Jun 28, 2010Curious how the battery is for everyone and just trying to see some metrics. Right now I'm at 80% battery with 1 hour 21 minutes of usage and 5 hour 56 minutes of standby.

View 12 RepliesI was just wondering what everyone else's experience with the battery life was. What's your best standby and usage time and was it with push email on or off?

I've seen quite a few screenshots where people's battery were saying 21 hours for estimated usage time remaining at 100%, and some have been getting 2 days of use, even if it's minimal. My question is how is that even possible, when after a full charge to 100%, my estimated usage time remaining is only 10 hours?? This is my 2nd S6 as the first one had a camera problem, but both only estimate 10 hours when full.

SInce yesterday I noticed that the usage time is equall to the standby time.

What gives? My usage is showing 30 hours as well as my stand by time, theyre exactly the same.I restarted the phone and now while they are different , they are still proportional with each other. After one minute of usage, both the usage and standby time increase.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4S and I charged my phone last night and unplugged it once it got to 100% then left it overnight for standby, it was around 98% and when I woke up, it dropped 20% down to 78%. when i checked my usage, my usage and standby times were exactly the same at 7 hours and 23 minutes. I powered off my phone and turned it back on, and it resumed as normally with the standby time usually being higher than usage.

I have problems with my iphone 3gs running on ios5.0.1, the battery usage and standby time are always equal. And it drains my battery way too fast, I disabled all the settings on my device, I also removed tweaks from cydia that for me causes the problem. The tweaks I have left are: SBrotator 5, zyphere, killbackground, nowplaying, activator, gravi board. But all of the tweaks that I mentioned are all disabled!
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone went from 100% to 0%. Just before it died, I checked the usage under general settings.
Usage time: 13hr 10min
Standby time: 14hr 28min
Does that mean that out of the 14 and half hours, I was constantly using my phone for over 13 hours?

In Settings/Usage the battery usage for Useage and standby are the same. This means the phone never goes into standby mode and reduces the battery time. I tried a resore in iTunes.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI installed it last night because it looked interesting. Similar to the MobileMe Find My iPhone but free. Anyways, woke up today (8AM) to go to school. My classes are from 8:30AM-2:15PM. I only have a 1 hour break in which I listened to Slacker radio while I used library computer.
When my last class of the day came around, I saw my battery meter, 8%! It then died 5 minutes later without no use whatsoever except that 1 hour of Slacker Radio and that's all!Nothing was running in the background or anything! So I warn you guys if you install still that it will SEVERELY bring your battery down.
how you would rate my phone's battery performance. My usage stats when my phone was at 1% battery were:
Usage: 7 hours 15 minutes
Standby: 16 hours 33 minutes
-Wifi on for about 3 hours
-1 exchange push email
-Brightness about 40%
-1-2 hours of games
-An hour iPod
-20 minutes 3G talk time
-Texting/Checking twitter
Over the past week or so, I've noticed that my Iphone 4 battery seems to be depleting faster than it had been previously. I've also noticed that my usage time seems quite high, based on my actual usage. To test this a bit, I unplugged my phone at 100% this morning, confirmed that the "time since last full charge" counters were reset, and left my phone untouched for the next 3+ hours. After that time:
Standby: 2hrs, 41 minutes
Usage: 1hr, 13 minutes
Battery: 95%
I do have 3 email accounts configured, with the polling interval at 30 minutes. Push email is disabled. How would I have racked up 73 minutes of usage without touching the phone? I've tried rebooting the phone, but that didn't seem to have much effect...
Just making this thread to see how your battery usage compares to everyone else. From a full charge:
82%
Usage: 1 Hour, 18 Minutes
Standby: 8 Hours, 12 Minutes
Only 3G on
recentley brought an iphone 4s ( 4 days ago) now phone only turns on after leaving it overnight with a reset. battery only holds it charge for 7 hrs from 100% with it in standby mode. phone will not switch on when pressing the on/off button as it should do , only with a reset. what a power hungrey machine this is. oh by the way i turned most things off before i left it for 7 hrs ie wifi, location, bluetooth, etc etc. . have re-installed software last night and still the same thing is occouring with this phone.

Since iOS 5.0.1 I never had. Artery problem. But after recent upgrade to 5.1.1 I found that while using usual apps, including very simple like card game, my iPhone became very, uncomfortable hot near sim slot location. I was tried to reinstall sim card several times - no effect. Battery drain now terrible in active mode, about 1 percent per one or couple of minutes.

Everyone always says that using bluetooth etc can be a major drain on your battery power. I want to know exactly how much of a drain on battery power using bluetooth is. If the iPhone were to be subjected to constant bluetooth data exchange for, lets say, 1 hour, how much of an affect would this have on power.

My iPhone 5 64GB is not working as well as I think it should be. After about 3 hours of usage (according to usage statistics in settings), which is just Facebook and web browsing, and 9 total hours of standby, the battery dies. This is mainly over 4G with medium brightness. Background App Refresh is off, most location services are off, Push emails are off, reduce motion is on. I have tried everything I have found online to try and fix this, but nothing has worked. On top of that, my iPhone was just replaced at an Apple Store, so I'm not really sure what it could be.

I have a problem with my iPhone 4s:Â Usage and Standby are almost the same, they only difference is about 3 minutes. The battery last about 6 hours and half even I don't use it!I restore iOS 7.1.1 already three times and nothing changes. There is only 3 apps installed: whatsapp, twitter and instagram . Location services are off, parallax too, email are set on manual. Sometimes I have no audio, system wide and music app...
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've noticed a problem with my iPhone 4 draining itself...even when I'm not using the phone at all. A couple of nights ago, I charged my phone up to 100% and left it in standby overnight. I woke up the next morning and the battery was at 53%. Last night, I charged it up to 100% again and did not touch the phone at all until this morning. When I woke up, the battery was at 83% and it reported 19 minutes of usage even though I did not touch the phone at all.
But it doesn't drain itself all the time. Sometimes standby battery life is great but never excellent. Then when I use the phone (safari over 3G or wi-fi, ipod, light gaming, etc.) the battery drains at about 1% per minute. Is this normal?...all of this continues to happen after I've restored and set up as a new phone multiple times. Anyone else having these problems? Think it's a hardware issue? I'm a little jealous of all the other iPhone 4 users out there who report stellar battery life.
I'm on my second iPhone 4, since my first one had the yellow screen blobs. The battery was great on my first one, but not so good on this one. I restored the same backup, and even did a settings reset to get rid of anything that may cause an issue.
What's weird is that when I check the usage in Settings > Usage, the standby is correct but the usage is creaping up without me actually using the phone. For example, went to bed last night and usage was around 3 hours and battery level 55%. This morning, it was 3.5 hours and battery was down to 47%. I'd even restarted the phone before going to bed so that nothing was running in the background.
I'm just DFU restoring my phone to see if that helps. And I might delete and re-add my Google Apps Exchange accounts incase there is something going on there.
Upgraded Sunday to ios 5.1 now extremely poor battery usage. Have tried a few things - nothing seems to make a difference?

How can I get the call time usage in my X8? Can't find it in any of the settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've found that 38 hours worth of battery life Engadget posted in their review to sound like a bit much. However this is less than a week into our new toys, and I know we're all playing hard. So, just for the curious, and to make sure none of us got shorted, how bout a study? If you'd like, post your numbers, however to be more exact, lets go by the usage number under Settings>General>Usage. If you will, post both Usage and Standby stats since the last full charge when you get down to 20%. Try to be as exact as possible.
So on my iPhone 4 going from 100% to 20% I've got...
Usage 5 hours 4 minutes
Standby 16 hours 8 minutes
Total 21 hours 12 minutes
It is normal for the duration of my iphone 4 last me about 48 hours not just making much use of it. My iphone is about 3 month.
