I see that Android 4.0 has smart lockscreen from which we can access musicplayer and all settings screen.. For me music player is workinG fine. but.. settings tab is not popping out..

I have the Arix 4G running Gingerbread 2.3.4 on AT&T. However, I cannot access the "Settings" menu option on the phone. It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?
I'm having a problem with my phone security. I unfortunately forgot the required pattern to unlock my phone and now it's isn't recognising my answer to the security code question. Is there any means to restart the phone or get access to phone menu again ??

View 1 Replies View Relatedi am using GPRS services for now almost an year and half. i was having windows mobile till 16th Sept'11 on which i was using gprs very happily but on 17th Sept'11, i did purchase Xperia mini from G. V. Puntambekar(Pune based dealer). The phone is now installed OS as Andriod 2.3. Ever since i have purchased the phone i am not able to use GPRS services on it. I did speak to Airtel (my current service provider) and whatever settings they have given but not able to save them on my phone bcoz it asks for MCC and then MNC code. hence after talking to Airtel somehow i got these code. but depite of entering them into the settings along with other settings, i am still not able to use gprs. i was told that once you save the gprs manual settings it creates a profile on phone but it is not saving any profile on my phone. Sony dealer is sayingthat it is a service provider problem and Service provider is saying that we have given you all the settings so it is a phone manufacturer's problem. I am getting penalised in these two contradictory statements. Without GPRS the phone is like any ordinary phone. I feel like cheated even after paying Rs.13000/- and buying Sony's product. Feels like lesson learnt that never buy SONY product again..

I don't have quick access to my camera from the lock screen on my new iphone 4s. When double quick on the home button, I have the symbol for the camera but it does not respond when tapping on it. I had connected my phone to the charger and tried to use the touch screen, it didnt work to my surprise. I tried to use the hardware buttons, they seemed to be working but all that in vain because when i tried to switch off the phone, i couldn't...!! I think there is some problem with the gravity sensor when connecting to the charger, i have seen this only when i connect my phone for charging and when the phone is in a position where the screen is facing the floor tilted towards the right. I have seen this problem 3 times, and would not like to see it happen again.

And i have to take out the battery and insert again for it to function properly. I am in Pakistan so i cant take it to any Sony franchise.. And it happens that when I need to take a photo rapidly, starting by a black screen (in standby so), through dedicated camera button, I can't modify some settings into Camera, just like modality or resolution or whatever, I can only modifiy Flash or Noflash et similia
I don't understand this choice and I don't respect It too
It's simply crazy to let open camera and we can't modify some settings, just because phone's locked ...
It's better to let modify for taking photos as simplier as possibile, because we can't firstly unlock our phone and then press on our camera button
And I don't think It's for security because I don't think that a thief who moves some settings in Camera can do more damns that He could do
When we go into settings / Apps / then go to ALL Tab
scroll down a little bit and then open one app then if we go back then the list of apps comes from top. We have to scroll down again if we want to go into the same app or other app
And when ever we click on back we have to scroll again and again.

I'm trying to setup a new exchange email account on an iPhone 4. This is normally pretty straight forward, however, on this particular phone I can't get into the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings. When I go into Settings and click on it, the screen flicks up into the settings for a second and then boots me out of settings and back to the main display
I have tried restarting the phone to no avail and checked to make sure it has the latest software update. Is there anything else I can try before I resort to resetting back to default settings?
