Oct 13, 2011Why will the Electrify not import pics from Microsoft Outlook to the phone? I contacted Motorola and they said a pic could only be imported from a social networking site. Never had this problem with my HTC. Even if you take a pic with your phone, you can't attach it to a contact.

Sep 29, 2011I've got a very strange problem. When I try to set a contact as a favorite by pressing the star it flashes a couple of times and then goes out. When I go to the favorites tab a different contact is now the favorite. No matter which contact I try to make a favorite only that one contact becomes a favorite. The same goes for ringtones. If I try to set a ringtone for a contact it remains the default ringtone and the same contact that always gets flagged as a favorite gets assigned the ringtone. I have tried refreshing my phone and starting over to no avail. This used to work even after upgrading to GB.

Dec 5, 2011I've got the atrix on t-mobile contract but cannot figure out how to set a custom ringtone for the SMS? I've got the custom one for the phone call. But the text message one has me baffled? I select text message >menu setting > messaging settings > select ringtone. But it doesn't offer the option to select a custom one.I've tried putting an mp3/m4a track in the notification folder by connecting the phone to a usb cable and pc, but the tracks dont show up in the select ringtone setting?

Feb 15, 2012I've had an Atrix2 since Mid-Nov.2011, and have really had no problems with it so far except a couple apps freezing and having to reboot the phone. But just recently, when I have had to reboot the phone (y'know just cuz u need to reboot a computer sometimes to make it work better) the ringtones I have set as the main ringtone and the notification sounds get reset to random mp3 songs I have downloaded on the phone. It's a different one every time this has happened, too. It doesn't even reset to the AT&T tone that it came with. I have two apps that may affect it. "Zedge Ringtones" and "MP3 Ringtone Maker." This also happened the other day but didn't notice it till my alarm went off to wake up in the AM. The audio for THAT was not was previously set. So, I really don't know HOW this is happening. I do have an aftermarket alarm app called "Alarm Clock Plus." (I have a separate issue with the factory alarm app for another thread)

Aug 12, 2012When you make a call sometimes it just plays your ringtone? I have had this issue on and off since I bought my Atrix 2 in February but it seems to be getting worse. When I click on the person I want to call it brings it up like it is going to call them but instead of ringing them it just plays the ringtone. It even plays the special ringtone if I have assigned the person one on my phone but it never actually calls them. The only way I can make calls again once it starts is to power off the phone and power it back on.

Aug 9, 2010I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

Jun 3, 2012I am unable to send a contact detail to another mobile via SMS. Tried going trough contacts, select contact, menu, share, selecting text message. MMS gets selected automatically. After adding recipient & touching send an icon appears in the notification bar & disappears after some time. After some more time a message apears in the notification bar saying that the message was not sent.

Jun 4, 2011I'm trying to change which photo is displayed for certain contacts. Right now it automatically puts facebook photos, I'm trying to change it to a different picture. I go into the contact, click edit, tell it to use an existing photo, I crop the photo how I want it, click save, it shows the new photo in the edit screen, I click save again and it defaults back to the facebook photo.

Aug 13, 2011I just recently performed the 4.5.91 update on my phone, and it has altered/edited my contacts. The older software allowed for birthday/anniversary information. Cannot figure out how to add this information back to my contacts. For the "few" that actually still showed the birthday/anniversary information, either the dates are off or they just appear as a group of numbers. When I try to delete the incorrect/altered information, it doesn't give me the ability to do that.

Motorola Atrix HD :: Contact Events Missing From Calendar?
Oct 6, 2012I am using Gmail Calendar. I have subscribed to the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar using the Gmail web interface. The Android Calendar App lists this calendar as synchronized and visible. Unfortunately, the anniversary, birthday, and other events from the calendar do not display. I purchased the CalenGoo App to troubleshoot this issue. CalenGoo also fails to display the the "Contacts' birthdays and events" content via the Android account. However, if I manually add my same Gmail account to CalenGoo and allow it to sync independently, then the events appear as expected. This indicates that Android is not actually synchronizing the events from this calendar, although the UI reports that it is.
I have tried deleting the Calendar Data from the phone, removing and re-adding the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar in Gmail, and re-syncing on Android various times. These actions had no effect.Is anyone with a Motorola Atrix HD seeing this behavior, or getting the contact birthdays and anniversaries to display?
