Oct 19, 2013Today I found an unknown battery drain right after I charged my phone to 100%. I didn't use it at all but the battery decreased 5%. Here's some screenshot

Oct 30, 2011One difference between GB and ICS is that there is no GPS icon in the status bar when GPS is switched on - unless an app that uses it is running. Does this mean that the GPS uses no power outside of the app? There is no GPS power usage indicator in settings > battery to check if this is the case.

Jul 26, 2010I currently own a Blackberry Bold 9900, which is about one year old. Over the past year I have accumulated a lot of pictures and videos, then suddenly I received a message saying the memory is full. I then connected my device to my MacBook and removed all media, however I still get a message saying that more than half of my memory is being taken up by something. I have deleted all user installed applications apart from the following; Facebook, twitter, facebook messenger, whatsapp), I have checked the memory usage for these applications and together they don't total over around 50MB.
I have backed up my phone and was about to perform a security wipe, however a bit worried when it said e-mails wont be sendable or receivable after the security wipe.
IPhone :: Unknown Reason For Data Usage Spiking On 3GS?
Apr 4, 2012I'm from Canada, on the Bell 3G network, and have noticed the last few months that my data usage is spiking without reason (I never download anything on the 3G network aside from email messages and a little web surfing). I've had this phone for 2.5 years, always on the same 500MB plan, and have never used much more than 200MB in any given month. Now it's using that up in the first week.
In an effort to try and isolate the spiking, I downloaded the Data Man app, and noticed yesterday that I went from less than 1MB in downloaded usage to over 160MB in the course of the afternoon! I was at home, connected to WiFi, streaming radio off the new CBC app for a couple of hours over dinner. How does a streamed audio signal over WiFi use 160MB in a couple of hours? What am I missing here?

Aug 19, 2014For the past couple of days I've been having some strange battery problems. I can have my phone on and the battery is at 100%. Then I'll shut it off and turn it back on a few hours later and my battery would drop a significant percentage like 30% or so. It doesn't just do this when the phone is fully charged it will do it when the battery is at any percentage.

Jul 26, 2015I have a aggravating problem that started about a month ago. My phone and battery are not communicating. I am running 5.0 It began one day, I thought I was getting great battery life. It turned out the indicator was stuck at 56% . Now it just stays at 100% . Battery life is normal, I can go all day. How much battery is left. When it's done it dies.
When I go to Battery in settings it says battery data not available. I am sure this is a software issue. Whether it is a app or the OS? After the factory reset I was very careful about what I installed. Recently installed Battery Dr. It stays at 100% as well.
Here is what I've tried.
1. Bought a new battery. This seemed to correct at first, but now both battery act the same.
2. Did a factory date reset. Again this seemed to be the fix. But the issue came back.
3. Wiped the data cache. No real change.

Feb 28, 2011Since the latest OS-Update to 6.0 Bundle 2949 the usage of the battery is like an iPhone, only 1-2 days life time with a full loaded battery. Before this update, I was able to use a full loaded battery for about one week.

Feb 1, 2010I installed it last night because it looked interesting. Similar to the MobileMe Find My iPhone but free. Anyways, woke up today (8AM) to go to school. My classes are from 8:30AM-2:15PM. I only have a 1 hour break in which I listened to Slacker radio while I used library computer.
When my last class of the day came around, I saw my battery meter, 8%! It then died 5 minutes later without no use whatsoever except that 1 hour of Slacker Radio and that's all!Nothing was running in the background or anything! So I warn you guys if you install still that it will SEVERELY bring your battery down.

Jul 27, 2010Over the past week or so, I've noticed that my Iphone 4 battery seems to be depleting faster than it had been previously. I've also noticed that my usage time seems quite high, based on my actual usage.To test this a bit, I unplugged my phone at 100% this morning, confirmed that the "time since last full charge" counters were reset, and left my phone untouched for the next 3+ hours. After that time:
Standby: 2hrs, 41 minutes
Usage: 1hr, 13 minutes
Battery: 95%
I do have 3 email accounts configured, with the polling interval at 30 minutes. Push email is disabled.How would I have racked up 73 minutes of usage without touching the phone? I've tried rebooting the phone, but that didn't seem to have much effect...
Moto X (2014) :: Battery Usage Data Isn't Available
Dec 15, 2014Last night i put my phone on the charger and when I unplugged it in the morning the battery symbol showed 100% but still showed the charging symbol and stated it was charging. When I tapped on the battery symbol is had the graph but stated "battery usage data isn't available". I shut down/re-started and it still shows "battery usage data isn't available". How can I get things back to normal.

Apr 16, 2012recentley brought an iphone 4s ( 4 days ago) now phone only turns on after leaving it overnight with a reset. battery only holds it charge for 7 hrs from 100% with it in standby mode. phone will not switch on when pressing the on/off button as it should do , only with a reset. what a power hungrey machine this is. oh by the way i turned most things off before i left it for 7 hrs ie wifi, location, bluetooth, etc etc. . have re-installed software last night and still the same thing is occouring with this phone.

May 18, 2012Since iOS 5.0.1 I never had. Artery problem. But after recent upgrade to 5.1.1 I found that while using usual apps, including very simple like card game, my iPhone became very, uncomfortable hot near sim slot location. I was tried to reinstall sim card several times - no effect. Battery drain now terrible in active mode, about 1 percent per one or couple of minutes.

Nov 5, 2011I have a new e5. The battery drain over night ( over night= no usage ) is bad. Even with power saver mode on over night drain is about minimum 2 bars. Also unplug charger warning shows again long after charger has been disconnected.

i fully charged the battery since 2 hours ago and the battery now goes to 93% please i need help about that and i downloaded juice defender today to test it

Aug 21, 2014My iPhone 5 64GB is not working as well as I think it should be. After about 3 hours of usage (according to usage statistics in settings), which is just Facebook and web browsing, and 9 total hours of standby, the battery dies. This is mainly over 4G with medium brightness. Background App Refresh is off, most location services are off, Push emails are off, reduce motion is on. I have tried everything I have found online to try and fix this, but nothing has worked. On top of that, my iPhone was just replaced at an Apple Store, so I'm not really sure what it could be.
