Motorola Atrix 4G :: Stock Gallery In The New Update Gingerbread
Jul 28, 2011Before the update, my gallery used to be able to sort by folders that I organized through computer. However, after the update it seems like the gallery put all my pictures in the same folder and can only be sorted by date, name, etc but not by folders.
Is there a way to display in folders with the stock gallery? I think the new gallery update is so inconvenient!

Oct 16, 2012Ever since the ICS update, my gallery likes to not show the pictures that are on my phone. They were visible pre-ICS, but are now not. If I use a file manager I can see that they are still on my phone and even view them, but they refuse to pop up in my gallery. I have tried the unmounting and mounting of my SD card as I have seen people wiht similar problems do, but have had no success.
Is there a new folder that the pictures need to be moved to to be seen by the gallery app? I'm guessing no because they did occassionally show up after the update, but now won't at all. Still, worth asking.

Then I say delete the picture(s from the SD card do I lose the picture assigned to the contact? Or is the picture assigned to a contact 'special' and also resized and kept somewhere else?

Oct 4, 2011I just recently started having a problem in the Gallery when it comes adding pictures to albums. Whenever I try adding a picture to an album I get an error that says "Sorry - The application Gallery (process com.motorola.gallery) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." The only option I have is to force close, no report option. I have tried shutting down the phone and rebooting it and the problem is still occurring. I also have done a full system scan using the antivirus app, Lookout. No problems showed up on the scan. I have also done a hard reset (removing the battery)

I would like to add my pictures from my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2 but I can't. I only have a 2G SD card, which has been fine for years since I save pictures to the phone's memory and do a back up periodically. So how do I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I have tried the USB, MotoLink (which I found out isn't compatible yet), and Phone Portal...nothing. Help please!On the Captivate, I could plug in the USB and two drives would appear...one for the phone's internal memory and one for the external SD card. Does it work that way with the Atrix 2?

Sep 3, 2011Ok so I just got the droid phone called the Atrix and after setting up my applications I then tried going to my photo gallery supplied on the phone to look through my photos, but when clicking on the gallery it acts as if it is loading, but then a notifications pops up that says "Sorry Activity Gallerys is not responding." I dont understand why it is saying that or how to fix it seeing as how this phone is BRAND NEW!!! I do know that my memory card did have alot of photos saved on it but I dont see how that should matter!!! If I go to my files and then click on the different folders that hold my photos I am able to get to them but not through the gallery

Dec 22, 2011I have the Arix 4G running Gingerbread 2.3.4 on AT&T. However, I cannot access the "Settings" menu option on the phone. It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?
