When I connect to Windows 7 pc via USB--one out of 5 times will I be able to access the sd card data of the computer. And when i unplug it--all of my custom notifications (songs for ringtones and such) go back to stock

I recently bought a Atrix-2 in Bangalore. I am unable to access the SIM Card contacts. It says that there are no contacts, while am able to access the contacts in the SIM card from a Nokia phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the Arix 4G running Gingerbread 2.3.4 on AT&T. However, I cannot access the "Settings" menu option on the phone. It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?

After the GB update, my computer (either of them, both running windows 7 64bit, one professional, one home edition) don't recognize the device at all. I have Moto Media Link installed, and I've tried reinstalling the drivers software and such, but whenever I plug the phone in it just charged, I get no notification like I used to that I was plugged in. In the past, the phone beeped and asked me to choose what kind of connection I wanted. I get no such prompt now. The phone is not set to debugging mode either.

I wrote the author to see if i can get a fix.So i thought of another solution. Maybe i can put a bluetooth dongle in the laptop and somehow install a virtual keyboard in the computer so the phone can see it as a bt keyboard. I have searched for a way to back up contacts to the computer but all I've found is how to back them up to an SD card.
(I understand that if they are in google contacts, I'm safe, and my phone has that, but the other Atrix in our home has many of the contacts saved as a Motorola contact.) That Atrix also does not have an SD card!
How can I access the internal storage? When I connect via USB, the only storage shown is the SD card I have installed. I can't see the internal storage. I would like to add my pictures from my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2 but I can't. I only have a 2G SD card, which has been fine for years since I save pictures to the phone's memory and do a back up periodically. So how do I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I have tried the USB, MotoLink (which I found out isn't compatible yet), and Phone Portal...nothing. Help please!On the Captivate, I could plug in the USB and two drives would appear...one for the phone's internal memory and one for the external SD card. Does it work that way with the Atrix 2?

My motorola atrix has a wi fi connection , is docked and linked to tv using hdmi dock, bluetooth activated wireless mousse and keyboard all work but cannot connect to any websites - comes up with can't connect or find server message. only thing i haven't tried is to do with the firewall settings, proxy , vpn, etc ....I do not know what any of them are

When I am logged off, and even if someone else is logged in to my computer, the smartphone states that my computer is offline. Is this how Zumocast was designed? Or, is there something wrong with my setup? I can see Zumocast not getting access if the computer is sleeping. But, I don't want to have to stay logged in when I'm away.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to smartphones and since getting my ARTIX have been using it instead of an iPod for listening to music, audio books, podcasts, etc.One problem however is that when the phone locks the audio player is no longer accessible beyond the volume control that's on the side of the phone.As a result whenever I want to pause, rewind or forward what I am listening to I have to unlock the phone to access the player.I asked my kids about this and they showed me how on their iPhones they could access the audio player without unlocking the phone. So far I have been unable to figure out how to do this on my ATRIX.After searching the settings on the ATRIX I found "Settings>Location & Security Setings>Security Lock Timer (when display is off)" but noticed that Security Lock Timer switch is "Gray" and unavailable on my ATRIX.
