I have a 2009 Acura TSX w/Tech Package. I'm attempting to play music on my Motorola Atrix HD, but the TSX's bluetooth doesn't detect my phone. When I plug the phone into the USB connector in the center console the TSX still doesn't detect anything.
Does anyone know what I need to do in order to play music on my Atrix HD through the TSX's system?
Am I the only person who is unable to figure out how to play system notification tones over a bluetooth ear piece? My old Moto Q did. What I'm talking about is to have meeting warning tones and e-mail / text message arrival tones play thru the earpiece. For that matter - why can't we redirect ALL sounds that go to the phone's speaker go to bluetooth???
I have missed more meetings and not responded fast enough to a number of e-mails because of this.
Anybody have a way to make this work? I haven't found anything in the market place that works.
I noticed that my music app has two folders titled Unknown albums. In the two folders(one has the artist as dr. mad the other is unknown) there are various system sounds.

I have all my music set to availible offline, so it is all stored locally on my phone, but the HDMI entertainment app doesn't detect any music, nor does the motoblur music app. I don't really care about the motoblur music app but how can I get my music recognized by the HDMI entertainment system app (is app the right word for the HDMI entertainment interface?), or is there a new app I can get that will recognize the music synced by google music?

if this happened as a result of the system upgrade (to 4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en.US, Android version 2.3.4), but I surely noticed many contacts on my phone are messed up. Many names, phone numbers, email addresses etc are all mixed up together.

I had this problem a while ago and I was told my motoblur account was inactive. I'm assuming this has happened again somehow? How does this keep happening? I don't have any customization or rooting or anything like that. Obviously I don't want to have to perform a factory reset everytime I want to check for an update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought an Atrix a few months ago and have had a few problems, but have had NO time to address it. So, I've just ignored it. The main problem is that I cannot play a video that has been sent to me via text. I am able to play videos that I record on the Atrix. I have even sent myself a video from my Atrix and it has played. I don't know why my phone is unable to play videos that have been texted to me.
Another problem is that my ringtone will not stay correct. Sometimes my ringtone will be what I have selected and other times it plays an old ringtone that I had set from my previous phone. I have checked the settings for my ringtone. I don't have any specialized ringtones for any specific people on my contacts list. So my ringtone can be one of 3 songs that are on my songs list. compared to the one listed above. I dont know how a phone this "smart" cannot play videos received.
When I connect with the HDMI cable to my TV, I only see a limited number of my videos pics and music. I can't see anything on my sd card to play, how can you access all of your files if at all possible?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to play an AVI video file (from an 808 keychain camera) that I copied from my computer to the phone SD card, the file comes up & plays but all I get is audio with a blank/black screen. The files play fine on the computer. I tried small ( 8mg ) files but no difference. I use the stock media player w/ flash player which has worked great for everything up till now. OS is 2.3.6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince getting the Atrix2 I have had no software issues or Forced Closes.This evening I woke the phone up, slid the Lock Bar to the right and here is what I get:The process com.motorola.process.system has stopped unexpectedly, Please try again,Force Close.Once I push "Force Close I can get the phone to function, however the same screen keeps coming up at random, also each time i slide the Lock Bar, I get the window or warning immediately.It happens consistently when the screen times out and you use the lock bar, slid to the right, and you instantly get the warning screen.I have also tried a few of the programs and when you access them i get the warning window. Anyone have any ideas as to what exactly is going on? No Downloads done today, just email, plume and some music.Ive done several Power Off/on cycles, It doesnt seem to want to go away?

If I plug in Car AUX to the headphone jack, in-call audio and music both play over the speakers... however if my Atrix is in the craddle, music plays over the speakers, but calls are in speaker-phone mode through the phone speakers.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOne problem I am having is that I will occasionally get an error message when trying to play a media file that I know the phone supports that says "the player does not support this type of file", or something like that. If I turn the phone off and back on, it plays fine, but will then give me the error later on in the day. The types of files I am trying to play are mp3 and xvid avi. One idea I have is that the music player widget is cause the problem because if you play an mp3, but then try to do something else while it plays(multitask) it will not play in the background like it used to. You have to actually go into the media player and create a now playing list. This is very annoying to me as I play a lot of media on my phone throughout the day and currently have to restart my phone 2 or 3 times.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen you make a call sometimes it just plays your ringtone? I have had this issue on and off since I bought my Atrix 2 in February but it seems to be getting worse. When I click on the person I want to call it brings it up like it is going to call them but instead of ringing them it just plays the ringtone. It even plays the special ringtone if I have assigned the person one on my phone but it never actually calls them. The only way I can make calls again once it starts is to power off the phone and power it back on.
View 4 Replies View Relatedso i thought to believe that the atrix was capable of 720p video playback. i tried to test it by downloading a hd Internet video @ 720p. then i transferred it to my atrix via usb cable. when i tried to play the video it just gave me an error message telling me that it couldn't play it. i was a bit disappointed to see that it's having problems. now, i'm not sure if it's the default video player, software issue, or hardware issue? either hd video couldn't play or it just freezes while audio plays?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I just got a microSD card for my Xoom and understand that I'm not able to simply move movies and music using the internal file system from the Xoom internal memory to the SD card. So fine, I'll re-copy them from my PC to the SD card.But what about when my Google Music syncs, is it going to copy the Music to SD card with the other copied music? or still in internal memory? What about camera pictures and movies? Can you set it to save on the SD card? It take it apps cannot be 'moved to media area' either?onder when Google is going to fix these restrictions to their file system. 10 months later after release of Honeycomb seems a bit long to fix a basic file system function.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy ATRIX2 goes "process system is not responding" and then goes black within around 2 minutes of starting, but only if my SD card is plugged in.Symptoms:If I remove the SD card, everything is fine, browsing, facebook, gaming, no problem.If SD card is plugged in, it would shows "process system is not responding", and after 1 minute or 2, the phone goes black, and I can only try to hold the power button, for it to repeat the same situation again. During that short period, the phone might not show wallpaper at lock screen, might not load widget, might show "bootup trapped:android.intent.action.BOOT_COMPLETED", might have the clock become 00:00, might be able to let me get in setting, might have some apps say they stopped working, might show notification list but with nothing in it.
The phone is just 3 days new, and I didn't do any of those risky "root" operation nor install "Unknown source" app. All I did was just install a lot of apps from Market. The SD card is a KINGSTON 8GB CLASS10. Also, I thought the phone should have 8gb ROM but I only see around 4 shows up.
I place an MicroSD Card in my Moto Q9m with my music files in it, but when I go in File Manager from the Start menu, The "Storage Card" folder isnt there. But the SD Card mark on the top of the screen is there but nothing is showing up. Why not?

The same thing happens when I use the USB with my laptop. How can I change the system to use a playlist other than Bonus Tracks? Or how can I move all my music to the Bonus Tracks folder?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I was getting ready to go for my morning run and for some reason I could not get any of my songs to start playing. I switched out the headphones and still no luck. The weird part was I could hear the "beeps" when I changed the volume of the audio to higher or lower, but the music would just fail to play. I did try other songs and even the ones that came with the device. None worked.
I shoud note, I took the device on a long 18.5 mile run Saturday, the music played fine.. But it might of gotten a bit sweaty?
the music app, after the GB upgrade, now gives me lyrics with my songs.I enabled Lyrics in the settings area. Some how I touched the screen and turned off the lyrics. The check mark said it was still enabled but no lyrics. Is there a toggle somewhere else. I tried for a while and had no luck. Came back 10 minutes later and I have lyrics.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the sd card on my Xoom wifi with Android 4.0.4. I have my music collection on an sd card which is loaded in my Xoom. Initially the music plays fine in the Google Play Music App, but after using the tablet for a day or two the music will no longer play. I get a message that the music cannot be played. This message then appears when attempting to play any music on the sd card.
I can temporarily fix the problem by erasing the Media Storage and Google Play Music data or resetting the tablet as suggested by gmanapps, but the problem repeats itself. I also tried syncing/not syncing with Google Music, disabling the Google Play Music app and using an alternate player, and formatting the sd card.
In general I have been happy with my Xoom, but this issue really concerns me. Does this point to a larger problem of stability in the Android file structure?
