IPhone :: Data Usage Extremly High With No Reason And Battery Life Draining Very Fast?
Mar 29, 2012
My data usage on my iphone 4s has all of a sudden increased and my battery life wont last longer than half a day to a day, i dont know if there is some kind of virus that is forcing downloads or is it an error with the ios?
i recently got my new htc one m8 and been using it for one month the battery got worse now i go to sleep in the night with 80% battery on my phone and wake up in the morning with 58% or even less what should i do i got warranty for my phone
I am currently with Vodafone in the uk and about 6 months ago I recieved a text message saying I was close to my data limit of 750mb and that they would provide me with an extra 250mb charged at £5 per shot. I downloaded a data usage app to monitor my usage and it was climbing at a ludicrous rate. As imaginable when I contacted Vodafone to inform them of the issue they didn't want to know and were not the slightest bit interested in the problem at all. I decided to return the phone to apple who after literally 5 minutes of using the phone said that there was defiantly and issue with the handset and that due to it still being under warrenty they would replace it free of charge.
Now this problem seems to have reoccurred where as I very nearly went over my limit last month I put this down to playing draw something through 3G and susiquently deleted the app. I decided to reset my data usage on the iPhone I have this morning already used 20mb + in just under an hour. It isn't as through it climbs when not being used it just seems to use loads or recieved data when I'm surfing the net.
I'm from Canada, on the Bell 3G network, and have noticed the last few months that my data usage is spiking without reason (I never download anything on the 3G network aside from email messages and a little web surfing). I've had this phone for 2.5 years, always on the same 500MB plan, and have never used much more than 200MB in any given month. Now it's using that up in the first week.
In an effort to try and isolate the spiking, I downloaded the Data Man app, and noticed yesterday that I went from less than 1MB in downloaded usage to over 160MB in the course of the afternoon! I was at home, connected to WiFi, streaming radio off the new CBC app for a couple of hours over dinner. How does a streamed audio signal over WiFi use 160MB in a couple of hours? What am I missing here?
I charge my iphone at least 2 times in a day. I have an iphone 4s running 5.1 and I am so disappointed because my my battery keeps draining even if I am not using my iphone, seriously im thinking in replacing the battery. I charge my iphone to 100% 20min later without using it 80%.
i have an iphone n there is a problem wiv my battrey that everytym i charge it it drains really fast!! n its really hard when we r out!! my phone is styll under warranty!
I have a Iphone 5s. The phone charges really slow, and dies really fast. I am barely on it now since this happen. I tried restoring at home, and also resetting. I took a trip to Apple two days ago, and they ran the diagnostic. He said the battery is healthy but something is wrong with the firmware or software. After he restored it but it still is doing the SAME thing.
iphone 4s battery draining extremly fast, how annoying is that, Battery will be drain out within 12 hrs and I just usually watch 30 mins video (not using 3G/wifi) and 10mins on Phone . I always turn off my Siri, Auto Detect Time Zone, 50% Brightness, NO background Apps are running and Mail is manually updated.
this is my first Iphone (4S). I have been an avid Droid user for years and always had great luck with them (battery, OS, ect). So I decided a week ago March 25th 2012 to take the plunge and get an iphone family plan with my significant other, assuming "what the heck, everyone says the battery life is the best thing about the phone". From day one this phone has been Not only is my phone affected, but my girlfriend's same model phone is the same exact way. So let me get to it already:I consider myself a tech-savy person and thought hey I can figure this out, man have I been wrong, along with 98% of 4S users. So the phone came stocked with iOS 5.0.1 I think. After suffering bad battery life for two days,
So I bought my iphone 4s like 3 Months ago and 2 days ago was my bday. The Story was my friends borrowed my Iphone 4s just for Browsing some websites they wanna look at and the next day, my Iphone 4s Battere suddenly Drained so fast. I noticed that (I Think) my Iphone won't Turn into Standby mode because when I open (General -> Usage -> Time Since last full charge) The Usage and the Standby have the same Minutes, so its like my Iphone is Running all the time and won't go into Standby mode. It's like some Apps or Something is stuck and make my Iphone running all day, but I already check apps that runs (by double click the home button) but there's no apps running (NOTHING!).
My battery is draining insanely fast - I've turned off all location services and background app refresh settings yet usage still went up by more than an hour in 25 minutes
Since a couple of weeks ago my battery started to drain very-very fast. It used to last all day long, now it's over before lunch. I checked the Battery Replacement Program and my battery serial is not included.Â
I also ran all the recommendations in URL... but it is still the same. My only guess is that some updated app is taking away the battery but don't have a clue of which one.Â
My iphone was working well and one day it started to drain really really fast. almost 1% per 3 minutes, without using any app. I've done everything i have to do to improve my battery life:Touch ID, Location Services, Notifications, Background App,Brightness All of them disabled. So , i made every kind of restore that exists (network settings, without any Security or Icloud copy). I've disabled my Icloud Account too. and the problem persists, i really dont know what to do.Â
I bought my Iphone 5S, in December 2013, so i cannot imagine that my battery drain in that way. In 4 hours , i have to charge it again, with a minimal use.
My iPhone gets hot after 15 or so minutes whilst on Skype phone conversation and normal phone conversation and it makes it impossible to talk for longer than that, this has happened for a long time now and my warranty has expired. Also my phone can barely last more than an hour if I use it to download and view my PDF files from my inbox using 3G and a quarter of my battery is drained just from listening to it for an hour.
Lately I've been leaving 3G on and the battery seems to drain rapidly fast, even when I have it locked it drains quiet a lot and sometimes it also lags. I have a iPhone 3GS and I was thinking whether erasing and restoring it back to normal would work maybe.
I got my new iphone 4s two days ago and I took my phone off charge this morning at 7.45 and already at 12 its down to 60%. I have turned off location settings, reduced the brightness, turned of push and notifications. And as I whatapp I can literally watch the battery go down. Should I take it to have it looked at, or is that normal apple battery standard?
Recently I notice that my iPhone 5s's battery is draining so fast that even on standby, usage time is still running. I already tried I read in the web about restoring, restating, disabling but nothing seems to work.
Everyone always says that using bluetooth etc can be a major drain on your battery power. I want to know exactly how much of a drain on battery power using bluetooth is. If the iPhone were to be subjected to constant bluetooth data exchange for, lets say, 1 hour, how much of an affect would this have on power.
i have an iphone 4S in white and it has been running very slow, freezes a lot and the battery is very very bad. can i go to an apple store Examples: Doncaster or Chadstone and give them the one i currently have and get another one free of charge, i have heard this is possible?? however i am on a 24 month contract??
This started about a week ago and has gotten so bad that it takes 6-7 hours to recharge from 30% battery life with minimal use while plugged in. There are no apps running from what I can see.Â
So I've noticed a problem with my iPhone 4 draining itself...even when I'm not using the phone at all. A couple of nights ago, I charged my phone up to 100% and left it in standby overnight. I woke up the next morning and the battery was at 53%. Last night, I charged it up to 100% again and did not touch the phone at all until this morning. When I woke up, the battery was at 83% and it reported 19 minutes of usage even though I did not touch the phone at all.
But it doesn't drain itself all the time. Sometimes standby battery life is great but never excellent. Then when I use the phone (safari over 3G or wi-fi, ipod, light gaming, etc.) the battery drains at about 1% per minute. Is this normal?...all of this continues to happen after I've restored and set up as a new phone multiple times. Anyone else having these problems? Think it's a hardware issue? I'm a little jealous of all the other iPhone 4 users out there who report stellar battery life.
My battrery has been running low quickly . For instance, I charged it yesterday and when it was done charging I made a phone call. I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?
what is the reason for fast discharge of battery in Lumia 710? I cannot get my mobile battery for more than 5hrs even though i optimized all the settings. I'm a student so i only use my mobile for checking messages and few calls not more than 10-15mins a day. on below average use of mobile i cannot get the battery for not more than 5hrs. my mobile SW is upto date and its version is 1600.3031.8773.12121. And the major problem is i cannot share my files via bluetooth.
I am a new Blackberry user. I have only had my Tour for about a month. The Tour has been amazing and ran really well up till about 2 days ago. At that time it started to take at least 30 seconds to acknowledge I did anything. I would move the scroll ball and it would take 30 seconds to move. I would click on my text icon and it would take a minute to load my texts i would click on a new text and it would take 30 seconds to load it. I had to pull my battery out and put it back (6 - 8 min restart of the phone..) at minimum of 5 times throughout the day for it to even run. That is when I started noticing that it was also draining my battery like no other. I fully charged my batter yesterday afternoon/evening and unplugged it, when to bed (didn't use it except for maybe 10 outgoing and incoming texts) slept from 12am to 630am and my phone is DEAD! I didn't have ANY apps running, the phone was just on and not in use - whatsoever. Does anyone know why or know what to do? We all know how "helpful" tech support can be, so I'm trying to avoid calling them by coming here.
My device battery draining so first. Its like 2/3 hours on screen time but stand by time is fair (like day long). Using lolipop 5.0.1 ... If it shows last 3 hour use 9% means last 3 hour screen time was zero.
