Samsung Galaxy S II :: Messaging Contacts - Delete And/or Edit The Info On A Contact On The List
Oct 14, 2011
Somehow some of the contacts on the "Messaging contacts list" have mixed info. For instance the name doesn't match the picture or the name and picture do not match the related cell no. (1) How do I delete the contact entirely? (2) How do I edit the related info? (3) What if for instance my contact changed their cell no. and I need to edit the list or the info on a particular contact?
Can't edit, add/remove contacts. Only can open a few contacts of the contact list not all. When turning on the device appears: "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (245) is not responding; process terminated"How can I repair this error?Blackberry Storm 9550
I have a weird problem in my Galaxy SII. Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.
When I bought my LG G3 at the sprint store and they transferred all my contacts over from my old device. it shows the same contact 3/4 times in my contact list and i have not been able to delete the extra ones!
I was wondering if the X10 can do the same as my last android Hero, which basically link the facebook info contact to my related phone contact, including the picture. I guess this wont need any hardware, but software. Has this improvement being asked or is it planned for future updates?
I got a new Galaxy S5 about a year ago and put my old SIM card in it to transfer my contacts. The SIM card was used in a Motorola Atrix HD and a Nokia Lumia 520. I need to update and delete some of the original contacts that I put on the SIM card when I was using the two previous phones. However, my Galaxy S5 simply will not register any of the changes. If I choose to delete one of the contacts, it says "The contact will be deleted" but then nothing happens. If I try to edit one of the contacts, it says "Unable to save contact."
This issue only occurs when attempting to edit contacts that were added to the SIM card on either of the two previous phones. If I try to edit or delete a contact that I added using my Galaxy S5, everything works just fine. It sounds like this is an authentication/security issue of some kind, but how do I get around it?
My contact list seems to have automatically imported all of my email contacts from all 4 of my email accounts into my contact list. This makes it really cluttered, andc I'm not sure I really want any emails in there at all, let alone all my ones from 12 years ago.
Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!
When I try to make a call from my Samsung Galaxy 5, I click on the phone icon, it then gives me a message that my contacts have stopped. The message goes away and my phone goes back to home screen. I can't make any calls. I can receive a call and text. When I text the contact list comes up, but not when I try to make a call. Is there a setting I should look for that I may have accidentally overrode or deleted?
The entries in my contact list were created on the phone. I did not import it or sync it with anything. But I cannot edit the contact. I go to phonebook, pick a contact, click edit, then I get the "Contact not found: This contact was not found in the Work Email contact list". I have no idea what this mean.
How do i edit my contact list? when i got the phone, i put in the sim card it asked me if i wanted to import contacts and i said yes now i have duplicates.... (example: there would be a "John Smith", and then another one that says "Smith; John") i've been playing around with the bb key and options and everything.
My contacts in my phone are just freakin' trashed, I have no idea how the hell it happened and im not sitting on my phone all night editing them, theres special characters in them, unnecessary numbers... how can I do it on my PC? Im not paying for Outlook, so thats out of the question...
When i add a new contact, or when I edit an existing contact. It appears in the top of the contact list. Knowing the the contact name does not start with letter A, and it appears above contacts with letter A.
was editing my contact list on my Nokia 6303 ci when unintentionally the battery has been removed. Now all the contacs on phone memory are vanished!! while I still have the contacts which were on my SIM card. ( I have checked memory in use and switched it between Phone and SIM , but it does not work) Is there a way for me ? (for sure in order to recover the contacs on phone memory and not to vanish the rest on SIM!
I am facing a very frustrating problem. Sometimes when I create/edit a contact and hit save, then search for that contact in my contacts I can't find it!! Or sometimes I can find it but with all the contact information deleted.I am using Verizon Backup assitant to manage my contacts. I wonder if anyone else have the same problem. That problem is not only frustrating, but also embarassing, especially when you are entering a new friend's contact while showing off your phone
Can anyone assist with resolving the problem I have with downloading of the contacts list from a Samsung Galaxy Gio to the CK-200? I also find it strange that when pairing the devices, the phone does not request the code 0000 that is displayed by the CK-200.The other problem experienced is the breaking up of the incoming callers voice and a loud humming noise. The CK-200 has V4.0 software.
A friend just sent me someone's number by SMS (.vcf file)
I imported it but it doesn't show up in my contacts list in Go Dialler, or the stock dialler. It does show up in Handcent when I try to compse a message to him though.
I have a few contacts that as long as I have texts from them they show up when I search for their names in the "people" section of the phone app. When I delete their texts and search for them the contact info isn't there. However, if I enter their number instead of their name on the dialer their contact info shows up. I'm so confused as to why this would happen.
I will try again and hope I have entered all relavent information. I have a 8530 curve, I am having issues with my contacts list. I have tried to add and or edit. I am able to get to the screen and press edit and or add contacts, but after I click on them the phone does nothing.
I can't save new contacts on my phone. Once I go to contact and go to new contact there's no action on the same way. I cant edit a contact on my list and another on my menu there's a option that says: "This has no contacts"....
When I get a picture message from someone is there anyway I can see who its from without opening it? I just got this phone 3 days ago and I don't want to waste minutes on pointless picture messages my friends send me.
My IPhone4S occasionally changes names on received mail to telephone numbers, it also deletes any names that were in Contacts - if I change an email back to a name that Contact is not lost
Somehow when I sync my Bold 9700 to my Outlook for Mac (which is linked to my Google mail account), the contacts in my device are duplicated as part of a Contact List that I never created. What's even weirder is that the name of that contact list is named with another email address, which was once from one of my contacts. Confusing?
Anyway, I cannot find anywhere in Outlook or Google, or on my device, an option to remove the bogus contact list.
