it takes 2-6 weeks for the process.I am going out of the country in 3 weeks or less and wanted to get a better timing.
