I have just updated to ICS. So far so good but a number of my contacts have incorrect telepohone numbers. This happened when importing contacts from my motoblur account to a previous phone - either the 0 was left off the beginning or the number changed to something like this 3.51967E+11.
View 3 RepliesI am facing a very frustrating problem. Sometimes when I create/edit a contact and hit save, then search for that contact in my contacts I can't find it!! Or sometimes I can find it but with all the contact information deleted.I am using Verizon Backup assitant to manage my contacts. I wonder if anyone else have the same problem. That problem is not only frustrating, but also embarassing, especially when you are entering a new friend's contact while showing off your phone

Ever since the last system update, the Contact Groups I created have an icon with a padlock next to them and I have no capacity to edit their content.
I can create new Groups (I assume, because there's a button that says I can), but can't change existing ones. I've tried going to the individual contacts to see if the group designation reside there now, etc. I'm wondering if this is tied to Verizon's Backup Assistant, somehow, though my groups don't appear on the web interface for that service at all.
My wife just got the Droid Razr after her X went bad. I was trying to set up her email accounts and the force close kept popping up. I tried a factory reset but that didn't help.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the Razr Maxx thru Verizon.I have a husband and wife setup as separate contacts but same last names.If I use voice and say "Linda" it brings up her contact. If I select it so her name shows it the contact field then send a text message, it ends up under her husbands conversation. It appears to have been sent to her husband.But I don't get replies.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have over 3000 contacts. When entering a name in the search field, the Razr only seems to search for the FIRST word in a contact field. Because I have so many contacts, I input key words in contact fields. Either in first name, last name or company. I may have the persons name in the last & first name fields and in the company field I may input their company name and or simply input several key words to remember them by... such as where I met them, how I remember them, etc. Now, my iphone will search for ANY of these words in the contacts fields, however my new Razr seems to only pick up the FIRST WORD in each field. With as many contacts as I have, I cannot depend on searching this way! COME ON!?, Really? Am I doing something wrong?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use Handcent SMS for texting. I just received my Razr Maxx last week. I can not get the texting program to show the pictures of my contacts. I think the problem has something to do with Verizon Backup Assistant +. If I go in manually for the contact and put the contact photo in, then I can see them in Handcent SMS. I have many contacts, and I really don't want to do this manually.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.

It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect.It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.

Now, after several days' worth of set-up, google searches, forum searches and FAQ's, I'm come to the conclusion that Motorola did NOT build this function into the Droid Razr, and I have to pay a hefty fee for a decent 3rd-party app to do what my Blackberry did for free. View 1 Replies View RelatedI frequently hit adjacent keys while texting on my old Droid X. A larger screen and of course 4G and a faster processor were appealing as well. As the Razr HD models sport screens almost as large as the S3 I ran to see them on their first day out of the gates. What a disappointment! Holding my old Droid X up against them I saw that the usable screen sizes were identical. Namely 4.3" unless playing videos in which case the video filled up the Razr HD's 4.7" screen. I couldn't find anything else that would fill up the screen. Perhaps, photos might. But internet browsing, texting and whatever else I tried occupied a 4.3" inset within the 4.7" screen. So why have a 4.7" screen at all? The Galaxy S3 on the other hand fills up the entire 4.8" screen with not only video but everything else, including texting, messaging, web browsing, and everything else I tried. So what gives? Why did you even create a 4.7" screen if you aren't going to utilize it to its full potential?
