Does anyone know where the pictures of contacts are stored? I naively thought that I could find them using the gallery app but that is not the case. It would be nice to have some of thoses photos available for reuse.
View 2 RepliesI just upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy to an Atrix 2. All my contacts are stored on my corporate exchange server. I had no trouble setting up my Atrix 2 for corporate sync, and all my e-mails, calendar appointments, and contacts came down to my phone quickly.
However, none of my contacts have pictures. I have searched the forums and found an article telling me to go to the accounts menu to select which account pictures should come from, but there is no such menu on my phone.
What do I need to do to get contact pictures on my phone ? I administer the phones for my corporation, and this is the only smart phone I have ever encountered that did not show contact pictures (Samsung, HTC, Iphone, etc, etc).
I got my atrix 2 yesterday and it was set up in Erie PA at the Best Buy and when I post things to FB or my weather widget, it says I'm in Wesleyville PA which is not too far away but far enough to make a difference. How do I change this? I've trashed the widget and now just use accuweather but the FB posts are irritating me.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using my Atrix 2 only on WiFi (I have taken out of sim Card) in a foreign country.Google Maps, News and Weather apps are not able to determine my current location.Also, the stock weather widget inaccurately determines the location. Also when I go to google.com and yahoo.com from my browser, it goes to the customized page of the foreign country. Also, the location is enabled for WiFi and disabled for GPS. Since, I only using WiFi, using GPS is not useful.

On the phone I added a picture to a contact. Later, I added notes to the contact on Outlook, and the picture on the phone disappeared. What's up with the pictures?

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since the ICS update, my gallery likes to not show the pictures that are on my phone. They were visible pre-ICS, but are now not. If I use a file manager I can see that they are still on my phone and even view them, but they refuse to pop up in my gallery. I have tried the unmounting and mounting of my SD card as I have seen people wiht similar problems do, but have had no success.
Is there a new folder that the pictures need to be moved to to be seen by the gallery app? I'm guessing no because they did occassionally show up after the update, but now won't at all. Still, worth asking.
It looks like thip topic has already been dealt with, but I am experiencing similar problems with my (new) Atrix. Facebook messages do not load through Atrix's Motoblur's messaging widget. The updates seem to be fine, though the contact's pictures do not come up. I deleted group messages from my Facebook homepage (not all of them, just the visible ones on the front page) and I also checked my IMEI, but still nothing.

I noticed yesterday though that when doing a search, they show up fine until you click on one to look at bigger, and it's blurry. On top of that, half the time it shows part of the picture to the left or right of it as well.

Set storage to SD Card and tried to save some pictures sent via SMS/text and am getting an "error saving attachment"I tired to change storage location to internal but that doesn't work either.The only thing that I can see that may be causing the problem is that the pictures were sent form a friend in Thailand and the file has Thai script characters in the filename.Is this a limitation of the phone/Android OS? I have sort of good connection and i tested uploading pics on facebook and picasa with out any problem, but with gmail it just stays at sending and some times it even don't show that status in gmail client. This morning I have made several calender entries and 10 minutes later they are not there. It may well be me not understanding how to retrieve them. So, when you make a calendar entry do you get a choice where it's filed, i.e. phone memory or "cloud". If it's in the cloud is there a way to retrieve them.

I am trying to find out how I can go about hiding those factory installed contacts (like the AT&T ones). I've attempted to delete them, but it says unable to delete read only contacts/files, but that they can be hidden. I've looked under options/edit, and don't see a hide option/setting.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSomething happened to my contact database yesterday and now whenever I access any contacts, look at texts, etc. my phone is very slow to either start the SMS program (the force close/wait dialog continually comes up) or the contact takes a while for the data to appear.Is there a way to erase all the contacts out of the database and resync them all? If so, will erasing the contacts also erase call history, etc? If it does is there a way to not lose this information?
