Dec 24, 2011I have a motorola Atrix 4G running Android 2.3.4 and I recently wiped all the music off my phone and synced it with my google music. I have all my music set to availible offline, so it is all stored locally on my phone, but the HDMI entertainment app doesn't detect any music, nor does the motoblur music app. I don't really care about the motoblur music app but how can I get my music recognized by the HDMI entertainment system app (is app the right word for the HDMI entertainment interface?), or is there a new app I can get that will recognize the music synced by google music?

Nov 11, 2011I'd like to know the best way to transfer CD audiobooks to the Atrix. The method I've been using is to:
1) Rip the audiobook CD's to iTunes on my PC.
2) Setup playlist in iTunes for the audiobook,
3) Use MediaLink to transfer selected playlists to the microSD card on the Atrix.
One problem I've run into is that MediaLink seems "glitchy" in transferring the audiobooks to the phone. Sometimes it takes several or more attempts until the transfers complete successfully with MediaLink. Any less cumbersome method to transfer audiobooks to my Atrix (running Froyo 2.2.2).

Jul 1, 2012If I email a photo from my Camera Roll, it opens up fine on the PC. If I connect the phone to my PC via USB, though, whether I choose USB Mass Storage, or Windows Media Sync, I can't get the valid photo files transferred it seems. The transferred files would be "invalid" to open on my PC running Windows 7. If I choose Windows Media Sync, and then use Windows Media Center to Import the files, it would always get stuck at ~45% completion. The imported files can be opened, but then the rest somehow can't even be transferred.
I used to have data and device encryption on. I turned both off when I found out about this problem, but the same issues remain.

Motorola Atrix 4G :: New Music App With Lyrics (GB)?
Aug 1, 2011the music app, after the GB upgrade, now gives me lyrics with my songs.I enabled Lyrics in the settings area. Some how I touched the screen and turned off the lyrics. The check mark said it was still enabled but no lyrics. Is there a toggle somewhere else. I tried for a while and had no luck. Came back 10 minutes later and I have lyrics.

Jul 25, 2011i seem to have so much trouble getting music onto the flipout. I have had more success by taking the media card out and using a reader. Then i just drag and drop. Trouble is the player doesn't play every file. Some it doesn't like saying it is not the correct file type. I think i ripped everything via windows media player. Also windows media player does not sync with the card sometimes or the device itself. I am lost in the problems so can't remember when i did what. So my question is is there an ideal way to do this that i am missing. I think i did use some motorola software as well but didn't get very far with that either. Sorry i am vague but i am on my Linux machine and not the windows one.

Jun 10, 2011I recently purchased a non-us atrix with Bell Mobility.Everything works well except when I tried loading it with music and playing them.The play speed is too fast so it sounds wierd.I tried using the OEM player and a few other ones (Win Amp, Power Amo) but the results are the same.Si it does not appear to be a problem with the player.In addition, when I played a video (MP4), the video plays normally, but the audio sounds similarly wierd (i.e. with high pitch as if it is played at high speed).

Oct 11, 2012I have a 2009 Acura TSX w/Tech Package. I'm attempting to play music on my Motorola Atrix HD, but the TSX's bluetooth doesn't detect my phone. When I plug the phone into the USB connector in the center console the TSX still doesn't detect anything.
Does anyone know what I need to do in order to play music on my Atrix HD through the TSX's system?
Motorola Atrix :: Can't Stop Music Playing
Oct 5, 2011For some reason, walking to my car this morning, my Atrix began to play an audiobook file (MP3). One that I had listened to days ago.
After months of using the phone and happily listening to audio books this issue has just occured this morning.
I swiped open the phone only to find that the (stock) music player was not actually running. Have not been able to find a way to stop the file(s) from playing.
Observations:
1. rebooting the phone simply restarts the playback of the file from its begining.
2. When the phone is sleeping (screen black), I have no control of the volume (as I would using media player)
3. If I swipe the phone to vibrate or silent, the playback goes silent (though I believe it continues playing)
4. I don't believe I have any ther media players installed.
5. Attempting to play a file in the (stock) music player, results in the file trying to play (the slider moves left to right), but only the audiobook is audible.
6. Have tried cycling power, removing battery, and ManageApps->clearing cache, and even uninstalling a number of downloaded apps - nothing helps.
7. I don't believe my phone vibrates any longer when I receive a notification for incoming text or email.

Jul 17, 2011I have my screen timeout set at 2 minutes. When using the music player, the screen does indeed shut off after 2 minutes, but a minute or so later the music player stops. If I set the screen timout to never timeout, the music player keeps playing. Is this a problem with all Atrix's or just mine? Also, while I have your ear, how do I actually SHUT THE MUSIC PLAYER? Feb 3, 2012How do I control which music player is used when my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth? Or, is there anyway to disable the stock music player? For example, I have the atrix's stock music player, google music, and spotify installed on my phone, and the phone will randomly select which one it would like to use when the bluetooth connects. Even if I was just listening to google music, when the bluetooth connects, the phone will automatically switch to the stock player (even though last time I was in the car I was using google music).
Sometimes I'll be listening to google music, and when I change the song it will revert to the stock player. How to make it so that the music always stops when bluetooth disconnects? The music player will randomly keep playing or pause when I turn the car off. I want it to always pause. This seems to be affected by random music programs being installed (even when not in use) such as spotify or iheartradio.
