Oct 27, 2011I'm NOKIA C6-00 users, use it heavily on MESSAGES MANAGEMENT (SMS - GATEWAY) for communicating with customers.How can I change NUMBER-ID to CONTACT-ID after I SAVE-CONTACT the MESSAGE from that one person.( I save the MESSAGES number and given the name : Mr.David , but when i look back, the MESSAGES still shows his number not contact-id. The NEXT messages from him work normally, shown his contact-id : Mr.David )

May 10, 2011Recently I cannot edit any contact on the phone (Xperia Mini Pro) - whenever I want to edit a contact the RoadSync opens and gives the following message: "This is not a RoadSync contact. RoadSync cannot edit this contact" Of course it is not a RoadSync contact because there are no RoadSync contacts in my telephone (although, I do use RoadSync). How can I get rid of the message and allow the telephone to edit my contacts (some of them are stored on in the SIM and some are google contacts)?

I have copied all my contact and calendar details from the old phone onto Sony Ericcson PC companion but when I try and copy the data to the new phone I don't seem to have the same options. My number will tansfer on 04.01.11 and am now concerned that I may lose this info

Nov 8, 2010I've recently bought this phone and imported all my contacts from my Gmail address book. Every contact has at least one assigned category, and some have multiple categories. I can filter my contacts on the X10 Mini Pro, which greatly assists in finding people, but I can't see any way to add a category tag to a new contact. I've looked at all the manuals I can find, and don't see this point addressed.

Aug 9, 2010I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. Jan 2, 2010I wonder if anyone can help me. I am using the nokia 5310 and even though I am using a sim card with all my names stored in it, when I get a call or a text from someone who is in my phonebook it still just shows up as a number.
Also the names are not in order in my phone book.I am using this phone in Canada, and I got it from Ireland so the time on my incoming messages is 5 hours behind.So many issues!!

Apr 30, 2010I recently upgraded to OS 5 on the Tour and noticed the whole messaging functionality has changed a lot. With the old OS I could select an email and choose to forward. Then in the To: field I could start typing a contact's name from the address book and it would autocomplete the user and let me choose the address I wanted. Now with OS 5.0 when i type in the contact's name nothing happens. And there is no option to select from a contact list. What am I missing? It shouldn't be this hard to send messages with the new OS, right?

Dec 30, 2011After having gone a couple of months withs with Gingerbread without any problems to report I started experiencing a strange thing with incoming calls, texts, emails, etc.For incoming calls, the number displayed is the correct number but the screen pulls an incorrect name from my contacts list and displays a picture (taken from either LinkedIn or Facebook profiles) that is from a third, different contact.So the number is for Contact A and is the actual caller, the name that is displayed is contact B and the photo is contact c.If I go to make an outgoing call, the same thing in the inverse occurs.I choose Contact A and it dials contact A but displays it is calling contact B.This has caused me to have to double & triple check when I am making calls to ensure that it is calling the right contacts.
A similar thing happens for texts, incoming texts display the correct number from which they are originating but display that they are from a different contact name.When I go to send a text and enter a number it indicates that it is sending it to the correct phone number but with a different name assocaited with that number. Finally, something similar is happening in email messaging. If I hit reply, while the actual email address is correct the contact name that it lists is incorrect.

Context:I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my work contacts (via google apps). I would like to keep these contact lists separate and apart from one another, but accessible if required. When I recieve a text from one of my contacts the number that is displayed is a combination of two numbers from my contacts. It doesn't come up with their names, just their phone numbers seperated by a semicolon. Then when I reply to the message it will go to the first number of the two and not to the person who sent the message in the first place. I believe that this happened when I sent a text message a little while ago with both of these contacts as recipients, however I now cannot seperate these 2 contacts. I have tried deleting all the texts and contacts, however as soon as I get a new text from this contact it shows as both numbers again. The only way I can reply to this contact is to remember to start a new message, otherwise it will go to the wrong person. I have searched on the internet and found a few other people with is issue on an xperia phone
