One difference between GB and ICS is that there is no GPS icon in the status bar when GPS is switched on - unless an app that uses it is running. Does this mean that the GPS uses no power outside of the app? There is no GPS power usage indicator in settings > battery to check if this is the case.

I've tried restarting and also clearing the general app cache.
In my Xperia z2 battery usage is showing wifi on but i did not turned it on at any time.
I dont know what is happening in the software but it is annoying to see that wifi is turned on at all the time.
The Battery usage graph is way inaccurate. One Day is represented by couple of lines as compared to showing the full chart The start date is 20th March.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I press the on button, I can feel the vibration but after that nothing happens. I have finally updated the software after 50 plus attempts. The phone is recognsied by SE Companion but when I click on either of the 2 icons for support and media, nothing is installed and a message of "try again" pops up. The battery charging icon does not appear when I try to recharge but the vibration when the on button is pressed appears to suggest that battery has at least some charge

View 2 Replies View RelatedI left it on charge all night last night, and this morning - I noticed it was switching to "low battery mode", which I found strange as I had charged it overnight and noticed it was showing as 50%.... it kept going in to "low battery mode", which I thought was unusual as it doesn't go in to that mode until its much lower.
I noticed then that occassionally the battery icon was flicking between 50% and 7%, and then 4% etc.... so not sure why it was showing 50% as it looks like perhaps it hadn't charged at all and that it was actually low on battery? But I'm not sure.
So I plugged the phone in to my Mac, and opened Sony Bridge, and tried to go through the steps of Repairing the phone in case that would work - but as I got to the stage where I am meant to unplug the USB and then plug it back in to the computer whilst holding down the volume down button, the phone stopped responding. No LED lights, no switch on.
Presumably the battery has run dead - but after an hour of charging it in the wall socket, it's not showing any signs of life. The phone is running Lollipop by the way.
For the past couple of days I've been having some strange battery problems. I can have my phone on and the battery is at 100%. Then I'll shut it off and turn it back on a few hours later and my battery would drop a significant percentage like 30% or so. It doesn't just do this when the phone is fully charged it will do it when the battery is at any percentage.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a aggravating problem that started about a month ago. My phone and battery are not communicating. I am running 5.0 It began one day, I thought I was getting great battery life. It turned out the indicator was stuck at 56% . Now it just stays at 100% . Battery life is normal, I can go all day. How much battery is left. When it's done it dies.
When I go to Battery in settings it says battery data not available. I am sure this is a software issue. Whether it is a app or the OS? After the factory reset I was very careful about what I installed. Recently installed Battery Dr. It stays at 100% as well.
Here is what I've tried.
1. Bought a new battery. This seemed to correct at first, but now both battery act the same.
2. Did a factory date reset. Again this seemed to be the fix. But the issue came back.
3. Wiped the data cache. No real change.
Since the latest OS-Update to 6.0 Bundle 2949 the usage of the battery is like an iPhone, only 1-2 days life time with a full loaded battery. Before this update, I was able to use a full loaded battery for about one week.

My classes are from 8:30AM-2:15PM. I only have a 1 hour break in which I listened to Slacker radio while I used library computer.
When my last class of the day came around, I saw my battery meter, 8%! Over the past week or so, I've noticed that my Iphone 4 battery seems to be depleting faster than it had been previously. I've also noticed that my usage time seems quite high, based on my actual usage.To test this a bit, I unplugged my phone at 100% this morning, confirmed that the "time since last full charge" counters were reset, and left my phone untouched for the next 3+ hours. After that time:
Standby: 2hrs, 41 minutes
Usage: 1hr, 13 minutes
Battery: 95%
I do have 3 email accounts configured, with the polling interval at 30 minutes. Push email is disabled.How would I have racked up 73 minutes of usage without touching the phone? I've tried rebooting the phone, but that didn't seem to have much effect...
Last night i put my phone on the charger and when I unplugged it in the morning the battery symbol showed 100% but still showed the charging symbol and stated it was charging. When I tapped on the battery symbol is had the graph but stated "battery usage data isn't available". I shut down/re-started and it still shows "battery usage data isn't available". How can I get things back to normal.

recentley brought an iphone 4s ( 4 days ago) now phone only turns on after leaving it overnight with a reset. battery only holds it charge for 7 hrs from 100% with it in standby mode. phone will not switch on when pressing the on/off button as it should do , only with a reset. what a power hungrey machine this is. oh by the way i turned most things off before i left it for 7 hrs ie wifi, location, bluetooth, etc etc. . have re-installed software last night and still the same thing is occouring with this phone.

Since iOS 5.0.1 I never had. Artery problem. But after recent upgrade to 5.1.1 I found that while using usual apps, including very simple like card game, my iPhone became very, uncomfortable hot near sim slot location. I was tried to reinstall sim card several times - no effect. Battery drain now terrible in active mode, about 1 percent per one or couple of minutes.

Everyone always says that using bluetooth etc can be a major drain on your battery power. I want to know exactly how much of a drain on battery power using bluetooth is. If the iPhone were to be subjected to constant bluetooth data exchange for, lets say, 1 hour, how much of an affect would this have on power.

I have a new e5. The battery drain over night ( over night= no usage ) is bad. Even with power saver mode on over night drain is about minimum 2 bars. Also unplug charger warning shows again long after charger has been disconnected.

Till yesterday it was functioning OK but today after full recharge it battery got drained in 5 hours without any usage !! I noticed the phone is getting too hot without any usage. View 7 Replies View Relatedi am happy to join this forum with all of you,, i just got SGS II from 2 days i noticed that in the 1st day the battery was going well but after i installed some programs and games the battery drain become X2 than 1st day ( 1st day i was testing it and opening options and trying app. and it stay for 1 day and 5 hours approximately. but after installing the games and apps it still for 1 days and 6 hours but without using it as much as 1st day i tried to check the battery usage and i found that every thing is low and good but the display usage became over 76% no widget just 6 and the other pages have been removed all applications in background closed, brightness set on 30% approximately finally android v is 2.3.3.
i fully charged the battery since 2 hours ago and the battery now goes to 93% please i need help about that and i downloaded juice defender today to test it
