Bought a 32gb mico SD card. I am trying to use the moto phone portal and it is telling me that the SD card can not be found. Does it have to have a specific name or something? I was able to put music, photo's and apps on it and can browse the folders just fine so why cant the portal see it?

I recently bought a Atrix-2 in Bangalore. I am unable to access the SIM Card contacts. It says that there are no contacts, while am able to access the contacts in the SIM card from a Nokia phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to smartphones and since getting my ARTIX have been using it instead of an iPod for listening to music, audio books, podcasts, etc.One problem however is that when the phone locks the audio player is no longer accessible beyond the volume control that's on the side of the phone.As a result whenever I want to pause, rewind or forward what I am listening to I have to unlock the phone to access the player.I asked my kids about this and they showed me how on their iPhones they could access the audio player without unlocking the phone. So far I have been unable to figure out how to do this on my ATRIX.After searching the settings on the ATRIX I found "Settings>Location & Security Setings>Security Lock Timer (when display is off)" but noticed that Security Lock Timer switch is "Gray" and unavailable on my ATRIX.

I would like to add my pictures from my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2 but I can't. I only have a 2G SD card, which has been fine for years since I save pictures to the phone's memory and do a back up periodically. So how do I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I have tried the USB, MotoLink (which I found out isn't compatible yet), and Phone Portal...nothing. Help please!On the Captivate, I could plug in the USB and two drives would appear...one for the phone's internal memory and one for the external SD card. Does it work that way with the Atrix 2?

Firefox settings issues - can't access websites when docked
My motorola atrix has a wi fi connection , is docked and linked to tv using hdmi dock, bluetooth activated wireless mousse and keyboard all work but cannot connect to any websites - comes up with can't connect or find server message. only thing i haven't tried is to do with the firewall settings, proxy , vpn, etc ....I do not know what any of them are

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Arix 4G running Gingerbread 2.3.4 on AT&T. However, I cannot access the "Settings" menu option on the phone. It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?
I have used several Android phone with the standard "Google internet browser" and I used to have access to my history which very useful!
But on the Atrix I can't find it.
I only have access to an option to erase the history...

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that the SD card on my Atrix is often not seen, and is there anything that can be done about it? Here are some examples of things that have not seemed to work with and/or recognize my SD card:
1. When my phone is hooked up to my car stereo via USB, the stereo finds audio files on the phones internal storage only, not on the SD card.
2. I have the app "Widgetsoid" which has a toggle switch to mount/dismount the SD card. Instead the widget mounts/dismounts my phone's internal storage.
3. I was using DoubleTwist for a while, but it was hit or miss as far as it seeing my SD card. Sometimes it would find my internal memory, other times it would find my SD card.
4. I had a BT system installed in my car temporarily, and it could only find audio files on the internal storage, not on the SD card.
The SD card seems to function fine with respect to file management when using my laptop and USB or Wifi. The music I have on the SD card functions fine with the stock music player and with ProAmp.
After upgrading to 2.3 i've noticed that pics that you save from pic messaging goes straight to the sd card and not the internal memory. Problem is I have yet to find where on my sd card these pics are going

First with my Atrix, and now with my Atrix 2, I just can't seem to consistenly connect, via USB, from my device to my PC. I've tried:
1. Charge only
2. USB Mass storage
3. Windows Media Sync
4. Motorola Phone Portal.
When I try all of these and go to Windows Explorer, all I see is My Computer>Mobile Device...but nothing is there. As I "scroll" through the above choices, I get tons of "bum-beep...bee-bumps" from my PC indicating some sort of connection, but no connection come to fruition. I am running a 32GM Sandisk microSD, and it is formatted--nothing on it. No apps, nothing. Windows XP.
Somethins I get a "Found new hardware" message "MTP device" but it just hangs there.
As far as I know, I have all the proper drivers installed, as I recently tried the one-click root for this device, which didn't work either. I think I deleted the Motorola Media Link stuff. I can't even get the ZumoCast to work.
I can not format my SD card ( SanDisc 16gb 4, bought from Staples original one) on Atrix 2. I had this issue also with SD card from AT&T that came with phone. I thought that formating will resolve problem with disappearing apps from

I notice now that the map stored to my phones internal memory rather than to my SD card - I don't recall the app asking me where to store the map.
Must I change a phone setting to accomplish this going forward? I found this in settings under Windows Media Sync:
Settings / SD card and phonestorage / Storage location - then I am presented the opiton of choosing internal phone storage or SD card.
But I still wouldn't consider a GPS map to be "Windows Media" in need of a sync (?)
I had to do a master reset, but before I did, I exported all contacts to my SD card. However, when I try to import them, it shows that there are only three on there and they don't export. I plugged the phone in and looked on the computer, still nothing.
