Over the past week or so, I've noticed that my Iphone 4 battery seems to be depleting faster than it had been previously. I've also noticed that my usage time seems quite high, based on my actual usage. To test this a bit, I unplugged my phone at 100% this morning, confirmed that the "time since last full charge" counters were reset, and left my phone untouched for the next 3+ hours. After that time:
I do have 3 email accounts configured, with the polling interval at 30 minutes. Push email is disabled. How would I have racked up 73 minutes of usage without touching the phone? I've tried rebooting the phone, but that didn't seem to have much effect...
My iphone 4S drain the battery too fast.Bought the 23 dicember 2011, it has just 4 months of use and the battery should be gone? I think there is a great software problem.and Apple had to fix it definitevily. A product like this, with this price MUST CAN BE USED AT LEAST 2 DAYS IN ALL HIS FUNCTION!This is a device thinked to be connected everywhere at everytime, but the hardware seems not to follow this intent. I used the phone for calling, sms, web, mail and music, NO GAMESail has no push notification.Yesterday I've disabled all notification and some other things to see if the battery could be better, tried to not recover the old back-up
I charged Both my iphone 6 and my ipad (whichever one was new three years ago) at the same time to 100% i noticed not using both and looking at the batter my brand new iphone 6 battery is dying faster than my three year old iPad. They both run the latest IOS so if
I have iphone 5s and recently I upgraded it from ios 7.1.2 to ios 8.1.1. I noticed that iphone is heating when no hard processes (like programms or games) launched, and the battery discharges much faster.
Upgraded to iOS 5.1 a couple weeks ago and since then battery drain has been horendous. Have problems on my iPad 1, have problems on my iPhone 4S, but iPhone 4 seems not to be affected as badly. I have disabled options and disabled apps (though they should be paused and not draining the battery) to no avail. Disappointed and think I'll go back to my iPhone 4.
I charged my phone to 100% last night and unpluged it last night before going to bed. 10 hours later, when I got up, my battery had went down all the way to 68% and with no apps running in the background... All while my iPhone's currently running on IOS 5.1.1. I never had this problem with IOS 5.1, when the battery would only drop to around 97% overnight.
Noticed that the battery drains faster with Lollipop, lasts now 2/3 of the time compared to before upgrade. All battery saving settings are set as before.
I'm used to the fast battery drain on this phone, but today it started acting up. I charged it at work to 100%, I took it off the charger and immediately it dropped to 99%, 15-20 seconds later, 98%, a few seconds later, 97%. It's slowed down a little, but it's been 8 minutes and I'm at 92%. Nothing major running in the background, brightness is around 40%. I can't figure this out. I did a soft restart, still rapidly draining.
I got bold 9780 4 months before and I am using only for personal use.I didnt browse not even once .Hardly 30 min per day is my phone usage but still battery drains so faster. for every 6 hours i need to charge.
I am sure there are a lot of posts about this, but my question may be a little harder to find. I had issues with my phone and called warrenty so they sent me another one, I feel like the battery is draining a lot faster in this new phone, but its the same battery? Does that make sense? I didnt think it did...any suggestions
Few days ago i updated my phone software from 6.0 Bundle 1306 v6.0.0.359 to 6.0 Bundle 2475 v6.0.0.546. After the ugrade and reboot, i am facing problem with battery draining too quick. I removed all application but still facing very less battery life. i even charge my phone full and usage is same as with older version. Or shall i downgrade to previous version??
Out of nowhere today, my phones battery is dying faster than normal.I read the old posts about what to do, I close everything out by hitting menu..close, i erased all apps i never used, games i never used awhile ago and i never had a problem. I woke up this morning after charging it all night and had a full battery, i have only sent maybe 6 texts and had one BBM convo for 5 mins and closed it out after....i am doing a battery pull right now.any other suggestions? Maybe time for a new battery? Although I feel like this is still new.
My blackberry battery runs-down faster, I used a fully charged battery for just 15mins. I don't know whats wrong. My blackberry is Storm 1. I have just replaced the battery with new one, but its still doing the same thing.
I've done some google searches and really haven't found a definitive answer on this. I've been getting more excited about jumping onto the 4G bandwagon in early 2012. But I'm "HEARING" that LTE introduces a significanly fastert battery Drain. I currently have a DROID X and am able to get though mots of a day w/o having to recharge - minimal Phone use (maybe 4 calls a day), mostly web browsing, social networks, messaging, etc.
I've seen many people claim that enabling 'double tap to wake' will drain your battery faster. On the settings page where you enable this setting, Nokia even says "this reduces battery life". I tried to measure it myself. After doing a number of normal discharge cycles with the feature enabled, I did one with it disabled. I didn't change any other settings. I used the phone normally in both runs - very similar usage.
I found that disabling this setting produced no significant change in battery life. In both runs that I compared, my battery level was at about 20% after about 3 days. See the attached graphs for my results. The first graph is with the setting on. After just a little under 3 days it was very close to 20%. The second graph is with the setting off. After exactly 3 days it was a little above 20%. These results are not exactly the same but I don't think they're significantly different. Not as different as I was expecting.
I was running GB on my phone since I purchased. Battery life was fine. Used upto a complete day with normal usage and heavy usage lead me to end up around 12 - 15 hours. It is normal. After few day of usage (About 2 weeks) I found battery starts to drain faster. Ok then I gave a factory reset. Oh amazing, I got the battery life back same as when I purchased,After a month I recieved update of ICS. Wow it was fantastic. It gave me the creeps. My normal usage went a day + . after a week I feld the same battery drain issue. What I could guess? guessed it might be a problem of installing more and more apps. Ok from this point onward, I was aware and wanted to check it out. Gave a factory reset again. fueled the battery to its maximum.
Installed any software the I must need. Oh I could not believe. see the screen shot how my normal usage was.. (1 day + 19 H) same devil has came back after a week.Battery started to drain fast. See the screenshot I got now. It shows 50% usage for last 6-7 hours. As to my calculation depends on best usage, it shoule be only 20 to 30 percentage. what's the hell is going on ??
I finally broke down and installed the Atrix HD update yesterday. What a mistake. Prior to installing the update, I could drive from home to work and have the battery drop from 100% to 95% in about 20 minutes or so (which, is terrible as well). Today after installing the update my battery went from 100% to 87% in the same 20 minutes. I can't believe that an update that was presented good for battery life actually makes it worse! I can say however, that the performance of the phone is better (touch responses, less laggy, etc, but I am sure that is at the cost of battery life). Other than a hard reset is there anyway to get this update off of the the phone?
When I playing game or using internet explorer, it feel hot , then I stop playing and stop using phone, standby mode, it continue feeling hot and reduce battery life.
Curious how the battery is for everyone and just trying to see some metrics. Right now I'm at 80% battery with 1 hour 21 minutes of usage and 5 hour 56 minutes of standby.
I installed it last night because it looked interesting. Similar to the MobileMe Find My iPhone but free. Anyways, woke up today (8AM) to go to school. My classes are from 8:30AM-2:15PM. I only have a 1 hour break in which I listened to Slacker radio while I used library computer. When my last class of the day came around, I saw my battery meter, 8%! It then died 5 minutes later without no use whatsoever except that 1 hour of Slacker Radio and that's all!Nothing was running in the background or anything! So I warn you guys if you install still that it will SEVERELY bring your battery down.
-Wifi on for about 3 hours -1 exchange push email -Brightness about 40% -1-2 hours of games -An hour iPod -20 minutes 3G talk time -Texting/Checking twitter
recentley brought an iphone 4s ( 4 days ago) now phone only turns on after leaving it overnight with a reset. battery only holds it charge for 7 hrs from 100% with it in standby mode. phone will not switch on when pressing the on/off button as it should do , only with a reset. what a power hungrey machine this is. oh by the way i turned most things off before i left it for 7 hrs ie wifi, location, bluetooth, etc etc. . have re-installed software last night and still the same thing is occouring with this phone.
Since iOS 5.0.1 I never had. Artery problem. But after recent upgrade to 5.1.1 I found that while using usual apps, including very simple like card game, my iPhone became very, uncomfortable hot near sim slot location. I was tried to reinstall sim card several times - no effect. Battery drain now terrible in active mode, about 1 percent per one or couple of minutes.
Everyone always says that using bluetooth etc can be a major drain on your battery power. I want to know exactly how much of a drain on battery power using bluetooth is. If the iPhone were to be subjected to constant bluetooth data exchange for, lets say, 1 hour, how much of an affect would this have on power.
