I was wondering if the X10 can do the same as my last android Hero, which basically link the facebook info contact to my related phone contact, including the picture. I guess this wont need any hardware, but software. Has this improvement being asked or is it planned for future updates?
View 1 RepliesI have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI buyed sony ericsson xperia mini pro few months back. at that time i synced my contacts with facebook with facebook app. And i got all my friend's profile pictures as my contact pictures. But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. I want to get them done as quickly as possible.

Now all the contacs on phone memory are vanished!! while I still have the contacts which were on my SIM card. ( I have checked memory in use and switched it between Phone and SIM , but it does not work) Is there a way for me ? On the Cliq I never had this problem. On the Cliq2 when people update their FB default pictures, it doesn't sync and update them in my address book anymore. Motorola said it should but it doesn't. They offered me a new phone but hello this is my second Cliq2 that it hasn't worked on. Apparently it's not the phone. It's motoblur!
On my N97 mini i select a contact out of the contact-list, i select the correct phone-number and make the call. After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter having gone a couple of months withs with Gingerbread without any problems to report I started experiencing a strange thing with incoming calls, texts, emails, etc.For incoming calls, the number displayed is the correct number but the screen pulls an incorrect name from my contacts list and displays a picture (taken from either LinkedIn or Facebook profiles) that is from a third, different contact.So the number is for Contact A and is the actual caller, the name that is displayed is contact B and the photo is contact c.If I go to make an outgoing call, the same thing in the inverse occurs.I choose Contact A and it dials contact A but displays it is calling contact B.This has caused me to have to double & triple check when I am making calls to ensure that it is calling the right contacts.
A similar thing happens for texts, incoming texts display the correct number from which they are originating but display that they are from a different contact name.When I go to send a text and enter a number it indicates that it is sending it to the correct phone number but with a different name assocaited with that number. Finally, something similar is happening in email messaging. If I hit reply, while the actual email address is correct the contact name that it lists is incorrect.
i have a problem by adding/editing new contact, after i added/edited the contact, it will shown on top of all my contact list, and i can't scroll the letter before the alphabet i added/edited.For example: i added James into my new contact list, it will appear on top of all my contacts with the alphabet J, then i can't scroll down using the scroll bar beside to search for the contacts name with alphabet before J like i want to search Benjamin using scroll bar but i can't, if i want to search someone name with alpahbet after J is fine, what's wrong with my phone?

Context:I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my work contacts (via google apps). I would like to keep these contact lists separate and apart from one another, but accessible if required. However, as this device is primarily for work, I'd like to not have my personal contacts appearing every time i open the Contacts app. The effect I am trying to achieve is after opening contacts --> click menu --> click "Select Contact List..." --> and choosing one.Is there a way to save this as a preference/default so I don't have to filter each time i open my contact list?
Ok so i've just upgraded to the newest firmware my phone offered me (5.1.1) and when i went into my messaging i noticed that my display picture is no longer showing beside my own messages, i've checked everything i can think of and the only thing i can find that may have anything to do with it is that for some reason under the contact "Myself" my partner's hotmail address is listed, i can't edit it or delete it, i can add other fields to the contact but cannot ditch this other email address

I've just had to upgrade my old phone to a flashy N8 (running Anna). Generally it works fine but I have a problem with maps and using a contact as destination.When I tried this I was asked to link the contact address to a place on a map.Apart from the fact this this is a real pain to have to link each one manually (why ?) the other issue is the fact that the Street is changed and the 7 character UK postcode is truncated to 5 characters. I can of course manually correct afterwards.Is there a way of easily setting a number of contacts up without having to manually re-edit the address and postcodes every time ?
