I will try again and hope I have entered all relavent information. I have a 8530 curve, I am having issues with my contacts list. I have tried to add and or edit. I am able to get to the screen and press edit and or add contacts, but after I click on them the phone does nothing.

Did I somehow set up some kind of shortcut? Anything? I just got the phone replaced two days ago because the other one wouldn't work with BBM or e-mail.....

3. Service Provider:- Vodafone India
Whenever I tried to Add / Edit contacts nothing happen just exceptions are thrown . I tried to wipe data from Security but nothing happened.
I gave my 'old' Blackberry 8520 to my husband as I had upgraded. He put the sim from his Samsung phone in the BB. He is now unable to ' add new contact ' or edit any of his contacts. I had wiped the phone and taken it back to factory settings before I gave it to him. He does not have any of the messengers on it except BBM.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft OutlooIk Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install ntellisync through the Wizard and I get a “successfully installed message, but when I click “OK” the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found” appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks or Contacts etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.

My previous cell was the 9630 Tour and I was able to do that with no issues. My 9810 was running the default OS (252 I think) and I was unable to edit the groups. I updated the OS thinking that might have been fixed but it doesn't look like it has.

I have tried a factory reset, exporting contacts to SD card and importing, importing from Outlook, removing all contacts from GMail then syncing with Outlook, and just about every other thing I could find online to do. No where do I have the option of deleting all of my contacts and starting over.

Removed old Blackberry Desktop program and reinstalled new one from Blackberry internet but did not fix problem. I do not get any error codes when this happens. I add new "contact and calendar event" in both Entourage Contacts and Calendar as well as adding both in the Blackberry and then sync and nothing is exchanged.

Is there a way to activate caller ID for my BB contact list? I just switched from a Samsung, on that phone I had caller ID for all the contacts in my contact list. My Blackberry doesn't seem to do this. As long as I had someone in my contact list their info was displayed when they called. Numbers that weren't in my contact list/phonebook would show as just the number-which is fine. Is there a way to have the BB do this as well? Its very frustrating as I have no idea who is calling me... If the info is already in the phone there should be a way to have that displayed when people call.
