When I connect with the HDMI cable to my TV, I only see a limited number of my videos pics and music. I can't see anything on my sd card to play, how can you access all of your files if at all possible?
View 3 RepliesI bought an Atrix a few months ago and have had a few problems, but have had NO time to address it. So, I've just ignored it. The main problem is that I cannot play a video that has been sent to me via text. I am able to play videos that I record on the Atrix. I have even sent myself a video from my Atrix and it has played. I don't know why my phone is unable to play videos that have been texted to me.
Another problem is that my ringtone will not stay correct. Sometimes my ringtone will be what I have selected and other times it plays an old ringtone that I had set from my previous phone. I have checked the settings for my ringtone. I don't have any specialized ringtones for any specific people on my contacts list. So my ringtone can be one of 3 songs that are on my songs list. compared to the one listed above. I dont know how a phone this "smart" cannot play videos received.
Who here has installed it? I did last night. Looks pretty cool.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to play an AVI video file (from an 808 keychain camera) that I copied from my computer to the phone SD card, the file comes up & plays but all I get is audio with a blank/black screen. The files play fine on the computer. I tried small ( 8mg ) files but no difference. I use the stock media player w/ flash player which has worked great for everything up till now. OS is 2.3.6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 2009 Acura TSX w/Tech Package. I'm attempting to play music on my Motorola Atrix HD, but the TSX's bluetooth doesn't detect my phone. When I plug the phone into the USB connector in the center console the TSX still doesn't detect anything.
Does anyone know what I need to do in order to play music on my Atrix HD through the TSX's system?
How do I get in-call audio to play on my car speakers? If I plug in Car AUX to the headphone jack, in-call audio and music both play over the speakers... however if my Atrix is in the craddle, music plays over the speakers, but calls are in speaker-phone mode through the phone speakers.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOne problem I am having is that I will occasionally get an error message when trying to play a media file that I know the phone supports that says "the player does not support this type of file", or something like that. If I turn the phone off and back on, it plays fine, but will then give me the error later on in the day. The types of files I am trying to play are mp3 and xvid avi. One idea I have is that the music player widget is cause the problem because if you play an mp3, but then try to do something else while it plays(multitask) it will not play in the background like it used to. You have to actually go into the media player and create a now playing list. This is very annoying to me as I play a lot of media on my phone throughout the day and currently have to restart my phone 2 or 3 times.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen you make a call sometimes it just plays your ringtone? I have had this issue on and off since I bought my Atrix 2 in February but it seems to be getting worse. When I click on the person I want to call it brings it up like it is going to call them but instead of ringing them it just plays the ringtone. It even plays the special ringtone if I have assigned the person one on my phone but it never actually calls them. The only way I can make calls again once it starts is to power off the phone and power it back on.
View 4 Replies View Relatedso i thought to believe that the atrix was capable of 720p video playback. i tried to test it by downloading a hd Internet video @ 720p. then i transferred it to my atrix via usb cable. when i tried to play the video it just gave me an error message telling me that it couldn't play it. i was a bit disappointed to see that it's having problems. now, i'm not sure if it's the default video player, software issue, or hardware issue? either hd video couldn't play or it just freezes while audio plays?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAm I the only person who is unable to figure out how to play system notification tones over a bluetooth ear piece? My old Moto Q did. What I'm talking about is to have meeting warning tones and e-mail / text message arrival tones play thru the earpiece. For that matter - why can't we redirect ALL sounds that go to the phone's speaker go to bluetooth???
I have missed more meetings and not responded fast enough to a number of e-mails because of this.
Anybody have a way to make this work? I haven't found anything in the market place that works.
I recieved my atrix 2 (at&t version but unlocked as described on ebay) today. But after I insert my sim card into the slot and power on the phone, it shows that no sim card.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that the SD card on my Atrix is often not seen, and is there anything that can be done about it? Here are some examples of things that have not seemed to work with and/or recognize my SD card:
1. When my phone is hooked up to my car stereo via USB, the stereo finds audio files on the phones internal storage only, not on the SD card.
2. I have the app "Widgetsoid" which has a toggle switch to mount/dismount the SD card. Instead the widget mounts/dismounts my phone's internal storage.
3. I was using DoubleTwist for a while, but it was hit or miss as far as it seeing my SD card. Sometimes it would find my internal memory, other times it would find my SD card.
4. I had a BT system installed in my car temporarily, and it could only find audio files on the internal storage, not on the SD card.
The SD card seems to function fine with respect to file management when using my laptop and USB or Wifi. The music I have on the SD card functions fine with the stock music player and with ProAmp.
After upgrading to 2.3 i've noticed that pics that you save from pic messaging goes straight to the sd card and not the internal memory. Problem is I have yet to find where on my sd card these pics are going

First with my Atrix, and now with my Atrix 2, I just can't seem to consistenly connect, via USB, from my device to my PC. I've tried:
1. Charge only
2. USB Mass storage
3. Windows Media Sync
4. Motorola Phone Portal.
When I try all of these and go to Windows Explorer, all I see is My Computer>Mobile Device...but nothing is there. As I "scroll" through the above choices, I get tons of "bum-beep...bee-bumps" from my PC indicating some sort of connection, but no connection come to fruition. I am running a 32GM Sandisk microSD, and it is formatted--nothing on it. No apps, nothing. Windows XP.
Somethins I get a "Found new hardware" message "MTP device" but it just hangs there.
As far as I know, I have all the proper drivers installed, as I recently tried the one-click root for this device, which didn't work either. I think I deleted the Motorola Media Link stuff. I can't even get the ZumoCast to work.
I can not format my SD card ( SanDisc 16gb 4, bought from Staples original one) on Atrix 2. I had this issue also with SD card from AT&T that came with phone. I thought that formating will resolve problem with disappearing apps from
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the sd card on my Xoom wifi with Android 4.0.4. I have my music collection on an sd card which is loaded in my Xoom. Initially the music plays fine in the Google Play Music App, but after using the tablet for a day or two the music will no longer play. I get a message that the music cannot be played. This message then appears when attempting to play any music on the sd card.
I can temporarily fix the problem by erasing the Media Storage and Google Play Music data or resetting the tablet as suggested by gmanapps, but the problem repeats itself. I also tried syncing/not syncing with Google Music, disabling the Google Play Music app and using an alternate player, and formatting the sd card.
In general I have been happy with my Xoom, but this issue really concerns me. Does this point to a larger problem of stability in the Android file structure?
Just received a 32GB PNY Class 10 card and installed it in my 3G Xoom. Everything appears to be working, create directories, copied videos to the Video directory, etc. The same videos I moved to the SD card all played just fine from the default directory.Video app sees the videos, but when I attempt to open a video the screen dims and nothing happens. I've stopped the Video app, cleared the cache, and unmounted and remounted the SD Card.

I notice now that the map stored to my phones internal memory rather than to my SD card - I don't recall the app asking me where to store the map.
Must I change a phone setting to accomplish this going forward? I found this in settings under Windows Media Sync:
Settings / SD card and phonestorage / Storage location - then I am presented the opiton of choosing internal phone storage or SD card.
But I still wouldn't consider a GPS map to be "Windows Media" in need of a sync (?)
I had to do a master reset, but before I did, I exported all contacts to my SD card. However, when I try to import them, it shows that there are only three on there and they don't export. I plugged the phone in and looked on the computer, still nothing.
