Does anyone know if/how to change the storage location for music? For photo and video you can do via a setting from within app but I don't see such a setting from within music app.
View 2 RepliesThe phone defaults to store everything on the internal storage instead of the SD card. I called Sprint, but they did not know a way. I cannot directly access the internal memory through the USB. Is there a way to make it store everything on the SD card?For instance I shoot video and it all goes into the internal memory. The only way I can get it onto my computer is to first move it to the SD card, then I can move it to my PC.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI got my atrix 2 yesterday and it was set up in Erie PA at the Best Buy and when I post things to FB or my weather widget, it says I'm in Wesleyville PA which is not too far away but far enough to make a difference. How do I change this? I've trashed the widget and now just use accuweather but the FB posts are irritating me.

I dont want my phone to save messages to my sim, but rather my device. Ive done a lot of research and every answer refers me to going to text messaging options and unselecting "e Leave Messages On SIM Card" check box. The problem there is, I dont have that option

I have several music players installed, and would like to configure the phone so another is the default. Any way to do this? I've tried browsing to a music file and pressing it to bring up the "Complete action using..." dialog, but the app I want to use (PowerAMP) is not listed among the choices. Am I out of luck on this, or just restricted to those apps that show in the popup?

It was purchased SIM-free in June 2011 and has been running with an Orange UK SIM until 2 days ago when I switched it over to GiffGaff.
I wanted to try to preserve some text messages, but not sure if they are on the old SIM or in phone/SD memory.
I did have to perform a reset on swapping the SIM in order to re-authenticate the Motoblur account. If the messages are in the phone memory, will the reset actually over-write, or can they be retrieved with forensic software (I'm basically competent in use of forensic software).
After the update the setting under storage for windows media sync storage location is not selectable and under it it says you need to disconnect from computer to enable this setting?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using my Atrix 2 only on WiFi (I have taken out of sim Card) in a foreign country.Google Maps, News and Weather apps are not able to determine my current location.Also, the stock weather widget inaccurately determines the location. Also when I go to google.com and yahoo.com from my browser, it goes to the customized page of the foreign country. Also, the location is enabled for WiFi and disabled for GPS. Since, I only using WiFi, using GPS is not useful.

I would like to add my pictures from my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2 but I can't. I only have a 2G SD card, which has been fine for years since I save pictures to the phone's memory and do a back up periodically. So how do I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I have tried the USB, MotoLink (which I found out isn't compatible yet), and Phone Portal...nothing. Help please!On the Captivate, I could plug in the USB and two drives would appear...one for the phone's internal memory and one for the external SD card. Does it work that way with the Atrix 2?

They will not be back on the home screens automatically after exited from USB mass storage mode. I have to put them back by myself.

The address resolution can fall to a Range of addresses and blocks out the ability to use it im 1/2 mile increments at our work location. My phone appears to be accurate on gmaps to within 20 feet of my actual location. When I go to add the additional locations they all try to use the same app provided name. they are anywhere fromm 300 yards to one mile apart. Why can't it use a user defined name to stop the conflict? I have business uses for this if it is possilble. Like security guard tracking. The application finds the locations using GPS coordinates in place of addresses correctly but then converts to a street address thats not correct for a name...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed recently that my Atrix will no longer unmount the internal storage (either when I select it from SD card & phone storage or when the Atrix is mounted via USB as a USB Mass Storage device). I have no issues with unmounting the external SD card.
When I try unmounting it from SD card & phone storage, it looks like it is going to unmount but doesn't and Unmount internal phone storage turns white again.
Could an app somehow be causing a lock on it somehow? Is there a way to find out which apps are utilizing the internal storage?
One of the first thing I did when I got my Atrix was enable phone and storage encryption from the settings menu. I recently downloaded and installed Motorola Media Link and got it to work with my phone. When content comes from the phone to the computer, the name and file type are correct, but it doesn't open or play (if a pic or video).
If I navigate to My Computer and open the SD card directly, I can see all the files and copy them over (like pics and vids) but I cannot see the pictures and the videos do not work.
Is encryption causing the problem? Is there any way to utilize motorola software (like Media Link) if encryption is enabled?
If I can't use conventional methods to transfer data from my phone to my computer, are there other options?
There is still a problem when you connect your phone to usb mass storage disappear from the desktop shortcuts to programs that are installed in the media area. Which is why is that?

I have all my music set to availible offline, so it is all stored locally on my phone, but the HDMI entertainment app doesn't detect any music, nor does the motoblur music app. I don't really care about the motoblur music app but how can I get my music recognized by the HDMI entertainment system app (is app the right word for the HDMI entertainment interface?), or is there a new app I can get that will recognize the music synced by google music?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo as the subject says, somehow my internal storage moved to a different location in my phone. It moved from storage/emulated/0 to data/media/0 somehow. I don't know how but now my apps and file managers are unable to access my internal storage and I am unable to download anything from my browser. My nexus 5 is rooted with Android 6.0 and has experimentalx kernel with xposed. Other than that, my nexus 5 is stock. I tried using root browser and solid browser to move my internal storage back to the correct place but that just gives me an error. I also tried using Android commander to move my storage using my pc but it's giving me permission denied. So I don't know what to do.

I've had them before but have been able to download and update apps later but now it is not updating. I have tried downloading new apps and no luck either. I think i have an SD card installed.
And while updating Google Maps, I got another message saying "insufficient storage available" yet I have 9.92 GB of space available.
I have had my Atrix 2 for two weeks now. But ever since I have been at work. Now im actually getting a chance to play with it. So far only a couple of questions. On every font I have (widgets, text, email, home screen), It shows up as a cursive type. I thought when you purchase a phone it is bold normal type. change this font back to regular bold style. How do you have defualt or normal font? This cursive style is way to hard on the eyes for enjoyment.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Motorola Atrix 2 to the new 4.0.4 OS. Previously, I had my phone set up so that I had to enter a pin # if my phone had been asleep for 30 minutes or more. Otherwise, if less than 30 minutes, turning the phone on (from sleep) went directly to the home screen (no swiping or unlock needed). Under the new OS, I cannot seem to keep this. Now, there is a 2-step unlock process (selecting key icon, and then unlock option -- lock icon -- in order to get to main screen). The only way to avoid this annoying 2-step process (that doesn't really add any security) is to turn off all locks, but I would prefer to have some security (i.e. through pin lock after 30 minutes asleep). Anyway to disable this annoying 2-step/swype feature when turning on phone without disabling all locks? If not, is there anyway to go back to my previous OS?

I go into the contact, click edit, tell it to use an existing photo, I crop the photo how I want it, click save, it shows the new photo in the edit screen, I click save again and it defaults back to the facebook photo.
