and change it to be saved/stored in Google acct?

May 23, 2011I am unable to add contacts or edit contact groups. I can create a new group and get as far as checking the check boxes in add contacts to group but it will not update.

Jun 4, 2011I'm trying to change which photo is displayed for certain contacts. Right now it automatically puts facebook photos, I'm trying to change it to a different picture. I go into the contact, click edit, tell it to use an existing photo, I crop the photo how I want it, click save, it shows the new photo in the edit screen, I click save again and it defaults back to the facebook photo.

Jul 24, 2011Is there anyway to change the picture of a contact group? I like sorting my contacts into various groups and use the feature a lot. It would be nice to give each group a different picture instead of the grey head outlines that are next to each group. When I go to Edit Group, it only lets me change the name. Is it possible to change the picture or at least turn the picture off?

Oct 17, 2011I recently upgraded to GB, lost all my phone numbers in my contacts, but thankfully the special app worked and I retrieved them. I want to sync with gmail, but I must of choose the wrong default option, when you add a new one, it asks you gmail or motoblur, always use this choice.
I added a contact and it looks like its a motoblur contact, when I go into accounts motoblur has a lock symbol next to it (odd).
anyhow to the questions:
1) How do I change add contacts to use gmail, now that I do not have a choice when adding new contacts.
2) Is there a qucik guide to remote wipe.
3) Someone mentioned they used motoblur to find their phone, how can I do that?
4) How often does my contacts/books etc sync with gmail, can you increase/decrease it?

Jan 25, 2012I am facing a very frustrating problem. Sometimes when I create/edit a contact and hit save, then search for that contact in my contacts I can't find it!! Or sometimes I can find it but with all the contact information deleted.I am using Verizon Backup assitant to manage my contacts. I wonder if anyone else have the same problem. That problem is not only frustrating, but also embarassing, especially when you are entering a new friend's contact while showing off your phone

Nov 4, 2011Ever since the last system update, the Contact Groups I created have an icon with a padlock next to them and I have no capacity to edit their content.
I can create new Groups (I assume, because there's a button that says I can), but can't change existing ones. I've tried going to the individual contacts to see if the group designation reside there now, etc. I'm wondering if this is tied to Verizon's Backup Assistant, somehow, though my groups don't appear on the web interface for that service at all.

Oct 31, 2011How can I access the internal storage? When I connect via USB, the only storage shown is the SD card I have installed. I can't see the internal storage. I would like to add my pictures from my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2 but I can't. I only have a 2G SD card, which has been fine for years since I save pictures to the phone's memory and do a back up periodically. So how do I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I have tried the USB, MotoLink (which I found out isn't compatible yet), and Phone Portal...nothing. Help please!On the Captivate, I could plug in the USB and two drives would appear...one for the phone's internal memory and one for the external SD card. Does it work that way with the Atrix 2?

Aug 25, 2011When I put my Atrix at the USB mass storage mode with connecting to a PC via USB cable, the App icons on the home screens disappeared immediately if the App was stored at the internal build-in storage (Not SD card). Jun 27, 2011I've noticed recently that my Atrix will no longer unmount the internal storage (either when I select it from SD card & phone storage or when the Atrix is mounted via USB as a USB Mass Storage device). I have no issues with unmounting the external SD card.
When I try unmounting it from SD card & phone storage, it looks like it is going to unmount but doesn't and Unmount internal phone storage turns white again.
Could an app somehow be causing a lock on it somehow? Is there a way to find out which apps are utilizing the internal storage?
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Storage Encryption, Transferring Files To PC
Sep 29, 2011One of the first thing I did when I got my Atrix was enable phone and storage encryption from the settings menu. I recently downloaded and installed Motorola Media Link and got it to work with my phone. When content comes from the phone to the computer, the name and file type are correct, but it doesn't open or play (if a pic or video).
If I navigate to My Computer and open the SD card directly, I can see all the files and copy them over (like pics and vids) but I cannot see the pictures and the videos do not work.
Is encryption causing the problem? Is there any way to utilize motorola software (like Media Link) if encryption is enabled?
If I can't use conventional methods to transfer data from my phone to my computer, are there other options?

I cannot directly access the internal memory through the USB. Is there a way to make it store everything on the SD card?For instance I shoot video and it all goes into the internal memory. Jun 3, 2012I am unable to send a contact detail to another mobile via SMS. Tried going trough contacts, select contact, menu, share, selecting text message. MMS gets selected automatically. After adding recipient & touching send an icon appears in the notification bar & disappears after some time. After some more time a message apears in the notification bar saying that the message was not sent.
