Motorola Atrix 4G :: Unable To Access Settings Menu
Dec 22, 2011
I have the Arix 4G running Gingerbread 2.3.4 on AT&T. However, I cannot access the "Settings" menu option on the phone. It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?
I see that Android 4.0 has smart lockscreen from which we can access musicplayer and all settings screen.. For me music player is workinG fine. but.. settings tab is not popping out..
When I connect to Windows 7 pc via USB--one out of 5 times will I be able to access the sd card data of the computer. And when i unplug it--all of my custom notifications (songs for ringtones and such) go back to stock
Under "Menu" then "Call Settings", does "Text Message Reply" work when enabled?Supposedly if you press the power button when a call is coming in, the call will be ignored and you will receive the option to have a "canned" text message sent to the ignored caller. When I press the power button while an incoming call is ringing from a mobile number, my screen goes dark, i.e. I get no prompts to select one of the text message responses and send it. When I wake the phone, I have a missed call indication in the notification area and that's all
Recently I try to format my sd card in z2 phone, but I was unable to find format option in storage menu in settings instead of format option i found erase option menu, Is that erase and format is same or erase is just deleting files in sd card or its format the sd card I am using Kitkat 4.4.2 ...
I'm trying to setup a new exchange email account on an iPhone 4. This is normally pretty straight forward, however, on this particular phone I can't get into the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings. When I go into Settings and click on it, the screen flicks up into the settings for a second and then boots me out of settings and back to the main display
I have tried restarting the phone to no avail and checked to make sure it has the latest software update. Is there anything else I can try before I resort to resetting back to default settings?
After my new X2 started to loose it's mind, I decide to try a cache wipe:Power off Power On Holding Home Key When Andy with Exlamation Point Shows up Press BOTH Volume keys Use Volume Keys to navigate to "wipe cache partition" and tap power button to select Wait for it to finish and select reboot system?
Is there any way to turn this feature off?? This is getting very frustring to have it vibrate and it's not even discreet (it sounds like a loud buzzing noise on the other end). The person on the other line keeps asking what's that buzzing sound? This ISN'T a feature, in fact it's annoying to people I talk to on the phone and frustrating that I have to tell the other person everytime it's the phone vibrating. It does not make any difference in my life if it vibrates when I press the home, menu, return or search buttons.
I just recieved a warranty replacement DX2 yesterday. So far, it is a neat phone and I am quite pleased. However, I am unable to fiind the selection to calibrate the compass. In my old Droid X it was in Menu>Settings>Location & Security>Calibrate Compass. Now, Calibrate Compass is no longer there.Perhaps the DX2 compass doesn't require calibration.
How can I edit/replace apps in provided car dock menu? I know there are several 'add app here', but, like provided radio tuner is not much good here in AUS so I wanted to replace it with 'tunin' that works well, and, has local radio stations.
Where can I find Accounts and sync settings in my Atrix 2? I remember I saw that sometime back but can't find it now. Just to clarify, its different than under Settings --> Account.
I am having an error with the WiFi of the Atrix 4G. It will not connect and when I go into settings it just says 'Error'. I have had the phone since it has come out and this has never happened before. I have wiped and restarted the phone twice and nothing has changed. I have attached pictures of the menu settings page and the toggle switch which just has the loading symbol and cant be switched on or off.
Noticed that greyed out was Ethernet and Ethernet settings under Wireless and network settings. Was wondering if that was suppose to be used for anything.
I recently bought a Atrix-2 in Bangalore. I am unable to access the SIM Card contacts. It says that there are no contacts, while am able to access the contacts in the SIM card from a Nokia phone.
How can I access the internal storage? When I connect via USB, the only storage shown is the SD card I have installed. I can't see the internal storage. I would like to add my pictures from my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2 but I can't. I only have a 2G SD card, which has been fine for years since I save pictures to the phone's memory and do a back up periodically. So how do I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I have tried the USB, MotoLink (which I found out isn't compatible yet), and Phone Portal...nothing. Help please! On the Captivate, I could plug in the USB and two drives would appear...one for the phone's internal memory and one for the external SD card. Does it work that way with the Atrix 2?
Firefox settings issues - can't access websites when docked
My motorola atrix has a wi fi connection , is docked and linked to tv using hdmi dock, bluetooth activated wireless mousse and keyboard all work but cannot connect to any websites - comes up with can't connect or find server message. only thing i haven't tried is to do with the firewall settings, proxy , vpn, etc ....I do not know what any of them are
Bought a 32gb mico SD card. I am trying to use the moto phone portal and it is telling me that the SD card can not be found. Does it have to have a specific name or something? I was able to put music, photo's and apps on it and can browse the folders just fine so why cant the portal see it?
My son is in the Netherlands, trying to find a mobile carrier that will give him data access on his Droid 3. First he tried Vodafone NL, with the negative results I reported here: url...To summarize, Vodafone NL says there is a bug in the phone that they have reported to Motorola (with no response) that causes it to read the APN info on the SIM card incorrectly. Vodafone recommended that he try getting a SIM card from a major competitor such as KPN.
So that's what he's now done, with the following result: whenever APN settings are entered in the phone, they are forgotten 3 seconds later. So data remains unusable on the phone. This is a new phone that worked perfectly on CDMA and Verizon, and was purchased specificially because of its GSM capabilities in Europe.Note that with both carriers tried so far, voice and SMS ends up working fine. It's data that he can't get to work.A proposed solution to the Vodafone version of the problem was posted that involves rooting and tinkering with the files on the phone. That is not an option for us at the moment.
I removed my Facebook account from my Motoblur account listing and tried to add it under other accounts but it does not show up at all and thus no contacts get sync'd or anything though I can still use the facebook app. Do I have to login to facebook under motoblur accounts in order to get the contact syncing?
I have recently done a hard factory wipe/reset as well as erased my user data through Motoblur site, but when I turn on the phone it still retains all my screen layout settings, sticky notes and content, contact layouts, shortcuts etc...I would like to have everything reset to blank like the day I bought the phone, is there any way to do this rather than removing everything from the screen one by one?
I recently update my Attrix 4g from Android 2.3.2 to 2.3.4.Since then some of the settings in the Camera app have disappeared. The manual says the options available in the camera settings should be: Picture Res, Video Res, Exposure, Review Time, Shutter Tone and Storage Location. But only pic res, vid res, exposure, storage location are available since the update.
I have a Motorola Atrix 4g on the Telstra Network (Australia). I recently updated from Android 2.3.2 to 2.3.4. Since then some of the settings in the Camera app have disappeared. The manual says the options available in the camera settings should be: Picture Res, Video Res, Exposure, Review Time, Shutter Tone and Storage Location, which were all present when I first got the phone. But since the update, only pic res, vid res, exposure, storage location are available. I have tried clearing the camera apps data and cache, but no changes.
