I have a aggravating problem that started about a month ago. My phone and battery are not communicating. I am running 5.0 It began one day, I thought I was getting great battery life. It turned out the indicator was stuck at 56% . Now it just stays at 100% . Battery life is normal, I can go all day. How much battery is left. When it's done it dies.
When I go to Battery in settings it says battery data not available. I am sure this is a software issue. Whether it is a app or the OS? After the factory reset I was very careful about what I installed. Recently installed Battery Dr. It stays at 100% as well.
Here is what I've tried.
1. Bought a new battery. This seemed to correct at first, but now both battery act the same.
2. Did a factory date reset. Again this seemed to be the fix. But the issue came back.
3. Wiped the data cache. No real change.
Last night i put my phone on the charger and when I unplugged it in the morning the battery symbol showed 100% but still showed the charging symbol and stated it was charging. When I tapped on the battery symbol is had the graph but stated "battery usage data isn't available". I shut down/re-started and it still shows "battery usage data isn't available". How can I get things back to normal.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi've got my Sensation XE 2 weeks now... and its a very nice phone, but some things are oddly wrong :S
first thing is, i looked at 3G watchdog thismorning, and my device had been eating 200 MB's of internet WHILE I WAS SLEEPING this is not normal use and i have no clue what caused it (i installed 3g watchdog pro this morning)
second thing is, my android system process seems to be eating away battery life rapidly, its using up to 40% cpu (according to watchdog) and com.htc.bg is using roughly 20% okay, i just saw something happening, i restored a backup, watched my cpu, and then my virus scanner said something about com.android.vending being installed, and i saw my android system process skyrocket in cpu usage
yes, i have rooted my phone, and yes i deleted some system applications (like facebook, htc facebook, and some other crappy useless stuff, nothing that should harm my phone)
My data usage on my iphone 4s has all of a sudden increased and my battery life wont last longer than half a day to a day, i dont know if there is some kind of virus that is forcing downloads or is it an error with the ios?

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy husband and I both have the iPhone 3GS. My husband's phone however will count on the phones data usage 20mb over night while it is charging and on our wifi. it is counting this towards his 3g usage and not wifi. We have already had APPLE reset everything at the store. it is still doing it. so he has to turn off all cellualar data usage at night or it keeps racking up the usage even though it is on our wifi. I plug my phone in at night as well and mine is not doing this

View 9 Replies View RelatedOne difference between GB and ICS is that there is no GPS icon in the status bar when GPS is switched on - unless an app that uses it is running. Does this mean that the GPS uses no power outside of the app? There is no GPS power usage indicator in settings > battery to check if this is the case.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn my Xperia z2 battery usage is showing wifi on but i did not turned it on at any time.
I dont know what is happening in the software but it is annoying to see that wifi is turned on at all the time.
I recently got the Xperia Mini Pro and last week, I noticed my data usage (according to Data Monitor) had gone up from 23mb to 60mb while I wasn't even using the phone. It happened again this week, going from 70mbish to 100mb. I phoned my t-mobile who told me my allowance is actually 250mb (Thank God!) but they don't know the reason why my data usage is jumping up like that. So they reffered me to Sony Mobile's support team who I haven't phoned yet.since I wanted to try the forums.
I have background traffic turned off and everytime I lock my phone, Data traffic is turned off by Juice Defender...so I don't get how this is happening? Could there be an application using the internet at such huge amounts? (all I use is Whatsapp)Or is Data Monitor not accurate?
Today she showed me that her lock screen was lagging every time she swapped to unlock it. This is kind of annoying especially for a dual core phone. We did find out that a quick reboot fixes the lagging for a while. Is there a fix for this besides rebooting the phone?ssue #2While looking at the battery usage on the Razr, I noticed that Android OS is using the majority of the battery this seems incorrect. I have checked my original droid and other android phones, yet I have never seem the OS use more or anywhere close to the display usage.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI checked out my data usage on the att website and it turns out surprisingly that i consistently use under 200mb a month.
1. I beejive im every work day for at least 2 hours on edge(don't tell my boss) but it suprisingly only comes out to only about 4mbs per day (if i used 3g would the data consumption be higher?)
2. I maybe use slingplayer 1 day a month on 3g (sad) about 10mbs i think
3. I grab email manually by opening up the mail app maybe twice a day max.
Do you think i should switch asap? or is it best recommended to view iphone 4 data usage first in case i upload 720p video (which i doubt they will let you do)
Since 2/23, I have had massive data usage at random times. 1GB here and there, sometimes in the middle of the night. My Data Sense shows that the "Restore data" app has used 8.17 GB in the last two days. All of my other apps are using negligible amounts of data. What is the "Restore data" app, and how do I tell it to stop using so much data?
One additional bit of info: 2/23 was also the date that the Microsoft Health app updated. I use a MS Band. It seems like there may have been some type of update pending on the band. When I called Verizon's tech support, they said that the pending update might have something to do with the massive data usage. We completed the update to the Band, and they said to give it another day to see if the data usage continues. What this "Restore data" app is, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Band.
I have t-mobile as my provider, and I have their new limited $15/month data plan with my HTC HD2.I was wondering whether I can use wifi without data usage going towards my data plan.I expect that the 200MB limit will be reached pretty quickly if I cannot use wifi to balance things out.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new T-Mobile S6 Edge and love the phone, but one thing I have not figured out is why I still get background mobile data usage even though I have disabled mobile data and set "restrict background data". Both tuiService and OS services are downloading approximately 100K at a time periodically over mobile data throughout the day even though I have a wifi connection.

seems a bit odd but my phone uses a lot of battery when i'm checking facebook, reading the first page of news updates and posting a status takes about 5% battery. i know setting the network mode to GSM only helps a lot but slows internet down and i hate waiting lol , so i'm just wondering if there will any improvments to this in future updates? 5% battery for 5 mins on facebook isn't spectactuar.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had my original 2G iPhone for three years before updating to the iPhone 4. During that three years, I only used about 4 GB of cellular data, so I thought the whole "no more unlimited data" business was blown out of proportion.
Of course, with my old iPhone, I didn't have 3G, so I didn't stream a lot over the cellular network. I decided to try streaming music in my car for a few days on my one-hour-each-way commute to work and back.
I used it for about a week, before switching back to my iPod. I just checked my data usage, and in the three weeks or so that I've had my new iPhone, I have used 4 GB of data already!
That's right, in three weeks, I used the data that I took three years to use on my old iPhone! My data usage multiplied by 52!
That's crazy! Streaming certainly does make a huge difference.
How much data do you use? I just thought I would pose the question.
I'm trying to figure out if I really need unlimited data or if I should choose a cheaper plan. Problem is I don't know which is my true data usage. The first is from the "Settings" app and the second is from At&t's app.
